REPORT: Obama administration was warned about attacks, did nothing

Paul Wolfowitz, Assistant Secretary to Donald Rumsfeld and other military experts are asserting that the attacks on our Embassies and the violence in the Middle East is a failure of the Obama Doctrine… Obama’s weak foreign policy… Wolfowitz also said that Mitt Romney was right in his statements and that Romney has every right and should be speaking out as the possible next President of the United States. Paul Wolfowitz added that there was too much bragging and spiking of the football by the White House about the killing of Osama Bin Laden. He went on to say that President Obama’s treatment of Israel and overall weakness, America’s absence of leadership, has caused these events…

Report: Intelligence Cable Sent To Cairo Prior To Attacks

The Blaze:

Senior diplomatic sources say the U.S. State Department had credible information, 48 hours prior to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya and the embassy in Cairo, that American locations may be targeted, however, no warnings were issued, no “lock down” orders given, The Independent reports.

On Tuesday, a mob of radical Islamists stormed the consulate in Benghazi, killing U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans in a fiery assault. Officials say the murders of the four men were likely the result of “a serious and continuing security breach,” the report states.

Report: State Dept. Had Credible Information 48 Hours Prior to Libya Consulate Attack

A picture shows the damage inside the burnt US consulate building in Benghazi on September 13, 2012, following an attack on the building late on September 11 in which the US ambassador to Libya and three other US nationals were killed. Libya said it has made arrests and opened a probe into the attack, amid speculation that Al-Qaeda rather than a frenzied mob was to blame. (Credit: AFP/Getty Images)

U.S. officials now believe the Libya attack was premeditated, despite initial reports that an anti-Muslim YouTube clip sparked spontaneous riots throughout the Middle East. However, Stevens’ return to Libya was intended to be confidential as well as his location in Benghazi, where he and his staff were murdered, raising additional security concerns for American assets in the country.

The attack was an organized two-part operation by heavily armed militants that included a precisely timed raid on the supposedly secret safe house just as Libyan and U.S. security forces were arriving to rescue evacuated consulate staff, a senior Libyan security official said on Thursday.

Wanis el-Sharef, eastern Libya’s deputy interior minister, said the attacks Tuesday night were suspected to have been timed to mark the 9/11 anniversary, with the militants using the film protest by Libyan civilians to mask their action.

To make the crisis in Libya worse, “sensitive documents” have reportedly gone missing from the U.S. consulate in Benghazi as well as a secret location of a “safe house” in the city, where the consulate staff had retreated to but were bombarded with a mortar attack. Other “safe houses” in the region are no longer considered safe.

The Independent has the exclusive on this story:

Exclusive: America 'was warned of embassy attack but did nothing'

Some of the missing papers from the consulate are said to list names of Libyans who are working with Americans, putting them potentially at risk from extremist groups, while some of the other documents are said to relate to oil contracts.

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and “lockdown”, under which movement is severely restricted.

Mr Stevens had been on a visit to Germany, Austria and Sweden and had just returned to Libya when the Benghazi trip took place with the US embassy’s security staff deciding that the trip could be undertaken safely.

Eight Americans, some from the military, were wounded in the attack which claimed the lives of Mr Stevens, Sean Smith, an information officer, and two US Marines. All staff from Benghazi have now been moved to the capital, Tripoli, and those whose work is deemed to be non-essential may be flown out of Libya.

[...]

There is growing belief that the attack was in revenge for the killing in a drone strike in Pakistan of Mohammed Hassan Qaed, an al-Qa’ida operative who was, as his nom-de-guerre Abu Yahya al-Libi suggests, from Libya, and timed for the anniversary of the 11 September attacks.

Eastern Libya’s deputy interior minister, Wanis el-Sharef, said a mob first stormed the consulate Tuesday night and then, hours later, raided a safe house in the compound just as U.S. and Libyan security arrived to evacuate the staff. That suggested, el-Sharef said, that infiltrators within the security forces may have tipped off the militants to the safe house’s location.

Killed in the attack were U.S. Ambassador Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith

private security guard Glen Doherty and one other American who has yet to be identified.

El-Sharef said four people were arrested at their homes Thursday in relation to the attack, but he refused to give any further details. He said it was too early to say if the suspects belonged to a particular group or what their motive was. Libya’s new prime minister, Mustafa Abu-Shakour, said authorities were looking for more suspects.

Additionally, U.S. embassies across the world ramped up security Thursday as Muslims reportedly angry over an anti-Islam film stormed the U.S. mission in Yemen and clashed with police near the American mission in Cairo.

In Yemen, hundreds of protesters chanting “Death to America!” stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in the capital, Sanaa, and burned the American flag. Yemen’s president, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, quickly apologized to the U.S. for the attack and vowed track down the culprits.

--> Global Research: Now there are reports that: US-Backed Terrorists Murder US Ambassador in Libya  <--

Watching the speeches by President Obama and Secretary Clinton at the Ceremony for our murdered dignitaries was nauseating knowing that the policies and inactions of Obama and Clinton caused their deaths!

Hillary was apologizing for the video as the bodies are being loaded into hearses. Absolutely disgusting. This administration is the worst. She was speaking so slowly, it sounded like she was sedated… guilt?

And Obama starts his speech with “Scripture teaches us..." Really… Down right insulting

Neither showed any true emotion…

Machiavelli: “It is more important to be feared than loved!”

Reagan: “Peace Through Strength”

Obama like Carter: “Apologies and Weakness” or is it Betrayal?

We Can No Longer Trust a Beclowned American Media…

Most everyone knows that the bulk of those in the mainstream media lean left but they now have become so blatantly partisan that it is embarrassing for them, but should also be frightening to every American and lover of freedom!  The media must be neutral or at least balanced in its coverage because it is their job to be the watchdog… a fair impartial watchdog.  We no longer have that in America.  M~

American Media

Ronald Reagan:  “Peace through strength!”

Barack Obama: “Turmoil through weakness and apologies”

And last night on the main news outlets 9-minutes were spent demonizing Mitt Romney over his Reaganesque type comments, after reporters colluded to ambush him at a press conference, for standing up and speaking out against our embassies being attacked in Egypt and Libya and 4-Americans being murdered including our Ambassador to Libya.  Only 25-seconds were spent on what was actually going on in the Middle East…  Are we being had? You be the judge.

Red State:

Yesterday, as the American consulate in Libya was smoking and the rioters were returning in Egypt, the President of the United States flew off to Las Vegas for a fundraiser while his spokesman was telling the American press corps that yesterday wasn’t really a normal political day. Had it been George W. Bush, the media would, right now, be marching on the White House with pitch forks and torches. Remember, on 9/11, as events were unfolding in Washington, the American media was crying for President Bush to return to Washington. They wanted Daddy at home in the White House where he could tuck them in bed, damn the security issues of getting him there.

I get that Chuck Todd is a former Democrat hill staffer. I get that the Politico is riddled with Democrats, some former activists and a former staffer for Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I get that Michael Scherer from Time magazine is a left wing reporter for Mother Jones and Salon.com turned respectable, “objective” journalist. I get that Ben Smith, leading up Buzz Feed, is a leftwing journalist paraded about as if he is some sort of objective reporter at a trendy site full of cat photos. [Editor's Note: Totally forgot to include Journolist and have updated to include it] I get that precious Ezra Klein started Journolist so reporters and political operatives could collaborate on the news and narrative and now he sits at the Washington Post and gets trotted out as a fact checker. What I really get is that the American media runs with a herd mentality, leans left, and yesterday collectively fell over their group think as they leaned so far left to focus on Mitt Romney and not President Obama. Yesterday, the American media beclowned itself in ways I didn’t really even think was possible, even knowing how in the tank for Barack Obama they are.

Yesterday, we learned that there were no Marines protecting our Ambassador to Libya despite State Department warnings about violence and kidnappings in the Benghazi. We already knew Al Qaeda was coming on strong there. But we relied on locals for support and now we know the locals betrayed us as they have in the past in Afghanistan and Iraq too.

But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.

Night before last, the President condemned Mitt Romney in harsher tones than he condemned the rioters. It took him until sun up yesterday to condemn them.

But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.

Yesterday, the media spent much time condemning the Coptic Christians for their movie, but we now know the movie had been out for months and we also know the riots were orchestrated in advance. We also know the attack on the American consulate in Libya used the riots as cover for the attack.

But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.

Yesterday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a man who swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America, called an American civilian to ask him to stop exercising his first amendment rights.

But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.

We also now know that the President, close to 60% of the time, has opted for printed intelligence briefings, which this White House thinks are as useful as an intelligence officer in the room who the President can probe, prod, challenge, and question.

But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.

And in focusing on Mitt Romney, finally, of all the places, Slate and Dave Weigel finally point out that Mitt Romney’s gaffe was no gaffe, it was a consistent view of foreign policy foreign to the ears of the political press. He, I, and many others really do think Barack Obama is an apologist. We really do think his speech to Cairo after his entrance to the White House was part of a world apology tour. And we sure as hell think his actions in the past year to foster the Arab Spring were the actions of a naive fool.

But then the media has been playing the naive fool for him.

UPDATE: A friend points out that what the news media is doing here is roughly what they did after Trayvon Martin’s killing. They rushed to judgment, got basic facts wrong, and then sensationalized it with audio experts and what not only to have to beat a path to retreat later.

Comments:

Christine:

Romney did what we hoped he would do - showed some spine and spoke up rather than just sit there or spout pleasantries to the President. We should strongly support that and encourage EVERY Republican to do the same. Speak up. Talk about this, don't just hide in a corner or let the LSM walk on them.

One "journolist" said on Twitter yesterday that Romney's election chances are in trouble because he's somehow offended "the press". These things also should be put out in the daylight for as many as possible to see.

FNC's Democrat Kirsten Powers Slams 'Utterly Insane' Media 'Obsession' With Attacking Romney

Video: Open mic shows press pool coordinating question if Romney regretted criticizing Obama on Egypt

NewsBusters:

Appearing on Fox News's America Live on Thursday, Daily Beast columnist and Democratic pundit Kirsten Powers ripped the liberal media for expressing more outrage over Mitt Romney's reaction to Tuesday's embassy attacks, than toward the attackers themselves: "I mean, it is just absolutely utterly insane the way that they have elevated this." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]

Powers worried that the blatant bias had "overshadowed any kind of outrage that you would see over the fact that you have Islamic flags being hoisted over American embassies, the fact that an American ambassador is dead."

Acknowledging the Democratic perspective, Powers explained: "...let's just stipulate that, for the sake of argument, that Romney shouldn't have done it [criticized Obama] – I don't agree with that – it still would not explain the obsession with Romney's statement over these horrific events that are unfolding in front of us."
Later in the discussion, host Megyn Kelly asked Powers: "You always have to look back at, you know, when detecting media – you know, potential media bias, you look back at what would the media have done if this had happened on George Bush's watch?"
Powers denounced the double standard:

Yeah. It would have been completely radically different. Look, like I said, even if you agree that Mitt Romney did something wrong, okay, look at that, but let's also look at the Obama administration. It was just radio silence....why didn't they know that these attacks were coming? Was Obama getting his intelligence briefings? I mean these are the issues that should be being asked and would be being asked if this had happened on George Bush's watch.

Here are portions of the September 13 discussion:

2:36PM ET
(...)
MEGYN KELLY: And just so our viewers know, what happened was the U.S. embassy, just to refresh you, in Cairo, came out with a statement condemning "the misguided individuals who tried to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims." Then they got attacked and they doubled down on that statement. Mitt Romney came out and criticized the statement, saying, "that's disgraceful that the administration's first response was not to condemn the attacks on the diplomatic mission, but to sympathize with those waging them." Later, Washington pulled back the embassy statement and said we didn't authorize it either. So Kirsten, you wound up having the Obama administration and Mitt Romney agreeing that the embassy statement was not appropriate. And yet, the whole media narrative yesterday was how awful Governor Romney was for pointing it out.

Video:  How the Media is Handling the MidEast Crisis, Gov. Romney and the President

KIRSTEN POWERS: Oh yeah, it's still the media narrative. And the thing is, the outrage that has been expressed over the fact that Mitt Romney put out this statement has even overshadowed any kind of outrage that you would see over the fact that you have Islamic flags being hoisted over American embassies, the fact that an American ambassador is dead. I mean you just are not seeing the same level of outrage over just the process of what time he put the statement out. I mean, it is just absolutely utterly insane the way that they have elevated this. And even if we stipulated, Megyn, let's just stipulate that, for the sake of argument, that Romney shouldn't have done it – I don't agree with that – it still would not explain the obsession with Romney's statement over these horrific events that are unfolding in front of us.
(...)
KELLY: And Kirsten, you always have to look back at, you know, when detecting media – you know, potential media bias, you look back at what would the media have done if this had happened on George Bush's watch?
POWERS: Oh, yeah.
KELLY: If we had had these attacks on the embassies and the consulates.
POWERS: Yeah. It would have been completely radically different. Look, like I said, even if you agree that Mitt Romney did something wrong, okay, look at that, but let's also look at the Obama administration. It was just radio silence. You know, they allowed that statement to stay up on an embassy web site, which is taken as the official position of the U.S. government. This person was, someone was tweeting from the official account and they didn't – they didn't come out and say a word. So what's that about? And did they know – why didn't they know that these attacks were coming? Was Obama getting his intelligence briefings? I mean these are the issues that should be being asked and would be being asked if this had happened on George Bush's watch.
(...)
POWERS: One of the things that a lot of liberals are complaining about is they're saying that Mitt Romney attacked Obama, basically saying this was his statement, which of course, we all thought it was the Obama administration's statement because it was on the embassy web site. But even if it wasn't, what has he said that's any different than that? You know, I mean he hasn't used that exact phrasing, but we could not have had a weaker response to this if we just sat around and tried to think of like, what's the weakest thing we could do? And that initial statement was weak, and now we have a continued – the administration coming out and condemning this movie as if the movie caused this attack. The fanatics attacked the embassy. They're going to attack us whether there's a movie or there's not a movie. And they are continuing to do – the sentiment in that original statement continues to be the sentiment of the Obama administration.

Brent Bozell's picture

Barack Obama has morphed into Jimmy Carter before our eyes, said Brent Bozzel the founder and president of the Media Research Center
but the liberal media have refused to report on the Obama Administration’s failed foreign policy of apologies and appeasement. Terrified to hurt Obama’s chances of re-election, they are shamelessly seizing on this horrific attack on Americans abroad to push their go-to narrative that Mitt Romney is tone deaf.

Romney rightly criticized the Obama Administration for its spineless apology to thugs whose idea of ‘diplomacy’ is intimidation, violence and murder. As the façade of the ‘Arab Spring’ continues to fracture and crumble away, the media have shifted to a strategy of distraction and omission.

These are the same media that hailed Obama’s Libya policy as ‘deft’ and proclaimed that his ‘victories’ in the Middle East would ‘burnish his credentials as a world leader.’ NBC’s David Gregory said Obama would ‘use [that] experience as a club against Republicans.’ Instead of letting Obama club the Republicans, the media administered a beating on Romney.

There were two political stories to report yesterday, and the liberal media deliberately chose to amplify the insignificant one because it damaged Romney and helped Obama’s chances to win re-election.  The hope is that the American people are a lot smarter than the leftist media gives them credit for.

Another common sense journalist, Diana West, the author of "The Death of the Grown-Up: How America's Arrested Development Is Bringing Down Western Civilization”, blasts Obama and Clinton for their concern over hurting Muslims 'feelings': Islamic law does not nullify 1st Amendment!

For anyone who is not up on the events that led to Romney’s comments and the open mic incident highlighting the media’s favoritism, media collusion and the left’s disdain for the true purpose of their careers and responsibility as watchdogs as well as for the American people see:  U.S. Embassy Attacked: CNN Breaking News @ 14:06 EDST on 9/11, From Egypt… Then Libya, No Comments From Obama – Updated and  Day Late… Dollar Short… Spinner in Chief

U.S. identifies anti-Muslim filmmaker -  Really… Our government is now identifying film makers, like they did our seal team, to terrorists?  And instead of focusing on the problems with our government’s actions, the MSM is deriding Romney’s quick and presidential response and show of strength against the actions, including the murder of our Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, by Muslim terrorists against American Embassies in Egypt and Libya.

Obama was at a fundraiser in Nevada, missing his Intel briefing, instead of dealing with the emergency and virtually simultaneously announced he would be appearing on Letterman in New York on the same day that he said he could not work a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu if Israel into his schedule.  But now the White House is bad-mouthing Governor Romney and the media is covering Obama’s inept back. Hello? What am I missing? Americans get attacked, Barack Hussein Obama apologizes, Romney calls Obama on it and the media says Romney made a gaffe?  And want him to apologize… What?

Again… Ronald Reagan said “Peace through strength!”  Mitt Romney is following suit!  Obama and Hillary are still apologizing… the last time we had very similar circumstances was when the last appeasement president, Jimmy Carter, was in the White House and Iranian terrorists took over the American Embassy in Iran.  The American people elected Ronald Reagan soon thereafter and all the prisoners were quickly released… something that weak Carter could not negotiate.  Hmmm… sounding familiar?

If you are interested in the truth or at least both sides of an argument make sure that you add Fox News, The Blaze now on Dish 212 and a variety of perspectives from online blogs to your news intake… If you are watching and getting all your news from  CNN, PBS, ABC, CBS, NBC or MSNBC you are only seeing the news from a left-wing perspective and from what you can see from above… a lot is missing or skewed.

OBAMA TO OFFICIALLY LAUNCH CAMPAIGN ON KARL MARX'S BIRTHDAY

YOU JUST CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!

Obama will officially launch his 2012 re-election campaign, and no I'm not kidding, on Karl Marx's birthday, May 5th! First, we learn that Earth Day was started on the birthday of Vladimir Lenin, the Communist butcher and founder of the USSR, now we learn that Barack Obama, America's first Marxist president, is launching his campaign on the father of communism's birthday? Come on, now. This is just too appropriate! How fitting!

Coincidence? Stupid oversight? Or, an intentional middle-finger in the face of the American people? You be the judge!

Less Government = More Freedom

Election 2012… We Can’t Afford 4-More Years!

Is Romney Conservative Enough?

As Newt Gingrich suspended his campaign for the GOP nominee for President he said he is often asked, “Is Romney conservative enough?”

His answer is: “Compared to Barack Obama, the most radical president in U.S. history? We are not talking about Mitt Romney running against Ronald Reagan… We are talking about Mitt Romney running against Barack Obama.”  The answer is clear!

We are also talking about freedom vs. nanny state, free-market capitalism vs. socialism and hope vs. mediocrity.

If you love America at this point the goal has to be voting and supporting Mitt Romney to beat Barack Hussein Obama in 2012, and to surround Romney with a fiscally and socially sound and conservative House and Senate, no matter who else you wanted as your first pick for the GOP nominee.

4-more-years of Obama will turn us into the bankrupt United Socialist States of America and/or a minor player in a New World Economic Order run by the United Nations.  Staying home and not working for or at least voting for Romney is a vote for Obama… it is how we ended up with Jimmy Carter. Conservatives and Independents who were disappointed that Reagan did not get the nomination that time around were disappointed so stayed home… Carter (who looks moderate against Obama) won.

Mr. and Mrs. Salahi are created 5th column operatives.....and much more

Note: I am just passing this on for you to view. I don't necessarily concur with all that is in it. But there is sure some interesting stuff in the link by Lame Cherry about O's Grandma etc.

Posted by Emil J Milano/Founder on November 30, 2009 at 7:00am

That is who Nidal Hasan was, a terrorist soldier not of the United States, but a terrorist soldier of the Islamic order. He was created, groomed and activated in his field just as certainly Mr. and Mrs. Salahi are created 5th column operatives.

By Lame Cherry - http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/
With the remnant of loyal United States Intelligence Agencies begging someone in the press to break the real meaning behind the Salahi event at the White House, it is time to further explain the real meaning what this Barack Obama 5th column was really accomplishing as they gained access to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Perceptions are all in the nuance of the event. Readers will remember Mr. Obama showing the sole of his shoe to the Jews while he was on the phone with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Such events are not by chance no more than Mr. & Mrs. Salahi meeting Sen. Obama in 2005 at a Polo match (now why was Obama there?) and the Salahi’s stating they were indeed on the invited guest list as the White House scrambles to cover up what happened.

One needs to return to the distance past of the 1930’s when Austrian Adolf Hitler started a maniacal rise to power exactly like Barack Hussein Obama, another non native import.

Mr. Hitler was the first architectural political genius of the modern age. He was a true artist at heart in understanding the complete envelopment of the German psyche.

There was nothing which national socialist or Nazi Adolf Hitler did not invade in his Germanic culture. The stirring operas of Richard Wagner stirred the soul, the Valkyrie gave his cause epic proportions, Darwin gave him the science of a master race, antiquity provided him with the Aryan mythos, the Babylonian Mystery Religion gave him his cultus and all of the pageantry of the SS gave him his noble knights.

People miss that aspect in the mystique of Hitler in his German elite were indeed knights. Himler had secret orders with rites and this was a calling for Hitler.

Adolf Hitler designed everything from the Germania Reich of 1000 years from his city of the future he designed down to the incredibly beautiful SS uniforms which still inspire today.

In all honesty, only the United States Marines dress blues surpass the Nazi SS uniform. The SS was cast as both beauty and dread and Hitler crafted that guise so well that it still inspires Star Wars to the evil on the wonderful series Firefly.

Think of that in not one SS soldier is uniformed today and yet those uniforms of Hitler still make the world fill with awe. They were artistic perfection in indulging all that was rapine in the human soul.

I remember the old Germans speaking of Hitler in phrases like, “Yah yah, you listen now. We will sing our songs. We will march to our music. We will do as we please”.

This was what Hitler tapped into, instead of a national apology for an enslaved German people, he inspired them by making it a wonder to be a German again.

This psyche was not alone a German order. Italy would be swept away by this and Imperial Japan would have it’s own master race order. The Hitler mystique would inspire the Persians under British mandate to change their name to Aryan or Iranian which they are not, but just to gain sympathy from Hitler so he might give them freedom when he defeated the English.

In Egypt the order would travail in the form of the bana Nazi and after the war, transcend into the Muslim Brotherhood. As time passed Sheik bin Laden would lead the Wahhabist order of the Islamfascists and the Egyptian would lead the growing order of Islamocommunists in Dr. Zawahiri.

In Palestine the Islamocommunist Hezbollah and Hamas, are at odds with the Isalmofascist Fatah.

In America one finds the two Juniors, Ellison and Obama, as they hybrid Islamomarxists of black power. In Persia, the Islamocommunists are led by a growing Emmanuel Kant, a German again, infusing a sort of prime directive of all is legal as long as the ends justify the means.

All of this is fueled by the Muslim oil cartel finance structure. It has been busy building mosques around the world churning out maniacs to the bana Nazi order.

That is who Nidal Hasan was, a terrorist soldier not of the United States, but a terrorist soldier of the Islamic order. He was created, groomed and activated in his field just as certainly Mr. and Mrs. Salahi are created 5th column operatives.

To explain this is to understand Kaiser Wilhelm’s infamous insights into the world order which destroyed his Christian Germany twice as the Germans were an impediment to the central European financial cartels communization of the world, starting in Europe.

The Kaiser noted that with John Wilkes Booth that it was always easy to find some lunatic to pull a trigger. The finding was by the European cartel who assassinated President Lincoln and who did start the Civil War to accomplish what Barack Hussein Obama is now accomplishing in the devastation of America.

One must understand that there are moles and sleeper agents, but in a group of 1000 people there are Nidal Hasan’s who can be programmed and there are operatives like those in CAIR working on self gratifying political motives, there is an Obama kid to be funded and groomed in Chicago, there is a Tony Rezko making money off of blacks as a slum lord and there are Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who in Washington Redskin cheerleader uniforms, part of the affluent Virginia polo set, just have that new venture of the “sex me up Muslim” that is so appealing to an American market who just have had it with these wooly turban heads they don’t understand.

See the Salahi’s are on their own attention whore mission like Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame in being close to the cause, but not high enough in the global cause to get the seats at the main table.

Information from American intelligence is going to have to be more in depth, but when the Salahi’s are part of a group which was run by an Obama terrorist in Mr. Khaladi, meant to circumvent Jews out of their territories for a Philistine state, the Salahi’s are the sexy 5th column to what CAIR is doing through Junior Ellison in Congress.

See Tareq Salahi is what Americans can understand, and is the mission they will sign off on, because just like Joe Biden was horn dog over her, the current Obama voter who was wet pantie over him, can say that good Hugh Hefner sex is good no matter if it is getting bushels of Jews slaughtered and bushels of Gazites under rubble.

So when Mr. and Mrs. Salahi say they were on the guest list, it means they have the influential terror backing friends who are the same friends who built Barack Hussein Obama from his communist organizer kit.

Stevie Wonder suspicion though leads one by the Secret Service reaction in begging the puppy press to figure this story out as beyond a security issue, that the Salahi photos were just as planted as Obama’s showing the shoe to Jews photo was.

It is a well known fact that Mr. Obama used Twitter with the Iranians to foment a revolution there, so that Iranian Patriots would be exposed to be captured and executed.

The Greeks discovered this same Twitter sphere was being used against them by Muslims. Yahoo is now being source for the same upheavals.

So is it just chance that people connected to the Philistine takeover of Israeli territory and Jerusalem, happen to get into the White House, happen to be photographed with important Jew Rahm Emmanuel drooling over Mrs. Salahi, find themselves fondled by Joe Biden and then the Obama White House releases a photo of Mrs. Salahi having hand sex with Obama as the husband glowingly pimps his wife who is clearly in control of Barack Hussein Obama………..

OK now in this photo op, just what message did Bearick Obama send to his Palestinians and Muslims worldwide as they released the photo deliberately. Bowbama wasn’t bowing this time to a Saudi King, he was being hand serviced by the harem girl in an oasis of ecstasy.

That Salahi message was seen all over the Middle East Islam connect and it’s message was Muslims and their cause are in control of the White House Oval Office, Vice President Joe Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel.

Weigh the depths of this though in this was the Palestinian Islamomarxist cause invading the Hindu Indian main event. The Indians are in a terror war within their nation and against Pakistan.

The Indians are running their own terrorists against Muslims, and here is Barack Hussein Obama, having the blonde benefactors of the Palestinian mandate fondling themselves all over the Indian state dinner.

Nothing in this news media happens unless it is generated by the patricians. The Salahi’s could have had their pictures online for a 100 years and if the White House didn’t want the story run, that story would have been shut down by the puppy press.

This was a directed event of manipulation, cover up, lies, and this blog concludes a desperate plea by loyal security service members who know exactly what this 5th column of Obama has been up to.

What Nidal Hasan did in Fort Hood is what Tareq Salahi did with a slinky red dress in the White House.

There is definitely security personnel who are begging for someone to expose this full story who are loyal to the United States. They know a whole lot more what the Salahi event is about as the tip of the iceberg and more is to come if someone bothers to do the digging.

I know I am right on this for numerous reasons. This was the honeypot attack which the Soviets utilized so clumsily in corrupting US Citizens for generations. It is only fitting as the Hitler bana Nazi has degraded to the control of Dr. Zawahiri and his Russian Bolshevik KGB and FSB operations that Marxist Obama would be part of this group which is sexing it up for an American message from the Islamocommunist 5th column.

The fact is the United States has been infiltrated and corrupted, the Salahi’s are proof positive of this. They were being used in their own attention whore schemes. The message has been sent, condoned by Barack Hussein Obama and Axelrod Inc., and, another terror attack upon America has gone unnoticed.

You have to get the point children, they are not going to do this with bombs and bullets alone. This is a new game and sexy chics are as much a facet as million dollar donations to Jimmy Carter Jew and American hating Carter Center propaganda.

Start viewing this from a new perspective and you just might start seeing things more clearly as to what the news really is showing, this was a Tokyo Rose broadcast.

Generational Racism is Old and Tired

Reverend Al Sharpton arrives at the "Get Schooled" conference and premiere hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Viacom on Tuesday Sept. 8, 2009, in Los Angeles. (AP Photo/Matt Sayles)

Jimmy Carter is 85 years old. Dave Letterman is 62, Nancy Pelosi is 69, Maureen Dowd is 57, and Al Sharpton is 54.

These are the people – and theirs is the generation – who are teaching America’s youth how to be racist in 2009. They are very good instructors.

Whether it’s Carter’s insistence that “an overwhelming portion” of the opposition to Obama is racist, or it’s Dowd declaring “Some people just can’t believe a black man is president,” or it’s Pelosi’s feigned crocodile tears over the “language being used,” or it’s Letterman baiting the president into a race discussion, each one of them is telling my generation and the ones that follow that race is merely a political weapon of expedience, to be used haphazardly and crudely simply to get what you want. As long as there is a convenient victim to prop up, some kind of imagined target of the hood-donning right, it doesn’t matter if the racism is real or perceived. It just matters that it’s effective.

And it used to be. Race was always a hot-button topic in this country, and it still is. But the sharpness of that threat has been dulled a bit. Thanks to the inarguable success of the civil rights movement, my generation, the 20- and 30-somethings, didn’t grow up encumbered by the aggressive identity politics of the 60s and 70s, or the kind of rhetoric that made white people scared to talk about race, and men scared to talk about gender.

So my generation isn’t so easily intimidated by discussions of race, because we were raised in a climate that was much less hostile toward them. And that should be a good thing, the unmitigated result of equality and justice, the mark of progress. We talk about race in blunt and unthreatening terms when race is an issue. And when it isn’t an issue, well, we don’t pretend it is.

Not so with the aging liberal cognoscenti, which, as of late, would be better labeled the “ignoscenti” for some of the baffling oddities they’ve uttered. For them, race is simply everywhere. It is hanging from the trees and falling from the sky. It’s in the air, in the water, it is both viscous and fluid, and permeates every willing orifice of every fertile sponge. The Sharptons and Dowds and Carters and Lettermans have decided that they’re not quite ready to live in the post-race America they effervesced about so dreamily and giddily during the presidential campaign. And why not? Because, as it turns out, living in a “racist America” is much more useful to them

Instead of discussing Obama’s plans for health care reform, immigration, foreign policy or the economy on their merits (or demerits, as it were), graying liberal finger-pointers have discovered it’s so much easier to simply play the race card. So any opposition to the president’s initiatives – which are frightening enough without projecting an imagined veil of racism onto them – quickly elicits throaty screams of “racism!” with the hope that all their enemies will scurry back into their caves, shamed into hiding by the tenured, holier-than-thou professors of race politics who are still clinging to their 1965 textbooks.

And some of them do scurry back into their caves, chastised and ridiculed. But I'd bet every time they weren't from my generation. We don’t take the scurrilous accusations levied at a Joe Wilson, or a tea partier or a town hall seriously – because they’re not. They are quite simply preposterous. And so, as we are wont to do, we point and laugh instead, throwing our heads back in bemusement at the old establishment fogies who’ve yet to enter the 21st century.

Race-baiting is so five minutes ago, we tell them – but it falls on deaf (or at least hearing-impaired) ears. No matter, they’re hoping that the old-school racializing of everything and anything (did Joe Wilson say “boy,” like Maureen Dowd said?! Gasp!) will come back into fashion. It won’t. Because my generation is the first that isn’t willing to go gentle into that good night, intimidated and threatened by Al Sharpton’s erratic dry-heaving or Maureen Dowd’s shrill lectures, or Jimmy Carter’s see-through sanctimony. I know they really, really want us to take them and their lunatic accusations of racism seriously, but we're rebelling instead. Better get used to it. It's all just part of the aging process.

The unfortunate thing is that racism is real. Racism does still exist here in America. I've seen it with my own eyes. And every time Nancy Pelosi or David Paterson or David Letterman pretends it lives somewhere it doesn’t, it makes it all the more difficult to find out where it actually does. So thanks, baby boomer liberals, for coming so far and trying to bring us with you. I think we’ll get off this train though. No one my age wants to go where you’re going: Back in time.

I’m with you!  Good article!!

As the Obama presidency continues to be a complete disaster and in freefall and without any real defense for their failure, the main talking point for the left has become playing the race card. As the Obama administration and many their supporters have been proven wrong on healthcare, the economy, the war on terror, GITMO, unemployment and most recently ACORN they have begun to ratchet up their below the belt attacks typical of the left wing playbook who are not mentally capable of reality.

The recent racist column by Maureen Dowd shows their desperation, the same desperation we have seen escalating on this forum for a few weeks now as they see their socialist agenda coming to an abrupt end. So that is how I am judging the failures of the left from here on, when Franken votes down ACORN funding the left will call us racists, when the unemployment numbers come in we will be called racists for posting them, when Obamascare finally dies we will be called died in the wool crackers. So keep up the racial attacks, the more I hear it the better we are doing

A positive affect of all this recent race bating from the left is the death of the fear of being called a racist and whole crazy political correctness agenda by those baby-boomers who were never were racists but have been bullied into a corner where they have had to worry about any comment or joke or action that someone… anyone, however unstable or agenda focused, might misinterpret.  They are seeing that they have been played for years and after electing a black president, even after his associations with like of Weatherman Bill Ayers and Reverend Jeremiah Right, they are done feeling guilty!

Plus the more times you use the same ploy, like a dirty word, it stops having an affect.

There is still some racism in this country and from what we see a lot of it is coming from the left, and not necessarily from White people.  So far the racist remarks and race games have come primarily from the left, including the White House, and not too many people are listening or even care anymore.  A sad thing for true racist events.

Don't Let Obama "Devour" Your Wealth!

Obama's Dangerous "Eating Problem." Don't Let it Gobble You Up...

Dear Concerned American,

Mike HuckabeePresident Obama keeps lecturing about our “obesity epidemic.” But he’s the one who can’t stop eating (or smoking)!

No, not food. It’s worse! Obama is devouring the entire free-enterprise system.

In his first 100 days as president, Obama gobbled up two major automakers, wolfed down nearly 600 banks, gorged on blue-chip companies, and scarfed down the U.S. credit industry. Now he wants dessert.

President “Obama the Hungry” makes King Henry VIII look like a compulsive dieter!
I know something about overeating. It can kill you. Back when I was governor of Arkansas, I was so overweight I developed Type II diabetes. Doctors told me to lay down the knife and fork -- or else. That scared me. I cut the calories and lost 110 pounds. Only then did I regain my health.

Does bloat scare Obama? Heck no. He’s hungry for more! Fresh from gulping down $800 billion of our money to load up his Washington smorgasbord, he’s planning yet another massive banquet. Obama wants to belly up to the table and swallow the best health care system in the world. And you and I will pay the tab for this gargantuan pig-out!

As sure as heartburn follows a chili-dog, this massive “Obama-binge” will trigger hyperinflation. There’s only one way for the President to pay for this feast and you know what it is. Yes, get those presses rolling and print trillions of inflated dollars.

I’ll bet you’re thinking -- well, what can I do about it? True enough, Obama can pretty much do what he wants -- at least until the 2010 mid-term elections come along and we Americans can send him a “slim-down or else” message.

But right now, you and I need to protect the money we’ve earned and invested over the years -- before Obama’s hyperinflation chews our buying power down by multiple percentage points. This is a serious concern, believe me. It’s so serious I won’t pretend, as a politician and talk-show host, to have the answers for you. But I know someone who does.

I urge you to consider the proven financial guidance of Doug Fabian -- the renowned investing advisor who saw the financial meltdown of 2008 coming and saved a whole lot of people a whole lot of money.

Subscribers to Successful Investing, Doug’s newsletter, knew the meaning of terms like “housing bubble” and “sub-prime” long before they became headline news and the source of financial misery for millions.

This is what Doug wrote in 2006, nearly two years before the crash:

“Pay little heed to the real estate industry’s PR campaign to play down the coming housing price slump. It’s happening. The bottom is falling out for many banks, investors, and homeowners right now.”

This is what Doug is writing today:

“Never mind the endless speculation about inflation and interest rates -- they’re going up.”

Doug ’s not just warning his readers about hyperinflation, he’s steering them to investments that make money during inflationary periods. He reminds us that many fortunes were made in the 1970s when America was ravaged by high inflation and brought to the brink of collapse by Jimmy Carter -- a president eerily similar to Barack Obama.

Look, I’m no investing wizard. But I invest. I have to. So do you. Counting on Social Security while Obama is in office is a little like saying, “The Light Brigade is about to charge? Sign me up!”

But having someone with the proven know-how and track record of Doug Fabian is a comfort. That’s some track record, by the way. Successful Investing has generated double-digit annual returns for ordinary investors for 32 years and counting. Best of all, Doug does all the work for you.

Don’t just take my word. Investor’s Business Daily called Doug “one of the best market timers in the business.” And The Hulbert Financial Digest -- the watchdog of investing newsletters -- rated Doug’s trading services in the Top 10 for 2008 -- out of 186 financial publications over all.

Count on it, the “Obama-binge” will result in hyperinflation. ($800 billion in government spending makes it all but inevitable). You can’t control that. But when the day of reckoning comes, you can be one of the few whose portfolio is already adapted to profit from it. Could you ask for anything better? Well, you can. But you’ll have to wait till 2012 before we elect a new president!

Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

The Apologists

For 50 minutes, Obama sat mute, as a Marxist thug from Nicaragua delivered his diatribe, charging America with a century of terrorist aggression in Central America.

After Daniel Ortega finished spitting in our face, accusing us of inhumanity toward Fidel Castro's Cuba, Obama was asked his thoughts.

"I thought it was 50 minutes long. That's what I thought."

Hillary Clinton was asked to comment: "I thought the cultural performance was fascinating," she cooed.

Pressed again on Ortega's vitriol, Hillary replied: "To have those first-class Caribbean entertainers all on one stage and to see how much was done in such a small amount of space. I was overwhelmed."

Thus the nation that won the Cold War, contained the cancer of Castroism in Cuba, liberated Grenada, blocked communist takeovers of Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, and poured scores of billions in aid into this region was left undefended by its own leaders at the Summit of the Americas.

Nor was this the only unanswered insult. Hugo Chavez, who has called Obama an "ignoramus" and Bush "El Diablo," walked over to a seated U.S. president and handed him the anti-American tract "Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent."

The book blames Latin America's failures on white Europeans.

It opens, "Renaissance Europeans ventured across the oceans and buried their teeth in the throats of the Indian civilizations."

Civilizations? Before Pizarro and Cortez, the Inca and Aztec empires these conquistadors overthrew were into human sacrifice.

Evo Morales, the Aymaran president of Bolivia, who is using the race card against Bolivians of European descent, implied a U.S. role in an assassination plot against him.

Argentina's Cristina Kirchner, who allegedly received black-bag money from Chavez, ripped into America for its role in the 1980s. Under Reagan, America aided Britain in the Falklands War, after the Argentine junta invaded the islands, and assisted the Contras in their war of national liberation to oust Ortega's Sandinistas.

Again, Obama offered no defense of his country.

President Lula da Silva of Brazil, who blames the world financial crisis on "white, blue-eyed bankers," told Obama that any future Summit of the Americas without the Castro brothers was unacceptable.

Perhaps Obama believes in turn-the-other-cheek diplomacy, though it is hard to find much success in history for such a policy. Perhaps pacifism is in his DNA. Perhaps he shares the indictment of America that is part of the repertoire of every Latin demagogue.

Whatever his motive, in Trinidad, there were not two sides to the story. There were the trashers of America on the Latino left and a U.S. president who wailed plaintively, "I'm thankful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was 3 months old."

But, the Bay of Pigs, had it succeeded, would have given Cubans 50 years of freedom instead of the brutal dictatorship they have had to endure. And it took place four months before Barack was born.

Obama's silence -- signifying, as it does, assent -- in the face of attacks on his country is of a piece with the "contrition tour" of his secretary of state.

"Clinton Scores Points by Admitting Past U.S. Errors," was the headline over Saturday's New York Times story by Mark Landler:

"It has become a recurring theme of Hillary Rodham Clinton's early travels as the chief diplomat of the United States: She says that American policy on a given issue has failed, and her foreign listeners fall all over themselves in gratitude.

"On Friday, Mrs. Clinton said ... that the uncompromising policy of the Bush administration toward Cuba had not worked. ...

"The contrition tour goes beyond Latin America. In China, Mrs. Clinton told audiences that the United States must accept its responsibility as a leading emitter of greenhouse gases. In Indonesia, she said the American-backed policy of sanctions against Myanmar had not been effective. And in the Middle East, she pointed out that ostracizing the Iranian government had not persuaded it to give up its nuclear weapons ambitions."

Sandler wrote that Hillary brought to mind Bill Clinton:

"On a single trip to Africa in 1998 ... Bill Clinton apologized for American participation in slavery; American support of brutal African dictators; American 'neglect and ignorance' of Africa; American failure to intervene sooner in the Rwandan genocide of 1994; American 'complicity' in apartheid ... ."

Yet, as C.S. Lewis reminds us in "God in the Dock," "The first and fatal charm of national repentance is ... the encouragement it gives us to turn from the bitter task of repenting our own sins to the congenial one of bewailing -- but, first, of denouncing -- the conduct of others."

Bewailing the policies of Bush as failures and standing mute in the face of attacks on his country and predecessors may come back to bite Obama.

For when Jimmy Carter assumed a posture of moral superiority over LBJ and Richard Nixon, by declaring, "We have gotten over our inordinate fear of communism," it came back to bite him, good and hard.

The Sting, in Four Parts

WASHINGTON -- Franklin Roosevelt gave us the New Deal. John Kennedy gave us the New Frontier. In a major domestic policy address at Georgetown University this week, Barack Obama promised -- eight times -- a "New Foundation." For those too thick to have noticed this proclamation of a new era in American history, the White House Web site helpfully titled its speech excerpts "A New Foundation."

As it happens, Obama is not the first to try this slogan. President Carter peppered his 1979 State of the Union address with five "New Foundations" (and eight more just naked "foundations"). Like most of Carter's endeavors, this one failed, perhaps because (as I recall it being said at the time) it sounded like the introduction of a new kind of undergarment.

Undaunted, Obama offered his New Foundation speech as the complete, contextual, canonical text for the domestic revolution he aims to enact. It had everything we have come to expect from Obama:

The Whopper: The boast that he had "identified $2 trillion in deficit reductions over the next decade." It takes audacity to repeat this after it had been so widely exposed as transparently phony. Most of this $2 trillion is conjured up by refraining from spending $180 billion a year for 10 more years of surges in Iraq. Hell, why not make the "deficit reductions" $10 trillion -- the extra $8 trillion coming from refraining from repeating the $787 billion stimulus package annually through 2019.

The Puzzler: He further boasted of his frugality by saying that his budget would reduce domestic discretionary spending as share of GDP to the lowest level ever recorded. Amazing. Squeezing discretionary domestic spending at a time of hugely expanding budgets is merely the baleful residue of out-of-control entitlements and debt service, which will increase astronomically under Obama. To claim these as achievements in fiscal responsibility is testament not to Obama's frugality but to his brazenness.

The Non Sequitur: "To make sure such a crisis (as we have today) never happens again," Obama proposes his radical health care, energy and education reforms, the central pillars of his social democratic agenda. But Obama's own words contradict this assertion. Notes The Washington Post: "But as his admirable summation of recent history made clear, these pursuits have little to do with the economic crisis, and they are not the key to economic recovery." Obama rarely fails to repeat this false connection. A crisis -- and the public's resulting pliability to liberal social engineering -- is a terrible thing to waste.

The Swindle: The Obama administration is spending money like none other in peacetime history. Obama is smart. He knows this is fiscally unsustainable. He has let it be known privately and publicly that he intends to cure the imbalance with entitlement reform.

An excellent strategy. If it takes throwing nearly $1 trillion of "porky" (to quote Sen. Charles Schumer) stimulus spending to soften up a Democratic Congress and make it amenable to real entitlement reform, then fine. Reforming Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid would save tens of trillions of dollars, and make the current money-from-helicopters spending almost trivial by comparison.

In the New Foundation speech, Obama correctly (again) identifies the skyrocketing cost of Medicare and Medicaid as the key fiscal problem. But then he claims that Medicaid and Medicare reform is the same as his health care reform, fatuously citing as his authority a one-day meeting of hand-picked interested parties at his "Fiscal Responsibility Summit."

Here's the problem. The heart of Obama's health care reform is universality. Covering more people costs more money. That is why Obama's budget sets aside an extra $634 billion in health care spending, a down payment on an estimated additional spending of $1 trillion. How does the administration curtail the Medicare and Medicaid entitlement by adding yet another (now universal) health care entitlement that its own estimate acknowledges increases costs by about $1 trillion?

Which is why in his March 24 news conference, Obama could not explain how -- when the near-term stimulative spending is over and his ambitious domestic priorities kick in, promising sustained prosperity and deficit reduction -- the deficits at the end of the coming decade are rising, not falling. The Congressional Budget Office has deficits increasing in the last seven years of the decade from an already unsustainable $672 billion annually to $1.2 trillion by 2019.

This is the sand on which the new foundation is constructed. Obama has the magic to make words mean almost anything. Numbers are more resistant to his charms.

U.S. Presidential Libraries

There are 13 Presidential Libraries and one Museum in the U.S. Presidential Library System, administered by the Office of Presidential Libraries, representing the 13 most recent presidents in U.S. history: Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald R. Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, William J. Clinton and George W. Bush. Gerald Ford’s Library and Museum are in two separate cities in Michigan, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids. They are all operated and overseen by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The George W. Bush Presidential Library, which is temporarily located in Lewisville, Texas, is number 13. The permanent Presidential Center, still under construction, will be located on the campus of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, the alma mater of First Lady Laura Bush. Both the Kennedy and the Carter libraries are slated for upgrades and facelifts.

And although not officially sanctioned and maintained by NARA, libraries have been organized for several Presidents who preceded the official start of the Presidential Library Office. They are operated by private foundations, historical societies, or state governments, including the William McKinley, Rutherford Hayes, Calvin Coolidge, Abraham Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson libraries. For example, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is owned and operated by the State of Illinois. The homes of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and John Quincy Adams have been preserved as museums or historical sites as well. Thomas Jefferson’s home Monticello, which Jefferson designed, along with nearby University of Virginia was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, as well as being a U.S. National Historical Landmark. The Adams National Historical Park in Quincy, Massachusetts, preserves the home of Presidents of the United States John Adams and John Quincy Adams, of U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain Charles Francis Adams, Sr., and of the writers and historians Henry Adams and Brooks Adams.

The national historical park's eleven historic structures tell the story of five generations of the Adams family (from 1720 to 1927) including Presidents, First Ladies, U.S. Ministers, historians, writers, and family members who supported and contributed to their success. In addition to "Peacefield," home to four generations of the Adams family and also called the “Old House”, the park's main historic features include: John Adams birthplace (October 30, 1735), the nearby John Quincy Adams birthplace (July 11, 1767); the Stone Library (built in 1870 to house the books of John Quincy Adams and believed to be the first presidential library) containing more than 14,000 historic volumes. United First Parish Church, where both Presidents and the First Ladies are entombed in the Adams Crypt are not now nor have they ever been administered by the National Park service. The Church is owned by the active congregation of Unitarian Universalists. The congregation has used its own resources including its endowments to preserve the building. In the past 10 years the congregation has invested almost $2 million to preserve the building for the next several generations of citizens and members of the congregation.

The Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace was not originally part of the presidential library system. The Nixon Presidential Materials Staff, which administers the Nixon presidential materials under the terms of the Presidential Recordings and Materials Preservation Act, was part of NARA; the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace was run by a private foundation. In January 2004, Congress passed legislation that provided for the establishment of a federally operated Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, CA. In March 2005, the Archivist of the United States and John Taylor, the director of the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace Foundation, exchanged letters on the requirements to allow the Nixon Library to become the twelfth federally funded Presidential library to be operated by the NARA, by 2007.

On October 16, 2006, Dr. Timothy Naftali began his tenure as the first federal director of the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace, and in the winter of 2006 NARA began transferring the 30,000 presidential gifts from the Nixon Presidential Materials Staff in College Park, Maryland to Yorba Linda, California. On July 11, 2007, the Nixon Foundation deeded the Library and Birthplace to the government of the United States. On the same day, the newly-renamed federal Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum officially opened.

Presidential Libraries can be found across the country. Visiting one gives you, your family or your students the opportunity to explore the rich history of our nation and the leaders who helped shape our society. At Presidential Libraries you will find an array of things including museums with interactive exhibits, information on a large variety public programs, important educational and historical events and vast archives and artifacts of our country’s history. The Museum at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and the LBJ Presidential Library and Museum, in partnership with NASA's Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston, tell the story of America's exploration into space, the final frontier. The Reagan Library exhibits his retired Air Force One and movie memorabilia from Ronald Reagan and first lady Nancy Davis Reagan’s Hollywood years as well as artifacts and archives from Reagan’s years as Governor of California and President of the United States. The John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library contains historical information highlighting the careers of Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Senator Edward M. Kennedy and U.S. Ambassador to England Joseph P. Kennedy as well as the lives of President Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.

If you live close to a presidential library or museum it is worth a yearly trip or visits for special events. If you don’t live close to one it is a worthwhile vacation destination or should at least be a major stop on your vacation trip. Local schools would all benefit from a visit to any of the libraries or museums while studying U.S. History and especially the president whose library they are near. Online visits are also helpful to students.

With the exception of John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter, every American president since Hoover is or has chosen to be buried at their presidential library. Kennedy is buried at Arlington National Cemetery; Johnson is buried at his ranch in the hill country of Texas, west of Austin; Carter plans to be buried near his home in Plains, Georgia.

Having had the privilege to visit several of these wonderful libraries and sites it would be my hope that every American visits at least one. It would also be my hope that national government would sponsor a general all encompassing Presidential Library highlighting those presidents who do not have individual libraries.

The greatest teacher and guarantee against repeated failure is a good understanding of the past!

Bush Warns Obama on Jimmy Carter

Outgoing President George W. Bush had a warning for President-elect Barack Obama when they gathered with three former presidents at the White House — be wary of “meddlesome” Jimmy Carter.

Bush, Obama, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Carter met for a photo op and lunch on Jan. 7, and W. told Obama the guy he has to watch out for is “James Earl Carter,” a source disclosed to Newsmax.

According to a source close to the Bush White House, Bush called Carter “extremely meddlesome” and “a real pain in the neck.” Interestingly, Bush also told Obama that Bill Clinton had been helpful and supportive dealing with foreign leaders.

Carter has irked Bush with his globe-trotting efforts over the years.

  • In April 2008, Carter reportedly met in Syria with a leader of Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization, and laid a wreath at the grave of Yasser Arafat.
  • Carter met with Hamas leadership again last December.
  • The former president has created controversy by equating Israel’s policies in the Palestinian territories with apartheid.
  • In May 2002, Carter visited Cuba and met with Fidel Castro. He has called for an end to the U.S. economic embargo of the island nation.
  • Carter criticized the Iraq war as “unnecessary.”

Great Orator, Poor Speech

I was talking to Peter Robinson, who helped write the immortal "Tear Down This Wall, Mr. Gorbachev" speech delivered in Berlin by my dad, Ronald Reagan.

He told me he went back to the archives for 1981 and pulled out a couple of my dad's quotes from the 1981 inaugural address and compared them with a couple of quotes from Barack Obama's inaugural address. He noted that while my dad said it was "morning in America," with Obama it almost went back in tone to Jimmy Carter's infamous "malaise" speech, which pictured an America down in the dumps.

For Obama it was more like "mourning" in America.

You can hear echoes of that malaise speech in Obama's inaugural address when he said, "These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land -- a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights."

There were, however, striking similarities between Ronald Reagan's speeches and those of both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Robinson said, because the Democrats have long been big students of my dad's speeches, going back time and again to the archives to read the words of the Great Communicator and learn from his techniques in communicating.

If you listen to Barack Obama you hear his programs and policies described the way Ronald Reagan would have described them had they been his agenda.

The difference between the two men was that my dad believed everything he said all the way to the core of his being, while Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats use speeches to mask what they really believe.

The bottom line is that the new president's widely anticipated inaugural address, which beforehand was widely touted to be another stunning example of exalted oratory, just plain fell flat.

It wasn't the soaring eloquence for which he is rightly noted -- it was in fact the kind of speech a Chicago ward heeler would have made to his constituents -- " full of sound and fury," as Shakespeare would have put it, "but signifying nothing."

Perhaps the most noteworthy event during the inauguration was the jeremiad disguised as a prayer offered by the grizzled old veteran of the long-past civil rights struggle, the Rev. Joseph Lowery.

As Barack Obama smiled, Rev. Lowery ended the prayer by saying "Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around -- when yellow will be mellow -- when the red man can get ahead, man -- and when white will embrace what is right."

As Rush Limbaugh remarked, Lowery's so-called prayer was far more memorable that the president's entire inaugural address.

Amen.

I wonder if President Obama had any idea of what he was saying when he praised "the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things -- some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom."

These "risk takers . who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom," are the small and large business men and women of America who do the hiring, create products, provide needed services and compete with foreign competitors. They are the very people he wants to burden with heavier and heavier taxation and needless regulations that hamper their attempts to compete with foreign businesses and industries.

The craven New York Times might have had what have been described as "Obamisms" over the speech, but saner observers are simply yawning.
