Bill, Ted, Antonio, Joe, Debbie and Friends Take Us All to an Alternative Universe….

Watching the Democrat National Convention, as I had the Republican National Convention the week before, (completely opposite in tone) I felt like I was watching one of those 1980’s Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure [just released in Blu—ray perhaps specifically for this occasion]... movies.  And when I heard Anderson Cooper say he felt like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was in an alternative universe it struck me that not only was I watching one, but that is where the Democrat Party had gone and was taking us all to if  President Obama is re-elected… to an alternative universe.  The next four years would be Bill, Ted, Antonio, Joe, Debbie and Friends taking us all to an Alternative Universe…  The Obama Universe from where there would be no return.

The DNC platform, speakers and their points, plus the people behind the scenes pulling the strings are as far left as you can get in American politics and from the response, votes and cheering in the Hall, so are the delegates and much of the Democrat party.  Yet America overall, when polled, is still a center right country that believes in God, their religion (primarily Christian), the bill of rights as written, the Constitution as written and value the traditions that have been handed down from our Founding Fathers and generations of average everyday Americans who came before us.  Even America’s stand on abortion has shifted right.  More Americans now openly say they are pro-life (over 50%) than ever before.  Most Americans are against same sex marriage but agree on some type of civil union giving gays the legal rights of married couples and most prefer small government to the vision of Obama and his Chicago crew now in charge. Approximately 43% of Americans consider themselves to be conservatives (this would be even higher and include many more Latinos if it were not for the immigration issue) and only approximately 20% consider themselves liberals. The rest fall into the independent category or the growing category of those who don’t really care about politics, religion or much or anything except their immediate gratification (personally I would put them in the liberal column).

The Democrat party really now represents what only a generation or two ago would have been considered the fringe of American society and their National Convention displayed that. It was overall dismal and disheartening. In fact, the attacks… the extreme focal issues… and the media bias for and by the Democrat party and their speakers were so overwhelming that even some lefties finally spoke out against it.  Jon Stewart ran more than one satirical clip on his show focusing on the hypocrisy of the Democrat National Convention. And one of the most covered examples was the discourse between and comments by Anderson Cooper from CNN and the DNC Chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, known for her lies and smears, over the issue of the DNC removing God and the support for Israel along with the designation for Jerusalem as their official capital from the DNC platform plus promoting abortion at any stage and for any reason. Cooper declared that Wasserman-Schultz was clearly in an alternative universe. Yet the liberal media overall derided the Republican platform as extreme for standing up for Life, the Constitution and against the using of International, especially Sharia, Law in our courts.  But when the group that is supposed to be the watchdog of government misses the spoof on themselves when the real watchdog group Media Research Center  handed out ‘Journalists for Obama’ t-shirts, that were gobbled up by media and visitors to their booth at the DNC convention, there isn’t much more to say. Leftist media Obamaworship is alive and well.

When you cannot ‘honestly’ get a 2/3 vote to reinsert the word God (let alone having delegates booing God) into the Democrat Platform or to re-designate Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East (said to have been removed in this year’s platform in order for the party to align themselves with the President’s beliefs) as well as two other important provisions about Israel that ‘have not’ been reinstated, and your delegates are seen on film booing God, you know you are looking at a party that has left the founding principles of our nation in the dust bin.

Video:  Three Times

(And the Dems have no problem throwing their own own under the bus… Although the outcome of the amended vote was predetermined because it had become a liability, this incident may have ended ultra-liberal Mayor Villaraigosa’s presidential aspirations.

The DNC was a cross between a love-in and a party for the faithful laced with smears, untruths and lies as their drug of choice, that left the Kool-Aid drinkers and media gushing but everyone else flat or angry. Their favorite convention favor was the t-shirt that was supposed to be a joke. And they highlighted Jimmy Carter, the worst president in US history until Obama, Ted Kennedy whose career was marred by the death (murder) of Mary Jo Koepeckne and Ted’s own poor judgment (at best), impeached womanizing President Bill Clinton who essentially dislikes Obama, and VP Joe Biden who kept saying fact-check me and when they did, he got all Pinocchios, like for his tall tale about Obama’s mother. I kept waiting for them to parade out John Edwards, but swift-boated Jon Kerry, who is the richest man ever to run for president (since George Washington) and only paid 12% in taxes and little to charity was disappointing enough.

Over the past year the Dems had tried to create the notion of a (fake) war on women by conservatives, care of Sandra Fluke and her ilk, which the RNC, if watched, completely negated.  But there is a real war on women… WoW by the left which includes their support of gendercide, Sharia Law,and creating dependent women, not to mention the sexism of guys like Democrat leaders Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton:

Political Outcast:

Kennedy-and-ClintonBill Clinton spoke at the Democratic National Convention to save Barack Obama’s failed presidency. But did he instead remind the American people that he mistreated women — from an intern who was the same age of his daughter to his wife who had to grin and bear his infidelity in public? Clinton had sex with an impressionable and vulnerable young woman who was serving as a White House intern. He abused his authority in the same way some teachers abuse their authority by having sex with their students. Then there were the charges of rape by Juanita Broaddrick:

“Michael Isikoff’s book, Uncovering Clinton, and Christopher Hitchens’ book, No One Left to Lie To, argued that Broaddrick’s claim is credible and shows similarities to Paula Jones’ later allegation of sexual harassment. Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen commented, ‘And yet, I cannot get [Broaddrick’s] accusation out of my head. On television, and in interviews with newspaper reporters, Broaddrick appeared credible.’”

Then there’s Democrat Ted Kennedy of Chappaquiddick infamy. The Democrats played a video tribute to the womanizer at the Convention, putting aside his war on women actions. Former Kennedy speechwriter and campaign operative Bob Shrum said in an interview that “over a long period of time” Kennedy was a “a liberal lion, entirely principled” who “could actually get things done.”

A “long period of time” is right. The Chappaquiddick story is so well known that the words “Ted Kennedy” and “Chappaquiddick” are inseparably linked for all time. But there are many people who don’t know the story.

Kennedy was most likely driving under the influence on the evening of July 18, 1969, when he drove his car off Dike Bridge and into Poucha Pond, leaving Mary Jo Kopechne, a young campaign worker, to drown. To add to the tragedy, Kennedy left the scene of the accident and did not report it to the police until 9:45 the next morning. Kennedy hoped to contrive a story that would put Kopechne in the driver’s seat and absolve him of criminal neglect for driving too fast for conditions and under the influence.

Fortunately, no one would go along with this particular lie, although there was still a massive cover-up by the Kennedy political machine to protect the powerful Senator and their own dependent jobs. The Kennedy operatives whisked the other “Boiler Room girls” — who had been with Kennedy and Kopechne at the Lawrence Cottage, where the party was held — off the island and removed any evidence that the senator had been drinking. In addition, the fact of Kennedy’s expired driver’s license disappeared from the Massachusetts motor vehicle office.

Chuck Moss, a journalist for the Detroit News, gets it right in his review of Leo Damore’s Senatorial Privilege: The Chappaquiddick Cover-Up book “reveals the arrogance, the power and the corruption that permitted him to simply walk away into the future, where he can address a nationally televised Democratic convention [in 1988] — on the subject of public morals.”[1]

Let’s not forget John Edwards’s affairs when he was running for the Democrat nomination for president. The media kept the information under wraps like they did for John and Robert Kennedy.

So the next time some Democrat brings up the war on women narrative, just say Kennedy, Clinton, Edwards. Say it over and over again until they start stuttering, go silent, or walk away.

The choice between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney  on November 6th could not be clearer.  But with the make-up of our county and the issues of national debt and joblessness, even for the those who lean left, the question has to be why is the polling so close?  And if it isn’t accurate what will the the voting process and vote counting be like… ?  For those of us who believe that the Obama administration has already taken us much further into that alternative universe known as Obamaland this is the the real problem we face. And no matter how many re-counts, new elections or judicial reviews it takes to get it right before calling (or conceding) an election or seating a candidate (President or downline), we must stand our ground. Voter fraud, manipulation and inaccuracies in the vote counting is perhaps the biggest challenge for Election 2012; that and the awareness (or lack of) of the average voter.

Support Whole Foods Markets and Free Speech

AUG 15 2009 POSTED BY GARYFOUSE - Cross-posted by Gary Fouse fousesquawk

My fellow blogger, Hamilton Roberts, has alerted me to a boycott that is being formed by left-wing ObamaCare proponents against Whole Foods Markets. Why would they boycott a market? Because their CEO, John Mackey, has just written an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal opposing government health care. Here is the article dated August 12 below:
———————————————————————————

The Whole Foods Alternative to ObamaCare

By JOHN MACKEY

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”
—Margaret Thatcher

With a projected $1.8 trillion deficit for 2009, several trillions more in deficits projected over the next decade, and with both Medicare and Social Security entitlement spending about to ratchet up several notches over the next 15 years as Baby Boomers become eligible for both, we are rapidly running out of other people’s money. These deficits are simply not sustainable. They are either going to result in unprecedented new taxes and inflation, or they will bankrupt us.

While we clearly need health-care reform, the last thing our country needs is a massive new health-care entitlement that will create hundreds of billions of dollars of new unfunded deficits and move us much closer to a government takeover of our health-care system. Instead, we should be trying to achieve reforms by moving in the opposite direction—toward less government control and more individual empowerment. Here are eight reforms that would greatly lower the cost of health care for everyone:

• Remove the legal obstacles that slow the creation of high-deductible health insurance plans and health savings accounts (HSAs). The combination of high-deductible health insurance and HSAs is one solution that could solve many of our health-care problems. For example, Whole Foods Market pays 100% of the premiums for all our team members who work 30 hours or more per week (about 89% of all team members) for our high-deductible health-insurance plan. We also provide up to $1,800 per year in additional health-care dollars through deposits into employees’ Personal Wellness Accounts to spend as they choose on their own health and wellness.
Money not spent in one year rolls over to the next and grows over time. Our team members therefore spend their own health-care dollars until the annual deductible is covered (about $2,500) and the insurance plan kicks in. This creates incentives to spend the first $2,500 more carefully. Our plan’s costs are much lower than typical health insurance, while providing a very high degree of worker satisfaction.

• Equalize the tax laws so that that employer-provided health insurance and individually owned health insurance have the same tax benefits. Now employer health insurance benefits are fully tax deductible, but individual health insurance is not. This is unfair.

• Repeal all state laws which prevent insurance companies from competing across state lines. We should all have the legal right to purchase health insurance from any insurance company in any state and we should be able use that insurance wherever we live. Health insurance should be portable.

• Repeal government mandates regarding what insurance companies must cover. These mandates have increased the cost of health insurance by billions of dollars. What is insured and what is not insured should be determined by individual customer preferences and not through special-interest lobbying.

• Enact tort reform to end the ruinous lawsuits that force doctors to pay insurance costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. These costs are passed back to us through much higher prices for health care.

• Make costs transparent so that consumers understand what health-care treatments cost. How many people know the total cost of their last doctor’s visit and how that total breaks down? What other goods or services do we buy without knowing how much they will cost us?

• Enact Medicare reform. We need to face up to the actuarial fact that Medicare is heading towards bankruptcy and enact reforms that create greater patient empowerment, choice and responsibility.

• Finally, revise tax forms to make it easier for individuals to make a voluntary, tax-deductible donation to help the millions of people who have no insurance and aren’t covered by Medicare, Medicaid or the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.
Many promoters of health-care reform believe that people have an intrinsic ethical right to health care—to equal access to doctors, medicines and hospitals. While all of us empathize with those who are sick, how can we say that all people have more of an intrinsic right to health care than they have to food or shelter?
Health care is a service that we all need, but just like food and shelter it is best provided through voluntary and mutually beneficial market exchanges. A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter. That’s because there isn’t any. This “right” has never existed in America~

Even in countries like Canada and the U.K., there is no intrinsic right to health care. Rather, citizens in these countries are told by government bureaucrats what health-care treatments they are eligible to receive and when they can receive them. All countries with socialized medicine ration health care by forcing their citizens to wait in lines to receive scarce treatments.

Although Canada has a population smaller than California, 830,000 Canadians are currently waiting to be admitted to a hospital or to get treatment, according to a report last month in Investor’s Business Daily. In England, the waiting list is 1.8 million.

At Whole Foods we allow our team members to vote on what benefits they most want the company to fund. Our Canadian and British employees express their benefit preferences very clearly—they want supplemental health-care dollars that they can control and spend themselves without permission from their governments. Why would they want such additional health-care benefit dollars if they already have an “intrinsic right to health care”? The answer is clear—no such right truly exists in either Canada or the U.K.—or in any other country.

Rather than increase government spending and control, we need to address the root causes of poor health. This begins with the realization that every American adult is responsible for his or her own health.

Unfortunately many of our health-care problems are self-inflicted: two-thirds of Americans are now overweight and one-third are obese. Most of the diseases that kill us and account for about 70% of all health-care spending—heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes and obesity—are mostly preventable through proper diet, exercise, not smoking, minimal alcohol consumption and other healthy lifestyle choices.

Recent scientific and medical evidence shows that a diet consisting of foods that are plant-based, nutrient dense and low-fat will help prevent and often reverse most degenerative diseases that kill us and are expensive to treat. We should be able to live largely disease-free lives until we are well into our 90s and even past 100 years of age.

Health-care reform is very important. Whatever reforms are enacted it is essential that they be financially responsible, and that we have the freedom to choose doctors and the health-care services that best suit our own unique set of lifestyle choices. We are all responsible for our own lives and our own health. We should take that responsibility very seriously and use our freedom to make wise lifestyle choices that will protect our health. Doing so will enrich our lives and will help create a vibrant and sustainable American society.

In response, some left-wing group called Meetup.com is organizing boycotts and pickets at Whole Foods locations. There is one scheduled August 16 in Austin, Texas.

Here is their blurb:
——————————————————————————–

“Whole Foods is NOT a company that cares for communities and they have built their brand with the dollars of deceived progressives. No more. My $ will no longer go to support Whole Foods’ anti-union, anti-health insurance reform, right-wing activities.

John Mackey, CEO and co-founder of Whole Foods wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on 8/12/2009 quoting Margaret Thatcher and suggesting that healthcare is a commodity that only the rich, like him, deserve.

Whole Foods has the right to cheat and lie and be as hateful and selfish as they wanna be.
We also have the right to starve them of our $.”

Here is Whole Food’s response:

Whole Foods Market: Response Statement: John Mackey’s Op/Ed in the Wall Street Journal

http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=120455171970

“We would like to thank our customers and shareholders who have let us know their thoughts regarding John Mackey’s op/ed in the Wall Street Journal. Many people, including John, feel passionately about this important issue.

First off, whether you agree with John or not, our 50,000+ Team Members who live and work in your communities will continue to work hard every day to bring you the best natural and organic products available. We hope you will continue to give us the opportunity to serve you.

While there are differing points of view on this issue, John believes certain aspects of the current proposals before Congress would jeopardize our company’s ability to continue providing our sustainable health insurance plan. Whole Foods Market pays 100 percent of the premiums for our full-time (over 30-hours) Team Members, about 89% of our workforce. Additionally, those Team Members get to vote for their new plan options every three years. John does not want to see that changed.

Finally, John absolutely does care about his fellow citizens who do not have health insurance, and he is in favor of health care reform. He believes that the proposals he put forth will provide access to sustainable health insurance for more people.

We recognize that there are many opinions on this issue, including inside our own company. As we all sort through this together, we thank you for sharing your opinions with us.”
—————————————————————————

To tell you the truth, I had never heard of this chain nor of Mr Mackey. But I think it would be a great idea to show our support of free speech under the assault of these “progressives” (far-leftists), who want to punish Mackey and his company for expressing his opinion. If you have one of these stores in your area, drop by and buy a few items. We should do the same thing here we did with Trader Joe’s when they were under attack by pro-Palestinian loons for selling Israeli products. We made their sales skyrocket and Israeli goods were flying off the shelves.

Let’s publicize this issue and help out Whole Foods.

*You can send a message to Whole Foods main office telling them you support the free market and free speech: <a href=”http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/company/service.php'>http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/comapny/service.php”>http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/company/service.php</a>

Boycotting Whole Foods

Greta Van Susteran says she would frequent Whole Foods for the principle of Freedom of Speech alone. I don’t know MacKey, but he sounds like kind of a nice guy – I would have -- to go to his grocery store."

Support Whole Foods and Freedom of Speech and shop at Whole Foods to save 50,000 people’s jobs. MacKey pays for medical insurance for all his employees and families including same sex partners. He is not some right-wing zealot and he supports medical reform… Just Not the President’s Program, since when is that a crime?

On Greta Wire: Automatically Generated Transcript (may not be 100% accurate)

"Going to hear this it's on FaceBook. 18000 People on FaceBook are calling for a boycott of the nationwide grocery store chain whole foods. It has to do -- the debate over health care. Now apparently the CEO of Whole Foods who says we do need health care reform, but is not as liberal as some of their progressive clientele. They are just spreading lies. Anchor Brian on Fox Business Network joins Greta. Brian wrote a piece of the Fox Blog entitled: Freedom of Speech is Not So Free for Whole Foods.

"Well you know. The irony of this story Greta is that if John MacKey who's the CEO of Whole Foods who started the company in Austin Texas and has been running it for about thirty years ago had stated his position in the journal at a previous time when we were talking about health -- this would've been considered radical reform. MacKey said we don’t need the president's plan, a government involved plan, but here eight ideas, as a successful CEO that I have. Tort reform, allowing insurers across state lines, self directed ideas, etc, and yet he is being vilified by some of the more liberal followers out there of the president's plan. They are, as you said, waging war against Whole Foods 18000 bullies on FaceBook -- a boycott. FaceBook there's a web page set up. And they're calling him, get this: “a right wing zealot."

"In 2007 MacKey said he had enough money to live comfortably so in 2007 he cut his salary down to one dollar a year. And gives any -- all proceeds from the stock options to charity. That does not sound like a guy who wants to try to stick it to the people when it comes to health -- he said he had a different idea and that was what was in The Wall Street Journal."

"MacKey a self described libertarian, I don't know maybe that is what angered some people not only is really only taking a dollar a year but the company has a 100,000 Dollars -- need based fund for Whole Woods workers that they offer. Domestic partner same sex benefits. Overall this had been considered a relatively progressive company. Now he comes out and says -- The government run plan is not the way to go here are some ideas I have and he is just absolutely -- being slaughtered. On the left side of the Blogosphere. Actually I imagine his reaction is probably confused as confused as yours and minus."

"I don’t even know this guy – or if his ideas are good but -- something to be admired about someone who -- who sees a problem. And says here are a few really good ideas and -- says he thinks are really good ideas. And then for have a few-- having to dare to differ, with a particular segment, they come on to try to kill -- kill a business that hasn't done anything wrong -- employs lots of people. And says, from from what I can read, you know he seems to be a pretty generous guy."

"You know Ira wrote a blog on the Fox Business web site called free speech may not be so free for whole foods they hired 8200 people last year they have 50000 employees. Let's say Greta that this boycott all right gain some traction right; let's say that it does and let's say that it is successful by the protestor’s Definition. And it hurts Whole Foods; who's gonna get hurt? Is John MacKey gonna get hurt? He's got enough money; it’s the workers. The rank and file working at Whole Foods are the ones who are going to get hurt. You made an excellent point in your…

-- Rick Santorum moments ago listening in that. It's not as if you don't want health care reform. It's if you don't necessarily agree with the president's plan. You might be labeled wrong or a bad person.

Katy Abrahm, Average Citizen and Patriot: Now Receiving Threatening and Harassing Calls and Being Accused of Being a Racist…

Hmmm… Judge for yourself. I saw this interview and she was polite, said nothing about race, and just wanted the government to uphold the Constitution and American’s Right and Freedom to Speak and Assemble.

As the Democrats become more and more desperate as the American people are reading and finding out what is really in and behind HR-3200, the straw that may have broken the camel’s back, and both Congressional and Obama’s number’s are dropping daily, the liberal media as well as TEAM OBAMA and Congressional leaders appear to be employing thuggary against the American Citizens, which they represent… through name calling, shills at Obama Town Halls, lies about mobs when it is they who are hiring protestors on Craig’s list and asking Americans to ‘snitch’ on their friends and family, and by attacking people like Nancy Snyder and accusing them of being racists because she is worried about her Country, wants less government and spending control and wants them to uphold the Constitution. This is racist? This is Anti-American? Hmmm… not last time I looked?!?

Remember the outraged citizen in Lebanon, Pennsylvania who took Arlen Specter to task? The one Lawrence O'Donnell served a crap sandwich to? Yeah, that one.
Well, it appears now that she's not the only one to be visited upon by liberal thugs. Earlier outspoken townhall participants have been threatened directly in the middle of the night, but after a few appearances on TV talking about her townhall experience, Katy is getting phone calls in the middle of the night, trying to intimidate her, calling her a racist, and all of the other "courageous" things liberal thugs have employed.

Katy...listen to Judge Napolitano. If you and your husband don't have guns, carry at least cellphone video cameras everywhere you go. You must protect your lives at all cost. And please, please, Katy... whatever you do... do NOT EVER again agree to appear on MSNBC! O'Donnell completely disparaged you, but acted like an ass in doing so, trying to soothe you with false comfort.

If anyone from MSNBC/NBC calls you again for an interview, tell them to shove their invites up their asses. Tell them you prefer interviews with networks that actually have a viewership that is at least equal to the latest "The CW" sketch comedy show.

And never fear - you have PLENTY of patriots willing to stand with you and your family. You have nothing to fear; your fellow Constitutional American patriots will protect you. We got your back.

Nancy Snyder says she kept quiet when abortion was legalized and prayer in schools was eliminated. Not this time. "They did it for prayer, they did it for abortion, and they're not going to do it for our health care," the 70-year-old nurse from Philipsburg, Pa., said Wednesday as she and her husband Robert, 74, a retired coal miner, waited in a long, snaking line for Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter's town hall meeting. "We're not standing back this time," Snyder said. Instead, the Snyders and many Americans like them are adding their voices to a populist backlash evident in the taunts, jeers and rants at lawmakers' health care forums around the country in the past week and a half. The contentious sessions highlight the difficulty for President Barack Obama and the Democrats as they push for a comprehensive remaking of the nation's health care system.

Why is the White House Attacking and Making Fun of Americans?

White House Brushes Off Health-Care Protests

By HENRY J. PULIZZI

WASHINGTON -- The White House isn't concerned that increasingly vocal protests around the country are frustrating its push for health-care legislation.

Briefing reporters Tuesday, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs suggested that the opposition is being organized by a small group seeking to create "manufactured anger."

"I hope people will take a jaundiced eye to what is clearly the AstroTurf nature of so-called grass-roots lobbying," Mr. Gibbs said.

In recent days, administration officials and Democratic members of Congress have been shouted down by angry protesters at town halls in Pennsylvania and Texas, an uproar that could grow when lawmakers return to their districts for the August recess.

Mr. Gibbs compared the protesters with the "Brooks Brothers Brigade" that he said appeared in Florida after the 2000 presidential election.

"I seem to see some commonality in who pops up at some of these things," he said, without elaborating. "You can see quite a bit of similarity between who shows up where."

While protests intensify, the White House also has stepped up its response. It reacted early Tuesday to one online video featuring clips of President Barack Obama appearing to suggest that his health-care plans would eventually replace the private insurance sector, producing its own video shooting down the claim. In the White House's video, its main health-care spokesperson, Linda Douglass, accuses opponents of taking old footage and using it out of context as a scare tactic.

"They simply cherry-pick and put it together, and make it sound like he's saying something that he didn't really say," Ms. Douglass says in the video, which can be seen on the White House's Web site.

Asked why the administration decided to respond, Mr. Gibbs said, "There's a tremendous amount of misinformation floating around on health care."

Two More Grassroots Town Hall Meetings

Dems: Town Hall Protesters Are 'Birthers,' 'Tea Baggers,' and 'Fringe'

The angry-mob style protesters who have infiltrated town halls around the country are the non-organic product of "tea-baggers," "birthers," and the conservative fringe, two Senate Democratic leaders said Tuesday.

Speaking outside the White House after meeting with President Obama, Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois and Chuck Schumer of New York both dismissed the significance of boisterous protesters who have been interrupting Democratic lawmakers' events.

"It is a small fringe group," Schumer told the Huffington Post, "and if we let a small group of people who want to monopolize the conversation and not listen to the facts win, you may as well hang it up."

"These town hall meetings have been orchestrated by the tea baggers and the birthers to just be a free-for-alls, make a lot of noise, go on YouTube and show discord," said Durbin. "I mean that is what they are determined to do. But that is not going to accomplish what we need to accomplish: real health care reform."

The Illinois Democrat was asked later if he was worried that the protests would have the desired effect, namely persuading vulnerable lawmakers to buck the president's health care agenda. He projected calm. "Most of them are grown-ups in politics, and they know that when they look at a crowd and say: 'these folks aren't even from here' ... A handful of folks are determined to disrupt these meetings," Durbin said. "That shouldn't stop us from what most Americans want to see us doing."

The remarks made by the two Senate Democrats reflect the overall message coming from the White House and Democratic Party. Asked during the press briefing on Tuesday whether he thought the town hall protests were fabricated chaos from the insurance and private health care industry, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs responded: "Some of it is, yes."

"In fact I think you have had groups today, Conservatives for Patients Rights, that have bragged about organizing and manufacturing that anger," Gibbs said.

Why is the White House, Democratic Senators and Congressmen and radical liberals making fun of and attacking Americans?? Because they are afraid… afraid of the power of the people if they stand-up and stick together.

Do not let them marginalize you. Main Street and the American Way of Life is under attack like never before.
