Rally For Texas Independence in Austin!
Texans will gather at the NORTH steps of the Capitol in Austin on Tuesday, January 8th (the opening day of the 2013 Legislative session) at Noon to show their support for the freedom and independence of Texas and to show that all political power is STILL inherent in the people.
Texas Constitution, Article 1 Section 1: "Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States."

We are calling on every Texan who supports the freedom and independence of Texas to rally up on the north side. Bring signs, Texas flags and flags from the Texas Revolution to show that we want our freedom and independence and we want the Legislature to answer the call of the people.
WE MUST BRING OVERWHELMING NUMBERS!
The TNM has attempted for months to obtain sponsorship for an OFFICIAL rally on the South Steps of the Capitol. However, due to the reluctance and hesitation of the "conservative" members of the Texas Legislature, the TNM and other groups that support Constitutional principles have been blocked out.
Instead, their foot dragging has allowed progressive groups to lock down the official rally space for January 8th. Rather than having Texans in support of Texas independence on the SOUTH steps, visitors to the Capitol will be treated to rallies held by groups that revere Van Jones and support illegal immigration.
We will not be deterred. We will be on the North side of the Capitol, exercising our right to peacefully assemble. We will be there as a visible sign that Texans are ready for freedom and independence and will stand against the destruction of our liberty.

The veteran martial arts champion, action movie and “Walker, Texas Ranger” star loves it so much it’s the only film he’s promoted, aside from the ones in which he appeared.
Actor Marshall Teague, who plays the lead in the movie, told WND that when he gave his longtime friend Norris a rough cut of the movie to review, he was hoping for some advice.
What he got from Norris was even more than an unqualified endorsement, as the legendary tough guy asked for permission to promote the film.

How much did it impact Norris?
“When we finished the film, I must say Carlos was misty,” Teague told WND.
Wait, that can’t be. Chuck Norris Fact No. 16 says, “Chuck Norris never uses a stunt double, except during crying scenes.”
Or maybe what Teague was seeing was just the result of Fact No. 93, “Chuck Norris uses Tabasco sauce for eye drops.”
The movie, Teague tells WND, is about faith, family and freedoms.
“I’m talking about the freedoms we as a nation enjoy every day, speech, religion, the freedom to gather,” Teague said.
The story revolves around the mayor of a small town, where Bob Revere, played by Teague (“Roadhouse,” “The Rock” and “Armageddon”) is challenged by the apathy that is eroding America’s basic freedoms.
It’s bound to be a success.
“This is the only movie in my life that I’ve ever promoted that I’m not in,” Norris said in an interview about the project. “I just want to encourage … everyone to go see this movie. You will not be disappointed.”

Teague told WND that the U.S. is the greatest country on earth, but people have stopped noticing.
“Wake up people,” he said. “Take a moment of your day and realize what you have, what has been given to you by people, our forefathers. They saw in the future how great this country could be.”
In a commentary for WND, Norris wrote: “I will also let you in on a little secret about the movie: The mega-inspiring speech given by Marshall Teague’s character near the end of the movie from atop a downtown building was unscripted and flowed from his patriot passion in a way that rivals the best patriotic or faith orator.”
He continued: “There is no more perfect time than right now for the release of ‘Last Ounce of Courage,’ being roughly two months away from electing a new president. It can help us take back America. In particular, it can help motivate the 30 million evangelical Christians who stayed home during the 2008 election when Obama won the presidency by 10 million votes.
“This general election could be our last chance to save our republic as our founders created and knew it, and it’s going to take all of our last ounces of courage to do it.”

Teague told WND there have been changes in the U.S., people converse via computer rather then speaking face-to-face, events are moving faster, and there are so many more deadlines and pressures.
But, he said, Americans “need to stop … and really take time and go meet your neighbor, and say hello.”
The mutual relationship that can result, he said, is called “respect.”
It’s needed now more than ever, because, as Ronald Reagan said, freedom is never more than one generation away from being lost, Teague said.
“Our country was formed by a people who saw the future,” he said. “It is our responsibility to keep this nation great and stand by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.”
He continued: “When one voice connects to another, and another, and another … what you end up with is a choir of voices that can be heard across the nation.”
Teague said the project also honors the nation’s military, whose sacrifices have continued to protect freedom, as well as the youth, through the character who challenges Teague in the movie.
It’s a Veritas Communications project by the film company dedicated to making films with a purpose.
In a statement released announcing the decision to award “The Chuck Norris Seal of Approval” to the movie, Norris said, “I neither star in, nor do I have an above-the-line credit on, or other affiliation with, ’Last Ounce of Courage. ‘
“Yet allowing the use of my ‘Official Seal of Approval’ is the least I can do to support a project so consistent with my core values and life principles. In addition to the film’s basic reminder that our precious freedoms are not always free, Marshall Teague gives the performance of his career as a small-town mayor who is inspired by his grandson to take a stand when a public religious display honoring his fallen son in Iraq is targeted for removal. No one should miss the message of this motion picture or his moving performance.”

Who The Hell Do These People Think They Are?
Imagine you wake up tomorrow and this is not a Constitutional Republic anymore. It is now a dictatorship. Whoops! Already accomplished. Then imagine that you wake up tomorrow and the President and our elites have given away part of the US. Then imagine it was your state and your state and Senators weren’t even consulted on it. In fact the deal was conducted in secret. Well, the nightmare is alive and well and being finalized for Alaska. But, before you go cursing ONLY Obama (as I do every damn chance I get), you better have a really hard look at Progressives on both sides of the aisle. This monstrous act of treason started under Bush Senior in 1990 and was ratified by our Senate in 1991. The only thing holding it back was that Russia had not signed the treaty. Obama is now looking to finish the diabolical deal.

On June 1, 1990, Secretary of State James Baker signed a secret executive agreement with Eduard Shevardnadze, the former U.S.S.R. foreign minister. It specified that even though the treaty had not been ratified, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. agreed to abide by the terms of the treaty beginning June 15, 1990. The Senate ratified the U.S.-U.S.S.R. Maritime Boundary Treaty in 1991, which was then signed by President George Bush.
I can hear you saying that this is only about some tiny little islands and that they are closer to Russia than the US – why should we care? These islands are not tiny. And the true issue here is that they have a wealth of oil and resources on and around them. That’s the big deal. Plus, they’re ours – not Russia’s.
Why now, when this treaty has languished for 22 years? Well… Why not? It accomplishes a number of things for Obama. It takes a slap at the conservative state of Alaska and attempts to put her high-profile residents such as Sarah Palin and Joe Miller in their collective places. It caves to one of our biggest enemies, Russia, and weakens the US even more in their eyes. It gives precious energy resources away for nothing, thereby ensuring that energy prices will skyrocket even more in the US when that energy is needed. And who knows what other nefarious goals the deed accomplishes. Progressives are always figuring an angle and it never benefits US citizens – just the elite and powerful.

Part of Obama’s apparent war against U.S. energy independence includes a foreign-aid program that directly threatens my state’s sovereign territory. Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin.
The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, our federal government itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it could be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Clinton.
The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. This is despite the fact the Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition – but the State Department doesn’t seem to care.
In May of 1881, US explorers spotted the Jeannette and Henrietta Islands and claimed them for the United States. According to numerous sources, including the group State Department Watch, seven Arctic islands currently controlled by Russia are claimed by the United States. However, according to the United States Department of State, no such claim exists. The USSR/USA Maritime Boundary Treaty, which has yet to be approved by the Russian Duma, does not address the status of these islands nor the maritime boundaries associated with them. And of course, the Russians are claiming them for their own. The fight over Alaskan land has been going on since the 1800s and the Russians are claiming and taking any land anywhere they can find it that has oil or gas.
The Obama Administration is reportedly giving away Wrangell, Bennett, Jeannette and Henrietta islands in Alaska to Russia. They are getting ready to finalize the deal. The federal government drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side with no input from Alaska, her leaders or her residents. How is that Constitutional? And don’t cite the Treaty Clause to me. This oversteps the bounds of that section by a wide margin. Thus the need for secrecy and no transparency on the deal. The founding fathers never envisioned a sitting President and the State Department just giving away American sovereign land.
And as far as a milquetoast, spineless Senate is concerned – every one of them that ratified this in 1991 that is still in office should be shown the door that leads to a rail out of town with a spiffy new coat of tar and feathers. This treaty makes an excellent argument for abolishing the 17th Amendment and returning to the true Constitutional principle in which senators were elected by state legislatures, not by popular vote. This is what you get when you bastardize and supersede Article I, § 3, Clauses 1 and 2 of the Constitution.
Who the hell do these people think they are? I’ll tell you… They truly believe they are the elite and that they are above your station – you are the riffraff, the serfs that only exist to serve them. They are royalty and their moniker is Progressive. They are the ruling class and the truly, obscenely wealthy and powerful. For too long we have let them rule as they see fit rather than by the will of the people. Obama is just the culmination of decades of inattention to the evil infiltrating our government’s halls. Time to send them all packing.

Montanans Launch Recall of Senators Who Approved NDAA Military Detention – Updated
Well it is about damned time……. When our representatives that took an oath to OBEY and protect the Constitution repeatedly break that oath by voting FOR laws or bills that anyone that understands the simple language in our Constitution, it is our Duty to remove them from office by any ethical and moral means available.

The Senate passed NDAA giving this president — and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world. Even Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) raised his concerns about the NDAA detention provisions during last night’s Republican debate. The power is so broad that even U.S. citizens could be swept up by the military and the military could be used far from any battlefield, even within the United States itself.
The worldwide indefinite detention without charge or trial provision is in S. 1867, the National Defense Authorization Act bill, which will be on the Senate floor on Monday. The bill was drafted in secret by Sens. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) and passed in a closed-door committee meeting, without even a single hearing
The Issue of Federal Official Recall Has Never Reached the Federal Courts
“Montana is one of nine states with provisions that say that the right of recall extends to recalling members of its federal congressional delegation, pursuant to Montana Code 2-16-603, on the grounds of physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of certain felony offenses.” (SOURCE)
The operative language “violation of oath of office” applies here. We have nine states that can start a snowball of recalls to at least remove and ostracize or better convict these traitors to “we the people” and the nation.
The fact is, “we the people” can go further in the other 49 states by influencing our state U.S. Supreme Courts Grand Juries to subpoena these traitors, in their home states, to determine whether laws have been broken. We just need a few constitutional lawyers to get the ball rolling. No need for petitions or other legal mumbo jumbo. Once a grand jury has determined that laws have been broken, the trials can commence.

This is from a statement from Stewart Rhodes of Oathkeepers regarding Republican Denny Rehberg as a target of recall, who also voted for NDAA.
Here in Montana, while we will go after all three violators of the Bill of Rights, I will place special emphasis and "focus of effort" on Denny Rehberg, since he is so fond of wrapping himself in the flag and claiming to be defending the Constitution while his votes do the exact opposite. In that sense, Rehberg is much like John McCain and Lindsey Graham, two Republicans who, right along with Carl Levin and Joseph Lieberman, are leading a sustained and relentless assault on our Bill of Rights.

Moving quickly on Christmas Day after the US Senate voted 86 - 14 to pass the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA) which allows for the indefinite military detention of American citizens without charge or trial, Montanans have announced the launch of recall campaigns against Senators Max Baucus and Jonathan Tester, who voted for the bill.
Montana is one of nine states with provisions that say that the right of recall extends to recalling members of its federal congressional delegation, pursuant to Montana Code 2-16-603, on the grounds of physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of certain felony offenses.
Section 2 of Montana Code 2-16-603 reads:
"(2) A public officer holding an elective office may be recalled by the qualified electors entitled to vote for the elective officer's successor."
The website Ballotpedia.org cites eight other states which allow for the recall of elected federal officials: Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, and Wisconsin. New Jersey's federal recall law was struck down when a NJ state judge ruled that "the federal Constitution does not allow states the power to recall U.S. senators," despite the fact the Constitution explicitly allows, by not disallowing ("prohibited" in the Tenth Amendment,) the states the power to recall US senators and congressmen:
"The powers not...prohibited...are reserved to the States...or to the people." - Tenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
The issue of federal official recall has never reached the federal courts.
Montana law requires grounds for recall to be stated which show conformity to the allowed grounds for recall. The draft language of the Montana petitions, "reason for recall" reads:
"The Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees all U.S citizens:"a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed..."
The National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA 2011) permanently abolishes the Sixth Amendment right to a jury trial, "for the duration of hostilities" in the War on Terror, which was defined by President George W. Bush as "task which does not end" to a joint session of Congress on September 20, 2001.
Those who voted Aye on December 15th, 2011, Bill of Rights Day, for NDAA 2011 have attempted to grant powers which cannot be granted, which violate both the spirit and the letter of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
The Montana Recall Act stipulates that officials including US senators can only be recalled for physical or mental lack of fitness, incompetence, violation of the oath of office, official misconduct, or conviction of a felony offense. We the undersigned call for a recall election to be held for Senator Max S. Baucus [and Senator Jonathan Tester] and charge that he has violated his oath of office, to protect and defend the United States Constitution."
Montana residents William Crain and Stewart Rhodes are spearheading the drive. Mr. Crain is an artist. Mr. Rhodes is an attorney, Yale Law School graduate, and the national president of the organization Oath Keepers, who are military and law enforcement officers, both former and active duty, who vow to uphold their Oath to the US Constitution and to disobey illegal orders which constitute attacks on their fellow citizens. Rhodes said:
"These politicians from both parties betrayed our trust, and violated the oath they took to defend the Constitution. It's not about the left or right, it's about our Bill of Rights. Without the Bill of Rights, there is no America. It is the Crown Jewel of our Constitution, and the high-water mark of Western Civilization."
Rhodes noted that:
"Two time Medal of Honor winner Marine General Smedley Butler once said "There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights." Time to fight. "
Butler famously ended his career as a Marine General by touring the country with his speech and book denouncing war, "War is a Racket."Butler confessed that he had spent most of his life as a "high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers...a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism..."
Eighteen states at present have recall laws, most of which do not apply to federal officials. For these and other states to recall federal officials, state legislatures would have to first pass or amend such laws.
Rising on the House floor to oppose the bill based on the military detention provisions for Americans, Rep. Tom McClintock said before the House vote:
" today, we who have sworn fealty to that Constitution sit to consider a bill that affirms a power contained in no law and that has the full potential to crack the very foundation of American liberty."
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders said in opposing the final NDAA:
”This bill also contains misguided provisions that in the name of fighting terrorism essentially authorize the indefinite imprisonment of American citizens without charges.”
And in a New York Times op-ed piece by two retired four-star U.S. Marine generals, Charles Krulak and Joseph Hoar, Krulak and Hoar said that "Due process would be a thing of the past."
Montana would be the first recall drive to be launched as a result of the vote for the NDAA military detentions provisions. A number of Facebook pages appeared after the passage of the bill from locations across the country.

The United Nations’ (UN) Colonization of America Fueled by Obama

Can you feel things intensifying? Does it feel like there’s more going on than meets the eye? The things you’ll read about in this article are out in the open – available for all to see – and their disturbing and destructive nature are consistent with the transformation we’re experiencing. Let’s first start off by calling it what it is.
Jürgen Osterhammel defined it best in Colonialism: A Theoretical Overview:
“Colonialism is a relationship between an indigenous (or forcibly imported) majority and a minority of foreign invaders. The fundamental decisions affecting the lives of the colonized people are made and implemented by the colonial rulers in pursuit of interests that are often defined in a distant metropolis. Rejecting cultural compromises with the colonized population, the colonizers are convinced of their own superiority and their ordained mandate to rule.”
Research into many of the actions, goals and objectives of the United Nations (UN) and President Obama lead to one very clear conclusion…
The UN is colonizing America and Obama is aiding and accelerating that colonization.
The “distant metropolis” in Osterhammel’s description is the UN and this article exposes the correlation between the UN agenda and what is happening to America.
Why is it important to understand who and what is behind the transformation we’re experiencing? To ascertain what they have in store for us. As you will see, the goals of the “colonial rulers” (i.e. global elites) are destructive to our way of life and if they are successful, freedom as we’ve known it will be extinguished. That is their goal and it’s our job to know the enemy, raise awareness and fight back until we’re victorious.
Focusing our time and energy on politicians in D.C. is important, but knowing what’s driving them and where they’re taking us is crucial. Who is driving them? If you think it’s “We The People,” guess again. For example, we didn’t want Obamacare, yet they pushed it through. We didn’t want Obama to plunge us deeper into debt, yet he’s overspent by $5.15 Trillion in just 3 short years. To put that in perspective, it took 218 years for all prior Presidents to accumulate $5 Trillion in debt, but Obama did it in 3 years. We don’t want our children and elderly to have their private parts touched, yet our government is expanding their TSA forces with VIPR units that will operate in many venues. Consider even the smallest things we once took for granted… As kids, we used to be able to sell lemonade; kids today are being told they cannot. And the list goes on and on.
So who is driving our politicians in D.C.? The “colonial rulers” in the UN – and Obama is one of them, as were Presidents before him. What’s different now is that Obama is thrusting the globalist agenda right out in front for all to see. Previous Presidents masked their implementation of portions of the UN agenda, but not Obama.
For example, which U.S. President openly refers to us as “global citizens?” Who places international law above America’s laws? Who talks about global governance? Who openly nationalizes entire U.S. industries? Which U.S. President presided over the UN when it’s illegal to do so? Who reports a State in the U.S. (Arizona) to the UN for “human rights violations?” Who starts a war in Libya per UN direction, without any threat to American interests whatsoever, and violates U.S. law by claiming Congressional approval is not required? This list goes on and on too.
Take a look at the UN Conferences and Observances from February of 2008 at this link and notice the parallels between this and what Obama has done in the past 2½ years. Don’t let the innocent wording fool you… Try to imagine Iran or North Korea willingly addressing, funding and implementing these things in their country. America is clearly their target, the most free and prosperous nation the world has ever known. Colonize and rule over America and the rest will fall like dominoes.
Listed below are a few UN items correlated with some of what’s been happening to America in the last 2½ years.
UN Treaty on the “Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons” (UN resolution 62/37)
· Obama signs the New Start Treaty placing control of critical components of America’s national defense in the hands of Russia.
· Russia, China and Venezuela support Iran in their efforts to develop nuclear capabilities.
· Obama releases Britain’s classified defense information.
UN “Disarmament” Week (UN resolution 50/72)
· Obama and Hillary Clinton support the UN Small Arms Treaty which jeopardizes our 2nd Amendment rights.
· Obama, Clinton and Holder devised a program (Fast & Furious) to arm Mexican drug cartels and criminals with guns from the U.S. When people on both sides of the border were killed by the cartels/criminals and the program was exposed, Obama’s minions were at the ready to decry lax gun laws in America.
UN Education for “Sustainable Development” (UN resolution 57/254) (2005-2014) and International Year of Planet Earth (UN resolution 60/192)
· Visioning Workshops are taking place in communities throughout the U.S. to solidify the UN Sustainable Development plan (Agenda 21 – their term, not ours) now that ICLEI/Sustainable Development is embedded into every local community.
· Obama enacts EO 13575 and begins buying up flooded farmland (see “Natural Fibres” below).
· At the Rio Earth Summit, Maurice Strong (UN) said, “Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing – are not sustainable.”

· According to the UN Global Biodiversity Assessment, “A reasonable estimate for an industrialized world society at the present North American material standard of living would be 1 billion. At the more frugal European standard of living, 2 to 3 billion would be possible.” (An estimated 6.93 billion “world society” are alive today).
· When Obama was asked, “Do you support maintaining the strong protections of the Endangered Species Act, and do you think the Act is fundamentally sound?” his answer was “Yes”.
UN “Solidarity with the Palestinian People” (UN resolution 62/81)
· Obama threw Israel under the bus when he called for a return to the pre-1967 borders – which would leave Israel unable to protect their people from the barbarians who surround them and want to kill all the Jews.

· Under the façade of literacy, educational curriculum is focusing on the indoctrination of all children on climate change, worship of mother earth, being a global citizen and social justice. For example, Obama’s Federal Department of Education, consistent with Al Gore’s preaching, is moving forward to teach all children about climate change, instruct them to teach their parents about it, call out and ridicule “deniers” and loathe capitalism and humans as the oppressors of “mother earth.” No mention will be made of Al Gore’s private jets, SUV’s and energy-sucking mansion in classrooms throughout America.
· “Social Justice” diversity manuals have made their way into at least 13 school districts across America and 3 school districts in Canada. The manual “asserts the government and other institutions create advantages that “channel wealth and power to white people” and calls on educators to “take action for social justice.” The Omaha World-Herald states, “Only those educators who acknowledge the existence of white privilege in America, that ‘white’ is a culture in America and that race ‘is a definer for social and economic status’ can reach proficiency.” Those who don’t are asked what they will do “to align yourself with the values expressed… The book says teachers must overcome irrational fear of homosexuality and reject the “color-blind” approach to teaching in which teachers treat all children the same. Instead, the group identity of students of color should be recognized and esteemed, the authors say.”
Behind closed doors the UN is now planning to implement a global tax to suck more out of the pockets of Americans and into the hands of the colonial rulers.
Although Obama and his base of radical far-left comrades accuse America of colonialism and imperialism, the agenda that Obama is implementing is the UN agenda designed to overtake and rule America. Global governance, by its very nature and intent, is the establishment, maintenance, acquisition and expansion of UN control over territories (i.e. countries) – and that’s “COLONIZATION.”
The cast of characters who set the agenda that Obama is imposing in the U.S. are the same “colonial rulers” who craft the UN’s agenda. George Soros, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Henry Kissinger, Bill and Hillary Clinton and other Progressive global elites – including Barack Hussein Obama. They are the force behind the transformation, globalization and colonization of America.
Even Vladimir Lenin knew that it was the “colonial rulers” who were in control when he said, “The state does not function as we desired. The car does not obey. A man is at the wheel and seems to lead it, but the car does not drive in the desired direction. It moves as another force wishes.”
For the first time in American history, we have a President who is openly moving our country at an accelerated rate in the direction that another force wishes. That force is the UN, led by the “colonial rulers” who are convinced of their own superiority and their ordained mandate to rule.
As W. Cleon Skousen wrote in The Naked Capitalist, “Power from any source tends to create an appetite for additional power… It was almost inevitable that the super-rich would one day aspire to control not only their own wealth, but the wealth of the whole world. To achieve this, they were perfectly willing to feed the ambitions of the power-hungry political conspirators who were committed to the overthrow of all existing governments and the establishments of a central world-wide dictatorship.”
Obama has opened wide the door to UN control of America under what these UN colonial rulers call the “New World Order.”

“As documented in a recent series of reports, the sustainability doctrine is infesting all of higher education. “It emphasizes maximal conservation of resources and government regulation to the near exclusion of other approaches.”[9] Every single student must be knowledgeable and engaged in sustainability.
The analysis there of the movement emphasized its economic and political imperatives. At one level this is largely accurate. The sustainability movement is heir to the disappointments of European socialists and ex-communists. It sprang into existence in 1987 with the report of the UN Commission on Environment and Development, chaired by Norwegian prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland. The connection to land-use planning, the commitment to extra-territorial regulation, and the readiness to by-pass democratic procedure are in the DNA of the sustainability movement. A great deal of its mischief, as in the persistently misleading pronouncements from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, stems from the grounding of the sustainability movement in attitudes far removed from American political and cultural traditions.
But the traction that the movement has gained in the United States doesn’t have much to do with spontaneous admiration for UNESCO bureaucrats or international elites who jet around the world promoting massive transfers of wealth to impoverished nations. Those ideas eventually find welcome in the minds of students who have worked their way deep inside the concept that they are now ‘citizens of the world.’ The movement’s mass appeal lies elsewhere.
Sustainability is first of all an emotional summons—one that combines elemental fears with hopes of salvation. It draws heavily on Judeo-Christian imagery and a secularized, but not very deeply disguised, Christian narrative of a good creation corrupted by human sin and headed for disaster, which might be staved off through sufficient acts of penitence—like giving up the internal combustion engine, not to mention bottled water and cafeteria trays.
The religious narrative is interwoven with other strands of Western mythology. It isn’t hard to find Rousseau’s imaginary picture of man uncorrected by civilization filtering into the dreams of sustainatopians. The movement expresses a longing for lost innocence, for the “re-enchantment” of nature as one of its proponents puts it, and for an easily captured high ground on which alienation from mass consumerism can be played out as though it had positive content. Somehow we can feel better about ourselves if we believe the world is going to wrack and ruin because of the heedlessness and greed of others.
And it thrives because it is a substitute religion that demands a manageable degree of expiation, self-sacrifice, and guilt.[10]
Not that any of this is anything new. The ancient agenda has always been, and will always be, the vie for total global domination. The only thing that changes is the excuse used to put fear into the population, in that they would go along.”

When United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced his plan “to fundamentally transform the global economy — based on low-carbon, clean energy resources,” few realized he was calling for a new global tax to be designed without public scrutiny, but that is exactly what he meant. In a way the least interesting part of this clip may be the part in the headline. Frances Fox Piven, of Cloward-Piven infamy (see James Simpson’s analysis here), is talking about the Deacons of Defense and their role in the Civil Rights movement. She seems to be saying that the group was a proponent of violence rather than active defenders:

Had I not researched the Deacons a bit more and you read the rest of this article and watched Piven spew her hatred for America you would not have known these Deacons were armed militia that did not incite violence but defended against it.
The article referred to there is this one:
During a desegregation effort at the Jonesboro High School, the authorities brought up fire trucks and prepared to hose the black students attempting to enter the school. The Deacons pulled up and four men publicly loaded shotguns and then made it plain that the lead was for the firemen if they turned the hoses on. The firemen wisely beat a retreat.
This was a very significant event. This was a self-defense effort in the spirit of the American War for Independence. The government was attempting to exercise illegitimate power (enforcing an unbiblical law which by this time also violated federal law) and it was repulsed by the use of community force — by the militia, if you will.
The Deacons were in the great tradition of American freedom — liberty is not given by tyrants and thugs, it is wrested from their hands by force.

Yet, over the last three years alone, the Department has spent roughly a third of a trillion dollars with copious amounts of 'Stimulus' spending sent directly to the bosses of the teachers' unions.
I think even progressives would agree that the Department of Education has been an abysmal failure. Hundreds of billions of dollars were spent in just the last few years alone with literally no measurable effect.
But the progressives claim they need more money.
I disagree. I recommend we excise the entire Department of Education and save tens of billions of dollars a year. Whatever they're doing isn't working and has never worked. And the United States survived just fine for over 200 years without an Education Department.
You may also be surprised that the Department of Education, in its official capacity, is a huge devotee of Saul Alinsky.
Who is Alinsky?
He was best known as a community organizer and Marxist revolutionary who preached the violent overthrow of the United States government. He was, in many ways, the founding father of the current strain of radical Leftist Democrats. He advocated physical violence against those who opposed the left ("[we should break] the necks of Conservatives... [we] may resort to the sword"), he despised the U.S. Constitution and he sought to dismantle capitalism because of its inherent "unfairness".
And yet your taxpayer dollars are funding the promotion of Alinsky's literature. ERIC is the DOE's "Education Resources Information Center". And ERIC proudly boasts works by Alinsky and other Marxists including:

Political End Runs

The Constitution of the United States begins with the words "We the people." But neither the Constitution nor "we the people" will mean anything if politicians and judges can continue to do end runs around both.
Bills passed too fast for anyone to read them are blatant examples of these end runs. But last week, another of these end runs appeared in a different institution when the medical "end of life consultations" rejected by Congress were quietly enacted through bureaucratic fiat by administrators of Medicare.
Although Congressman Earl Blumenauer and Senator Jay Rockefeller had led an effort by a group of fellow Democrats in Congress to pass Section 1233 of pending Medicare legislation, which would have paid doctors to include "end of life" counseling in their patients' physical checkups, the Congress as a whole voted to delete that provision.
Republican Congressman John Boehner, soon to become Speaker of the House, objected to this provision in 2009, saying: "This provision may start us down a treacherous path toward government-encouraged euthanasia."
Whatever the merits or demerits of the proposed provision in Medicare legislation, the Constitution of the United States makes the elected representatives of "we the people" the ones authorized to make such decisions. But when proposals explicitly rejected by a vote in Congress are resurrected and stealthily made the law of the land by bureaucratic fiat, there has been an end run around both the people and the Constitution.
Congressman Blumenauer's office praised the Medicare bureaucracy's action but warned: "While we are very happy with the result, we won't be shouting it from the rooftops because we are not out of the woods yet."
In other words, don't let the masses know about it.
It is not only members of Congress or the administration who treat "we the people" and the Constitution as nuisances to do an end run around. Judges, including Justices of the Supreme Court, have been doing this increasingly over the past hundred years.
During the Progressive era of the early 20th century, the denigration of the Constitution began, led by such luminaries as Princeton scholar and future President of the United States Woodrow Wilson, future Harvard Law School Dean Roscoe Pound and future Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis.
As a Professor at Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson wrote condescendingly of "the simple days of 1787" when the Constitution was written and how, in our presumably more complex times, "each generation of statesmen looks to the Supreme Court to supply the interpretation which will serve the needs of the day."
This kind of argument would be repeated for generations, with no more evidence that 1787 was any less complicated than later years than Woodrow Wilson presented-- which was none-- and with no more reasons why the need for "change" meant that unelected judges should be the ones making those changes, as if there were no elected representatives of the people.
Professor Roscoe Pound likewise referred to the need for "a living constitution by judicial interpretation," in order to "respond to the vital needs of present-day life." He rejected the idea of law as "a body of rules."
But if law is not a body of rules, what is it? A set of arbitrary fiats by judges, imposing their own vision of "the needs of the times"? Or a set of arbitrary regulations stealthily emerging from within the bowels of a bureaucracy?
Louis Brandeis was another leader of this Progressive era chorus of demands for moving beyond law as rules. He cited "newly arisen social needs" and "a shifting of our longing from legal justice to social justice."
In other words, judges were encouraged to do an end run around rules, such as those set forth in the Constitution, and around the elected representatives of "we the people." As Roscoe Pound put it, law should be "in the hands of a progressive and enlightened caste whose conceptions are in advance of the public."
That is still the vision of the left a hundred years later. The Constitution cannot protect us unless we protect the Constitution, by voting out those who promote end runs around it.

Restoring our History Series - The US Constitution (Part 2)

The Enemy to our State is the Progressive Movement!!
The Founding Fathers gave us a perfect map to follow in 4-pages… the American Constitution, 4-pages is all it took our Founding Fathers to create the structure for the freest nation in history. They rewrote the Federalist Papers into a 4-page document that inspired the world.
They decided on a Republic as the vehicle. A democracy was further down the list than a monarchy, which they hated and had just freed themselves from, yet for years the Progressive have pushed the notion of a democracy verses a Republic.
And the Founding Fathers searched for the perfect leader for the first President of the United States, George Washington. (Our president under the Articles of Confederation was Charles Hansen.)
Beck has two of the Constitution’s greatest defenders as guests: David Barton and Judge Andrew Napolitano.
The Founding Fathers believed in limited government and laid out 5 purposes of government:
1. Acknowledge and adore God
2. Exercise frugality
3. Restrain the infliction of injury
4. Encourage entrepreneurship and free enterprise
5. Protect property and the Earnings of Citizens.
Those 5 plus defending the United States is the really the total job of the federal government.
The 17th Amendment changed the way the Senate was chosen. The Progressives wanted to take the States out of the picture.
The 20th Century has been a disaster for the Constitution because of the Progressive Presidents: Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR.
Wilson changed the relationship between individuals and the Federal government.
FDR ushered in an era of central economic planning… much like his counterpart Josef Stalin, which defies the Constitution and we are suffering today from the seeds these Progressives planted. But let us remember that not all Progressives were/are Democrats… Teddy Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover were Progressives. But over the years, even though there are Republican Progressives as well, the Progressive Movement has taken over the Democrat Party.
Presidents who were defenders of the Constitution were Grover Cleveland, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.
Was the Constitution a slavery document… absolutely not. Frederick Douglass was adamant that it was because at its inception it counted slaves as 3/5 of a person and it angered him. But after reading the Constitution and reading the notes by the Founding Father’s on their thinking about this subject, he realized that it was exactly the opposite. It was written to encourage the Southerners to abolish slavery to get representation. Great book on Frederick Douglass and his relationship with Abraham Lincoln is Giants.
James Madison is often considered the father of the Constitution, but that actually isn’t true. It s writing was truly a collective group proposition. The Founding Fathers set up the bi-cameral Congress and the electoral college which is often misunderstood because of misinformation. Progressives would like to get rid of the electoral college because it would limit the number of states that they would have to control to elect a president. And very few states would ever get candidates campaigning in their states if they were not on one of the coasts… the states with high populations.
And to understand the Constitution, you really need to go back to the Declaration of Independence first. You must understand the Declaration of Independence to get a handle on the Constitution… beginning with the first 85 words at the top.
When we look at President Obama’s comments where he leaves out the words, endowed by their Creator, it is crucial to the progressive philosophy. Woodrow Wilson said that the Constitution is worthless. Every word in the Constitution is there for a purpose! Endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights is crucial… because our rights come from a natural God not man. It has nothing to do with any particular religion. For if our rights come from man… then man can take them away. And this notion that the Congress can give us as well as take away rights has permeated our government. And many of the rights they are promoting come right out of Karl Marx’s writings.
One of the biggest dangers to our system is trans-nationalism developed by Harold Coe. Trans-nationalists believe that International law trumps nationalism and national laws. Globalism is part of the goal of the Progressive Movement. (Is Obama Quietly Erasing Borders?)
Another huge enemy of the Constitution is using case law instead of Constitutional law.
There is a code in the Constitution. It is “We The People”… This is our country and we must take it back!

LITTLE TIME REMAINS TO SAVE THE CONSTITUTION - THE REAL AGENDA
Obama hinted at his real agenda when campaigning. He did so on the occasions when speaking to crowds which were mostly the choir. While many of us heard those hints, which boiled down, were references to redistributing wealth, getting even with whitey, and restructuring America as a socialist state, too many erroneously thought it was only red meat for the supporters.
We ignored those hints, and now we are in peril. Insurance, Banking, and the auto industry are, de facto nationalized. Obama is firing CEO's of major corporations, dictating the collapse or bailout of financial institutions, setting the salary caps of executives, abrogating commercial contracts, and in general pulling the strings on three of our largest industries. Most dangerous to our liberty, Obama has surrounded himself with dozens of Czars, most known far left radicals, and even revolutionaries, black separatists, and one a nutty scientists who want animals to be able to sue their owners, well, you get the idea.
These Czars draw large salaries, most have no training related to their assignments, and answer only to Obama. Mark Lloyd, a black revolutionary, and ardent admirer of the manner in which Hugo Chavez took control of Venezuela's radio, and TV stations, has been placed in the FCC as Diversity Czar. His agenda is to force stations carrying program content critical of the government to also provide equal time to supporting programs, if necessary at their own expense if sponsors cannot be found. He also plans to tax stations an amount equal to 100% of their operating cost to fund NPR, and other wholly controlled outlets. He can pull any station's license on virtually any conceivable pretext. Scary, be afraid, be very afraid.
Then, Jay Rockefeller, the useful idiot Senator from WV, has introduced S. 773, a bill giving Obama the power to shut down any civilian network on the internet whenever he feels like it. It also gives Obama the power to demand of ISP's any data on accounts, usage, and history information they want, without a warrant. There are many other requirements for access to networks including banking, all warrantless. Obama is closing the primary avenues of communication. The only implication to be drawn from all these actions is that Obama intends do do something so thoroughly drastic, he fears that the ability of the people to know the truth of what is happening will obstruct his goal. Scary, be afraid, be very afraid.
Obama wants to locate every firearm of any sort in the country so that they will be easy for the goon squad to come and confiscate. Obama has the founder of the Black Panthers, America hater revolutionary, Bobby Rush, now a congressman from a Chicago ghetto, introducing H. R. 45, the most onerous, openly vexatious, screw the second amendment bill imaginable. Anyone owning a firearm of any sort is going to have a net of dozens of new regulations thrown over him as to make the ownership of the firearm a bulls eye on his freedom.
Among its endless requirements are the need to obtain a federal license for any firearm, every 5 years from Eric Holder, who may for any or no reason at all, deny same, said denial being without appeal. Such denial would leave the gun owner in violation of law, punishable by fine and/or 5 years in prison if he does not immediately hand over all guns. If a licensee moves and does not notify Eric Holder, off to jail again.
For an America hating, black separatist revolutionary, to introduce onerous firearms legislation to "improve the safety of the citizens" is the ultimate irony. Can it be possible that there is anyone who does not immediately grasp the obvious fact that it is Bobby Rush and the rest of the crowd working to overthrow the Constitution who need protection, not the law abiding citizens? The first thing the wannabe Hitler types do, is collect all the guns. A government that fears the people's ownership of guns is a totalitarian government that rules at gunpoint. Scary, be afraid, be very afraid.
Next on Obama's agenda is another 20% of the economy, the healthcare industry. Obama has promised the union bosses, the source of his greatest financial support, that he will institute a single payer healthcare system to get them out of their retirement fund dilemma, a dilemma caused by the bosses plundering the fund, much of which went to electing Obama. While the unions will get what they want, Obama will get control of another $3 trillion dollars annually from which to siphon for his political purposes. Once instituted, the catastrophe, particularly to seniors, of a single payer system will be impossible to undo.
Obama says his new plan will have teeth in it to prevent services to illegals. That is because he plans to ram through an amnesty so there will not be any illegals. He has always used 47 million as the number to be included. That number includes at least 14 million, and quite possibly as high as 22 million illegals. About 80% of illegals are of voting age, and are viewed as another voting block for Dear Leader, Obama.
In order to get more money to manipulate the system and perpetuate himself in power, the radicals bent on subverting this country have hatched another plot. It's called Cap & Trade. Every industry which emits CO2 into the atmosphere will have to buy a permit to do so. The permit will be for a finite quantity. Then the permitted industries will pay a fee based on the tons of CO2 they emit at a cost in dollars per ton, per month.
The sale of permits and ongoing fees from tons emitted, will net the government hundreds of billions annually. Friends of Obama, such as Goldman Sachs, Al Gore, and others, will be franchised to act as brokers for the trading of carbon emissions. If company A has reduced its emissions, it can sell the remaining credit to company B which has grown and needs to emit more. The brokerage fees will make these people immensely wealthy.
All this new money flowing into the government, and friends of the administration comes from you, dear reader, to the tune of more than $2,000 annually as an increase in your family's cost of living, Your electricity bill will likely double. All fuels will cost more. and as energy is a component of every product, absolutely everything down to toothpicks is going to cost you more as a result of Cap & Trade. And, it's not a tax, just a burden for all to carry. The 5% Obama promised to screw, mostly the "rich white people" Jeremiah Wright railed against in Obamas face for 20 years, are going to get financially disemboweled, and the money redistributed to the bottom of the 95%, thereby creating another large voting block for Dear Leader.
Cap & Trade is the outgrowth of the hysteria over the effect of CO2 on the planet. It is assailed as a noxious, poison gas which causes the greenhouse effect, and if it increases ever so little, croplands will turn to desert, the poles will melt, the oceans will rise 200 feet, and humanity will be largely wiped out. A complete fraud without a shred of empirical evidence to support it. Pure hysteria whipped up by the left to create another crises as a basis of stealing more power.
The Ice cores taken in the Antarctic tell us that the concentration of CO2 in 1850 was 290 parts per million. For those of you educated by the NEA, that means it it’s a wee, teensy bit. It's like 1 peanut in a bowl of 2,633 cashews. CO2 is the gas you exhale. Today, the concentration is 31% higher. It's 380 ppm, an increase of 90 ppm and what? No end of the world. How can that be? It be because the principal greenhouse gas which keeps the earth from turning into a snowball is WATER VAPOR.
Water vapor rising from the oceans provides 90% of all of the various heat retention effects which prevent the earth from freezing. As the ice cores also show, going back more than 100,000 years, the CO2 concentration has been both lower and very much higher. During those cycles, the earth's temperature change PRECEDED the CO2 concentration change. Clearly, CO2 concentration is NOT a precursor to temperature change. The reverse is the case.
So, obviously the CO2 crisis exists only in the minds of those who, lacking education in the sciences who have been duped. Cap & Trade is a scheme. A monumental fraud concocted to make a few well connected people very rich, and for Obama to get his hands on immense additional funds. Money is power, and Obama intrinsically cannot accumulate enough of it. However much he has, he will always seek more at any cost. A number of psychologists have determined he is a narcissist, and that's the most dangerous possible personality to hold power over a nation.
Obama shares this psychological characteristic with Stalin, Hitler, and many other despots. There is no reason to expect Obama to behave any differently than they did. As he accumulates power, Obama will become ever more oppressive. Liberties will disappear one after another, then people will start disappearing. That's the way it has always worked. Power corrupts, and the corruption increases with power.
The Congressional elections in 2010, (if by then Obama has not suspended the constitution, and cancelled the elections), will be our last possible chance of stopping him Constitutionally, that is by voting in an anti-Obama coalition of legislators. Failing that, we'll probably see the Constitution suspended prior to 2012, and Obama having declared himself president for life. That's how it's always done. The Communist playbook is open for all to see. This scenario has been repeated many times in many places. It rarely fails, because the frog is cooked before it realizes the water was heating.
If you are one of the people to whom such a result for America does not appeal, then, if your congressperson, and senators have been standing against Obama, do everything you can to support their re-election, If they are Obama's sycophants, cheering his every unconstitutional act, do not fail to do everything in your power to kick them out of office in 2010. Donate till it hurts, and walk door to door and explain our peril to as many as you possibly can. The survival of the republic depends on it. If Obama's Congressional majority can be denied him after 2010, he will be hobbled till 2012 when, (if by then Obama has not suspended the constitution, and cancelled the elections), we can be rid of him, and start repairing the damage.
It will be the political battle of all time. Remember, Obama raised over $700 Billion during his campaign, much of it from the Middle East. We can't let that happen again. The first act of the new Congress must be to create an agency tasked with validating that donations are not coming from outside the country. The second must be to require all candidates for office to provide documentary evidence of citizenship so we never have another "birther" situation with millions questioning the President's Constitutional legitimacy. The biggest problem will be the 600,000 useful idiot strong ACORN, or its next incarnation, funded with billions of taxpayer's dollars, corrupting the election in favor of Obama. We must have trained poll watchers everywhere, without fail. The left is notorious for stuffing ballot boxes.
