Multiple Sclerosis-Afflicted Neil Cavuto Slams MSNBC’s Attacks on Ann Romney: ‘Horse’s Asses’…

MSNBC’s continuous string of near slander against Mitt Romney has just spawned yet another aggressive bit of push-back, this time from Neil Cavuto of Fox News. You may recall that MSNBC anchor Lawrence O‘Donnell recently slammed Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann Romney, for claiming that she participates in the sport of dressage as therapy for her multiple sclerosis. According to O’Donnell, “There are a lot of things you can do to try to deal with MS. But come on, dressage does not appear in any of the more traditional courses of treatment.”

Turns out that that assertion is breathtakingly wrong, as Cavuto pointed out while citing multiple clinical organizations that treat multiple sclerosis and consider horse therapy a very traditional, and often very effective form of therapy. Watch his takedown here:

Cavuto Video to MsNBC: “Lean Forward – Bend Over! You… ‘Horses Asses’…

As you can plainly see, Cavuto doesn’t pull punches in this clip. “You’ve got a disease in your name – maybe you should stop calling names,” he starts the segment.

He then proceeds to go right for the jugular, while still remaining preternaturally calm, calling MSNBC a collection of “horse’s asses“ and slamming them as ”condescending, sanctimonious“ people with ”incredible ignorance” of multiple sclerosis treatments. He then points out that the horse riding therapy – known as “hippotherapy,” according to Cavuto – is used to treat walking conditions associated with multiple sclerosis. Quoting from the “industry bible” on neurology, Cavuto says straight out that “this is a legitimate therapy.”

Cavuto’s stern correction only serves to confirm the generally low opinion of MSNBC which is beginning to percolate amongst the rest of the media. Glenn Beck, for instance, hammered the network over its smear tactics on his radio show today after savaging their most recent factual errors:

“You have no credibility at all,” Beck thundered. “The ratings are going to tank on MSNBC, because Americans are fair.”

On a side note, setting aside the numerous factual errors on the network, Cavuto‘s takedown misses a blistering example of hypocrisy on the part of Lawrence O’Donnell. To complain about how particular therapies don’t appear on the “traditional” list, when the Left has pushed for numerous untested medical ideas, such as embryonic stem cell research and assisted suicide. Neither of these is in any way “traditional,” and O’Donnell is not on record opposing either of them, so why the selectiveness?

Hear and see Beck radio takedown of MSNBC video to fit their agenda:  Here

RIDING AS THERAPY

Equine therapy is catching on as a fun and helpful activity for many MS patients.

One to three times a week a growing group of MS patients across the country saddle up to relieve some of their symptoms and to boost their self-esteem. Equine therapy is used to treat a variety of diseases and disorders besides MS, including mental illness, cerebral palsy, and brain injury. According to the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association Inc. (NARHA) in Denver, Colorado, more than 26,000 riders with disabilities benefit from therapeutic horseback riding activities at NARHA centers.  Read full article here

Eat My Peas

Time to point a few things, watch them like a hawk and speak up!

The next time somebody tells me we must all sacrifice to save our country, I am going to tell them, “eat my peas”. Thank you, President Obama, for a great line.

First, let’s get something straight - soldiers and sailors and marines and airmen sacrifice to save our country; nobody else does. This whole shared sacrifice thing is a crock - the cannibal demanding a shared sacrifice at dinnertime.

Where was the shared sacrifice when the businessman quit his job 30 years ago and double-mortgaged his home to take a chance on a dream? Did any teachers come and work in his firm during their summer off so that his wife and kids could have a week of proper vacation? Did anyone donate their savings so she would not have to work two jobs to support the family during those start-up years?
And who was it that shared the sacrifice of the medical school or law school student – did the IT tech at the Department of Motor Vehicles babysit for free so that single mom could sleep for a few hours before the bar exam? Who was their brothers’ keeper back then, comrade?

Why are we only all in this together when the it-takes-the-village-people want to tax the dentists, doctors, lawyers, businesspeople, financiers, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors, visionaries, workaholics and all who have risen to the top of their professions into oblivion? Why do they wait 30 years and then come after our stuff?

And sacrifice for what? To cop an overused phrase, let me be clear: it is not the country they want to save, it’s the government. More specifically, it is their cushy government jobs and their generous government pensions and perks. When any partisan says we all need to sacrifice, he or she is saying that you need to sacrifice so they don’t. There’s your moment of clarity.

Not them, not their team, oh no. They are victims, martyrs, lambs who have already been slaughtered. $100k per year to watch porn on the job and you want me to eat peas? GE doesn’t pay a dime in taxes but you expect me to pitch in the other arm and the other leg? Eat my peas, buddy.

Shared sacrifice means we give and they take; that is the sharing formula. Last night I saw another ugly advertisement where the Cannibal Party candidate in the Milwaukee area recall election told me we all have to share in the sacrifice. Eat my peas, lady.
I don’t even know who you are, and I don’t know the lady you are running against, but I know she was elected fair and square. This recall nonsense in Wisconsin is a farce – a union election, run by out of state union pimps. Anyone who has been through one knows the familiar feel.

They get enough signatures to call an election, use the NLRB (oops, GAB) to rig the rules in their favor, schedule it faster than the management side can react, bring in the goons and the cash from outside and then lie, threaten, bully, bribe and cheat to win at all cost. Been there, done that - won all four times.

How low will they go? How about paying kids to lie in advertisements? The very first one they ran in Milwaukee shows “local” kids blaming the pain that the Milwaukee teachers’ union inflicted on its own members – layoffs, larger class sizes – on their Republican opponent. The kids weren’t even local, and the script was so bogus my dogs walked out of the room.

Using kids to spread lies – JFK would be so proud. What’s next, some pre-teen crying in a wheelchair? “Alberta Darling eats children and she closed all of the schools so that my mommy would die.” And when the director yells “cut”, the little princess jumps out of the wheelchair, puts on a flannel shirt, grabs a fishing rod, tucks the pony tail under the cap and pretends to be a boy from Rhinelander: “Kim Simac sold all the hospitals and schools to the Taliban so they can ban country music and dump nuclear waste into the Wisconsin River.”

“Paid for by friends of Agenda 21”. Eat my peas, Soros.

A liberal apologist for those over-the-top ads said they are thought-provoking. Here’s a thought - who in their right mind would spend millions to win a job that pays $49,000 per year? Or this - which did you lose first, your scruples or your marbles? And what on earth do they want to do to us that they want to win bad enough to force kids to lie? That’s what those skanky ads made me think about.
As a Libertarian, I had fully intended to stay out of the Wisconsin recall fray. It is a purely partisan peeing contest that will have no impact; and as one of my Facebook friends keenly observed, Republicans’ and Democrats’ top priority is to punish each other. It’s a stupid game, and I didn’t feel like playing. Using kids to lie changed my mind.

So please, vote Republican, no matter who it is. Not because I love Republicans; I don’t. But while Republicans are un-libertarian, Democrats are anti-libertarian. The modern-day Democrat Party stands for nothing; it is the party that pays kids to lie. It’s the Government Party, seeking more government for the sake of more government. Watch their ads in the recall, if you can stomach the bullsnot, and tell me what they stand for, besides not being Scott Walker. And paying kids to lie.

We already did not-Scott-Walker. A decade of not-Scott-Walker left us $3 billion in the tank with the 4th worst business climate in the nation, 39% proficient schools, a smoking ban on private property, tax hikes every year, unilateral personal disarmament, some useless train cars, and a ban on organic milk sales in the Dairy State.
You want me to sacrifice some more for that? Eat my peas.

Watch Them Like a Hawk

July 25, 2011
By Frank Neudecker  -  Watch Them Like A Hawk

Thursday, September 29, 2005

“In private meetings last week, GOP leaders sharply criticized rank-and-file Republicans for taking issue with the surge in spending…

“‘This leadership group is so out of touch, it’s unbelievable,’ said one House lawmaker, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid inflaming leaders further.”

- Jonathan Weisman, Washington Post

They dragged Congressman Mike Pence into a dark room.  They closed the door and attacked him repeatedly without mercy…

And why did they see fit to strong-arm this conservative champion?
Because Congressman Pence had the gall to suggest that the federal government should control its spending and cut hundred of billions of dollars of “pork” from the federal budget.

And who are the “they” I refer to?

At the time, none other than our Republican leaders in Congress: Former Speaker Dennis Hastert, then Majority Leader Tom DeLay, former Ways & Means Chairman Bill Thomas and Transportation Chairman Don Young, among others.

Seriously, Congressman Pence’s trip to the woodshed was so severe that columnist Robert Novak noted that when offered a seat at a subsequent meeting, Pence “explained that he would be more comfortable standing because House Speaker Dennis Hastert had just tanned his hide.”

Think betrayal will not happen again.

If you are a conservative, you voted for less government and better fiscal responsibility, and the Republican leaders promised you’d get it. But if we are not careful all they’ve given us is more out-of-control spending. And taxpayers like you and me and our children and our children’s children are stuck footing the bill.
In some ways Congressman Pence, (may I note that the highway bills he and other congress critters were willing to forego were also unconstitutional) should be applauded, not taken to the woodshed for trying to keep the promise that a great many at that time broke.
So what to do?

Well you can write your representative and tell them what you think; most of them know my mind already and consider me a nut case which is probably true. But I am a nut case with some power.
About a five thousand a day read this site’s news and comments. Not bad for a nut case.

So what (should we do) for the rest of us to do you ask. Continue to write your Congress critter, give them the support they need when they do the right thing. Keep up with the bills that are on the State floors and the floors of Washington. Read the Constitution of the United States…. several times…. Read your state Constitution… at least once. Then Read the Federalist Papers … a difficult read…. but worth it.  Getting into the habit of carrying a pocket version of the Constitution is a good idea as well.  (Part of the reason the government and the courts get away with unconstitutional actions is because Americans don’t know what they have!).

Also See:  The Original Argument  -  The Federalist Papers written in modern language.  Also check out: The Road to Serfdom Also:  The Annotated U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution For Dummies for those who think they might need some additional insight.

When something comes up that you think is wrong, discuss it with close friends. Stand your ground and write your critter again. But always remember to write your critter when they do something right too.

It’s good to let them know what you think.

Libertarian GOP Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson, reacting to the latest Boehner and Reid debt compromise deals after another grueling WH meeting (the big problem with both is that they don’t solve the spending problem which will destroy us because Obama is really only interested in appearances and winning re-election), just appeared with Neil Cavuto and says we’d be off ‘not’ raising the debt ceiling now… than wait until later, even if it drove us into default, but says there is plenty of money to pay the interest on the debt, SS, the Military etc. so the only way they wouldn’t get paid is if Obama chose not to, to use it as a political weapon.  He added that Cut, Cap and Balance is the only answer with the balanced budget amendment as the lynch pin.  There is a great possibility that the S&P and Moody’s will down grade the U.S. credit rating anyway… and preventing that is the only reason even to consider raising the debt ceiling!

Well respected American Thinker: The Tea Party, Right About Everything!

**An added point: As I was watching Judge Andrew Napolitano on the Five he talked about the fact that Obama or any president does not have the power to cover financial debt, raise the debt ceiling or the power to cover related financial issues or debt by using an Executive Order. Obama quotes the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as his reference and justification for his threat to execute and sign an Executive Order (EO) to raise the debt ceiling if the Congress does not do what he wants. According to the Constitution under the wise concept of separation of powers, the House of Representatives holds the purse strings and the Congress must initiate and pass and all bills regarding funding and finances. The President’s only power is negotiation and to veto the bills sent to him. The provisions in the 14th Amendment were written to deal with unique issues caused by the Civil War and the execution of the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. The left keeps distorting them wrongly applying the provisions to allow them to do whatever they want… not what is legal, Constitutional or what the American People want!!

Wake-up and Stand-up America, while you still can!

In True Alinsky Fashion… the Left Accuses the GOP of What They Are Planning

If you are not familiar with Saul Alinsky and his book that is a Bible to our present administration,  Rules for Radicals, its time…  The Obama White House and election committee will use Alinsky Methods, Cloward and Piven’s blueprint, Cass Sunstein’s Nudging and if necessary the tactics of their friends, like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn of the Weather Underground to promote their globalism, their Progressive goals and to steal the 2012 election if America does not wake up!!

It is ObamaCare that will through the Grandma over the cliff and in front of the death panel through rationing, but one of the Rules for Radicals is to turn the focus from yourself and from what you plan to do onto your adversary or opponent.

AARP is in the bag for the administration, but they are using their power and database to scare seniors into voting the opposite of what will save them and their healthcare… Medicaid and Medicare.  ObamaCare is big money for AARP!

Video:  Commercial shows Paul Ryan "Throwing Grandma over the cliff" commercial

How moral is it to create an anti-GOP political ad showing "Grandma thrown off a cliff" asks Neil Cavuto, today, interviewing  progressive advocate and creator of that ad, Erica Payne, Agenda Project Founder, "when you know that the plan being discussed exempts those  55 and older?"  Cavuto's outrage was enough to make him resurrect the "Death Panels".  Read Rest of Article Here

2011 - Time for the Next Step…

Video: 2010… Time to Change

Video:  2011… Time for the Next Step

Welcome to a new year and the biggest two months for America, Freedom and Capitalism (as recapped by FBN’s Neil Cavuto on his first show of 2011).  Two months can change the world and two months will tell the story of change or status quo in Washington and whether Americans have chosen enlightenment or despair… courage or fear… Big Brother or God… to become self-reliant and fighters or pons and quitters for 2011. Remember, out Founding Fathers gave us a road map to success, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution and they gave us the perfect vehicle for freedom, a Republic, but warned us that it was our job to remain vigilant and educated in order to keep it.

Words are meaningless unless they lead you toward action.

Glenn Beck started his season calling his audience to a personal revolution as the left is calling theirs to violent revolution (see below).  He is challenging them to move from the couch to action and he will use his show to inspire those who take the challenge to do so.

Beck’s message from the Blaze

message

America is at a crossroads. We have known this for 10 years now but after each tragic event or “bubble” America has gone back to sleep because we wanted to believe that we could have it all and “it just isn’t as bad as they say.” Our gut however, has told us that it was time to wake up and use what used to be known as “common sense.” It is what Americans from all points of the political compass meant when focus groups gave every politician the presidential campaign slogan, change.

After spending years, and thousands of man-hours, in research, reflection, and prayer, my team and I have come to realize that a “Fundamental Transformation” is required. While it is just as powerful, it’s also the polar opposite of what President Obama touted last election. President Obama and the progressive ruling class of both parties believe in the collective planned society. I believe America’s answers are to be found with, by, and in the individual American honestly pursuing happiness not in 2,000 page bills.

If one is looking for a “collective” based solution it can be found in the phrase: America is great because America is good. When we look for our answers in Washington we ask our politicians or parties to “make us good.” They cannot. But we can, must, and will. The secret our Founders understood was that America is good because individual Americans are honest, just, thrifty, responsible, educated, charitable and God fearing.

“America is great because America is good” is not just some trite slogan. It is a deep and well thought out philosophy that has over 200 years of evidence of its truth. Yet we are being told on every level from our classrooms to our newsrooms that America is not good and never was great.

We cannot as a nation survive much longer. We must take a page from our own history at the Alamo and “draw a line in the sand.” We must decide who we are, what we are capable of and look to the heavens to chart our course. Do we return to the ideas of the past or do we continue West to the yet unrealized and unfulfilled promises laid out in our Founding ideals? We must choose as individuals and then put those choices into action. We must demonstrate to our children, neighbors and to ourselves that it is not policies or politicians but people that make this nation what it is for better or for worse.

This year, I as an individual and private citizen stand at those crossroads and boldly declare my choice. I will not accept that America’s best days are behind Her, that there is no such thing as American exceptionalism. Nor will I stand by silently as the most charitable nation in the history of mankind now needs the IRS to act as our charitable collection basket. I refuse to believe that Eric Holder is right when he states that we “are a nation of cowards” when it comes to issues of race.

I will admit our wrongdoing, but I will not be a constant apologist for our nations mistakes. However, I will also look for historical context. I choose to believe that while many Americans may be ignorant of even the basics of our own history, Americans are waking up in record numbers educating themselves. One of the first things they will find is that History tells us when this happens Americans change the world.

I will no longer look to others for leadership or answers. I will lead my family and teach them to be independent, honorable, educated and charitable. With firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence I choose to ReFound this amazing nation by rediscovering within myself, and my own circle of influence, the principles and ethics that defined American exceptionalism.

n 2011, my wife and I will dedicate significantly more of our personal resources to what some call charity but as you and I will show is nothing less than “investing in people.” I have also charted a new and exciting course for my company Mercury Radio Arts. I currently have plans on hiring more than 40 people as I expand many of our operations as well as creating new divisions such as one that will be known as “E4 Experiences”.

Over the next 12 months, all Mercury divisions, radio, television, books, digital and stage will focus on what I call ‘The E4 Solution.” The four “Es” consist of: Enlightenment, Education, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship. We will challenge ourselves and those who choose to chart this course with us, to find what we as individuals really believe, challenge what we think we know and dig deep to find out what we are each capable of.

Today, I call out to those who are tired of feeling powerless. Commit to become the person you were meant to be, not who you have allowed yourself to become; the Father, mother, sibling, friend, businessperson and American. As the old story goes:

A man decided that he would change the world.

But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change the country.

But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his community.

But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his street.

But, be wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change his family.

But, he wasn’t successful.

So he decided to change himself.

AND HE WAS SUCCESSFUL.

AND HIS FAMILY CHANGED AND THEY AFFECTED THEIR STREET.

AND THE PEOPLE ON THE STREET AFFECTED THEIR COMMUNITY.

AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY AFFECTED THEIR COUNTRY.

AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COUNTRY AFFECTED THE WORLD.

Today, I ask you to take the first step in your success. This is part Enlightenment and part Empowerment (E1 and E3 of the E4 Solution). One of America’s premiere psychiatric minds, concerned American and good friend Dr. Keith Ablow has been working with me on a project called “The 7.” Together we have developed 7 steps that can help you change your life, I know because they are the 7 steps that I used to change my life. This book meant for those who are tired being less than happy, fulfilled and want to be a part of a life that is bigger than they can currently imagine.

In the next 12 months, I challenge each American to come to the place where they can say without equivocation “YES, I CAN.” I believe strong, educated, charitable individuals who can stand on their own two feet, because they know who they are, will be remembered by future historians as those Americans who once again answered the call and changed the world again.

We have know for 10-years… more if you were a student of history and politics, that things were going very wrong in America.  Calls to get back to Common Sense.  But we chose to ignore it because we didn’t want to believe it.  We are now at the point for action and good change or lose the America we know and the beacon of hope and freedom for the world.

We were all born at this time for a reason…  We must all answer the call and find our purpose.

Sadly a fundamental transformation is necessary, but a fundamental transformation exactly the opposite of the Obama, the Clintons and the Progressives want.

America is great because America (and Americans as a group are) is good… De Tocqueville.  This is a true statement but for 100-years our children have been programmed to believe exactly the opposite.  We will not survive if we allow this lie to continue to be taught and perpetuated.

From our own history… today we that hear the call and anyone that we can awaken must draw a line in the sand and choose to change as individuals and prove to ourselves, our neighbors and our children that it is people that make a difference and are what matters.

Glenn had made a plan for himself and invites your to join him as a private citizen and as an individual.  He said he will not accept that America’s best days are behind us.  He refuses to believe the Progressive lies that we and our children have been fed.  It is time to stop apologizing for our mistakes, look back to history at and for our good and bad, and continue education ourselves (and our children) in the truth.

A George Washington or Ronald Reagan will hopefully turn up at sometime again, but we must each choose to re-found this nation through ourselves… one person, family and community at a time.

Faith Hope and Charity must be our base but it is time to move forward in the 4-E’s Enlightenment, Education, Empowerment, and Entrepreneurship.  Beck challenged himself and invites anyone who wants to come along to join him.

Beck and his wife Tanya will invest more of their resources in Charity… into people.

Beck’s new project:  The Seven Project.  It correlates with his new book for which he has done no promotion.  He knows it will get into the hands of those who need and want it.  The 7: Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life

If you want to change things, you must change yourself!  Start living the answer.  Make a plan.  Live a planned life.  Put God first; Your Family (Your Spouse who is your partner and should be part of every decision) Next… and then kids etc; Country 3rd; Your Job or Responsibility 4th; and your Passion 5th.  Pray for God’s help and guidance daily and talk to him throughout the day.  You cannot do it alone.  Spend time daily learning something about America and our history, one on one time with your spouse, and kids at home, reading scripture and at least a chapter of something else worthwhile.  Volunteer and share your knowledge.  Some entertainment… TV, sports, etc is fine but it should be the extra.  Be generous!!  Work toward being self-sufficient and being prepared for any emergency. Always use common sense!  Tithe and help those in need.  Be kind and giving…  give more than you think you have to give. Step out of your comfort zone and be brave.  Be an example, especially if you have children (and doubters) watching you.

I have had some people say to me… I don’t even know what to pray.   I received this simple prayer  suggestion from a friend:

"Lord, I recognize that I am a sinner and have tried to do it all on my own... please come into my heart and be the Lord of my life and guide me with your Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus. Amen".  Then sit back and prepare for the ride of your life.

The most important thing is asking God every morning, what He wants you to do, where He wants you and your spouse to work and focus.  Do what and where that special place is that He wants you so.

We Warned You About Czars – Jim Harper and Fox’s Neil Cavuto Discuss “Cyber Czar”

It's not just the bloggers who are paranoid! Jim Harper of the Cato Institute says Cyber Czar can be the internet's "Big Brother".
Jim Harper of The Cato Institute Discusses the "Cyber Czar" on FBN with Neil Cavuto (Video)
President Barack Obama says the nation for too long has failed to adequately protect the security of its computer networks, and he will name a new cyber czar to take on the job.

Anyone else think this is simply a disguise to allow Team ‘O’ to police the Internet? Cyber-censorship, cyber-Brown Shirts patrol?

Call me paranoid, but this sounds suspicious. Don't we already have the FBI, CIA, NSA, and the Department of Homeland Security to handle all this? No, we need another czar because Rhambo and the Arrogant One need to have a White House staffer involved in everything; total control.

Here's the link to the White House report "Cyberspace Policy Review".

--------

By Neil Cavuto

FNC

Well please do not say we did not warn you –- the czar thing –- and that it would not end with a car czar…it would just start there. Some of you didn’t listen. Maybe you should have.

(BEGIN VIDEO MONTAGE)

(DECEMBER 11, 2008)

Or well please tell me who came up with this car czar thing. As if it wasn’t communist enough to just about take over an industry, now we have to throw out names to confirm it?

(JUNE1, 2009)

CAVUTO: Steve Rattner, who heads this auto task force, he’s like Oz. You know, I never see the guy. I never see the guy.

And I know this is not a position that requires Senate confirmation. But, again, I am delighted to see you talking to the press. He never does.

What is the deal?

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE, WHITE HOUSE ECONOMIC ADVISER: Well, you know, you should — you should try to get him. He is a lot prettier than I am.

(CROSSTALK)

CAVUTO: Actually, I have tried to get him, and he never is available. But you are. And I admire and respect that, as I did in the days when you were working for then candidate Obama.

But, I mean, I know you’re not going to trash the guy who chairs the task force on which you sit, but this is what troubles a lot of folks on both aisles here, all these czars running around, and apparently accountable to no one, and apparently not talking to anyone.

GOOLSBEE: No, but, now, wait.

(JUNE 3, 2009)

Leaving aside that things didn't work out too well for the last czar, the administration likes czars. We've got a car czar, a financial regulatory czar, soon a cyber-security czar.

I don't know where this czar thing is going. I do know it's going without anyone writing off on it or them.

Not us. Not even Congress.

(MAY 28, 2009)

What if I told you a decision later this week could impact you even more? New reporters saying the president is said to appoint a cyber czar for the Internet.

God they love the czar thing, you know? Things didn’t work out too well for the last czar if my memory serves me right.

(JUNE 3, 2009)

From the czar, nothing — as if he were saying, "Quiet, silly subject! I'm the czar."

But again, he's not saying anything, is he? He doesn't have to. He's a czar and we're not.

If only Czar Nicholas had this gig, right? Nothing – I guarantee you, nothing — would have ever happened to him.

MSNBC (NBC News), CNN Ratings Plunge as O'Reilly (and Fox in General) Reigns

MSNBC and CNN’s primetime news programs have suffered an incredible nosedive in ratings since Barack Obama was elected president, Newsmax has learned.

Ratings for “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” on MSNBC at 8 p.m. have plunged a dizzying 42 percent since October, shortly before the election. CNN’s 8 p.m. show, now being hosted by Roland Martin, has seen a 49 percent plunge over that time period, while “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News has dipped only 15 percent, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Bill O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. show remains the top-rated cable news program, averaging 2,650,000 million households per night in April, more than the combined totals for Olbermann’s program (938,000) and CNN’s 8 p.m. offering (613,000) — with more than a million households to spare.

In the key demographic of viewers 25 to 54 years old, Olbermann has lost 53 percent of his average nightly audience, a precipitous plunge. Rachel Maddow, who follows him at 9 p.m. on MSNBC, has lost an astounding 65 percent of her 25-to-54 audience since October, and her 819,000 households in April compare poorly to Sean Hannity’s 1,953,000 households on Fox.

O’Reilly has also trounced Olbermann among viewers aged 35 to 64 in April, with 1,724,000 viewers, down 19 percent since October. Olbermann suffered a 49 percent drop in that demographic and had 1,151,000 viewers.

The solid showing of “The O’Reilly Factor” and the plunging numbers for Keith Olbermann further belie Olbermann and MSNBC’s occasional claim that he is winning the ratings war in his time slot.

MSNBC took out a full-page ad in The New York Times last November proclaiming “A Sweeping Victory” for its ratings and declaring “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” the No. 1 cable news program.

But fine print at the bottom of the ad acknowledged that the “victory” referred only to the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot for the dates Oct. 27 through Oct. 31, for viewers between 25 and 54 years of age.

Overall, however, O’Reilly’s show averaged twice as many viewers as Olbermann’s.

Earlier last year, the liberal press crowed loudly when Olbermann narrowly beat out O’Reilly in the 25 to 54 demographic one week in June. But the rating results were misleading. On Tuesday of that week, the cable stations covered that day’s primaries, and on Friday, O’Reilly was on vacation, with Laura Ingraham filling in. Ratings for “The Factor” dip when O’Reilly is not the host.

On the three days when O’Reilly and Olbermann went head to head, O’Reilly won the 25 to 54 demographic. And he trounced Olbermann in total viewers, with 2,193,000 per night to Olbermann’s 1,031,000.

The O’Reilly-Olbermann feud has been ongoing for years. O’Reilly denies that there is a feud, and says he won’t even mention Olbermann by name. But Olbermann for his part has made O’Reilly the frequent recipient of his nightly “Worst Person in the World” award.

In a recent interview with Broadcasting & Cable magazine, O’Reilly said “The O’Reilly Factor” has fared well since Obama entered the White House because CNN and MSNBC comprise the “Obama cheerleading crew,” and viewers are tuning in to Fox because it is “more skeptical of the president.”

And Newsmax reported earlier that Obama’s win on Election Day “may be a Pyrrhic victory” for Olbermann, who “had positioned himself as the anti-Bush, anti-Republican news source on MSNBC. With Democrats firmly in control of the White House and Congress, it’s questionable that his audience will grow.”

Note: We don’t get the 5pm hour results, so we are unable to post them.

Since this report the numbers have increased for Fox again and appear to be increasing daily. The Glenn Beck Show is now pulling in numbers between those logged by O’Reilly and HannityGlenn Beck was new to Fox at the time of this report.

Why is Fox News increasing their numbers as others are plunging?  Because they are reporting the news fairly.  They: Bill O’Reilly, Greta Van Sesteran, Shep Smith, Bret Baier, Neil Cavuto are reporting what is actually going on, not slanting or spinning the news and not cherry picking what they want to report on.  And those that are more right leaning like Sean Hannity and  Glenn Beck, give a balance to the constant left reporting media.  The difference is that Hannity and Beck let you know that what they are reporting and highlighting is from their conservative perspective… unlike the mainstream media who leans left but portrays themselves as just reporting the (unbiased) news.  And all the Fox News shows feature regular and special guests with expertise as well as differing viewpoints from people like Bret Hume, Alan Combs,  Dave Ramsey, Dick Morris, Karl Rove, Dennis Miller, Juan Williams, Charles, Krauthammer and the list goes on.    And on the weekend Fox offers a variety of different personalities including Mike Huckabee, the Beltway Boys, Geraldo Rivera, etc.   Fox's early morning Fox and Friends and late night Red Eye shows round out their coverage

It does make you wonder how accurate the polls really are when the most liberal left wing president the U.S. has ever had keeps showing top ratings while at the same time Fox News… featuring traditional  accurate middle of the road to right conservative reporting dominates the news viewing market and is increasing weekly if not daily in viewership~
