ATLAS EXCLUSIVE: OBAMA ORGANIZING IN HIGH SCHOOL

An Atlas reader, Chuck,  has a student in the eleventh grade in an Ohio High School. Her government class passed out this propaganda recruiting paper so students could sign up as interns for Obama's Organizing for America (OFA is the former mybarackobama.com site.)

Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America is (and I quote) recruiting in our high schools to "build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda" ............of national socialism.

The Ohio High School is Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio.

This is incredible. And evil. Suffer the little children -- enlisted like SS youth. This is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it's his own private breeding farm. Once again academic learning  and achievement is hopelessly abandoned, and supplanted by radical leftist activism from the leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators in the perverse public school system.

Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.

Check out the recommended reading list page 4:

  • Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky
  • The New Organizers, Zack Exley
  • Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy, Rinku Sen
  • Obama Field Organizers Plot a Miracle, Zack Exley, Huffington Post
  • Dreams from My Father Chicago Chapters, Barack Hussein Obama

This internship program is geared towards the 2010 elections. Using our kids as their goons. Can you imagine if the Republicans attempted such a fascist stunt?

Remember the children singing heil Obama songs? The Obama youth regiment brigade.

How about being forced to listen to his creepy speech?

During the election he had those freaky kids parades.

And video after video of kids singing brainwashed tunes of Obama praise here and here.

Atlas had The Obama Childrens Book -- illustrations show rainbows, sunbeams and an aura around Obama. Rainbows and moonbeams -- got that?

Then the goosestepping kids for Obama -- a school project. And now this, high school pods for O.

And what will these "interns" be force fed? The mother's milk of the left -- anti-war agitation, anti-capitalism, Marx, Lenin, Ayers, Ellie Lightactivism, LGBT agenda promotion, global warming, pro-jihad, and illegal immigration. For starters.

Sharia trumps Yale's free speech and free speech in general

Last week's column was about something that doesn't exist -- a multi-level strategy to combat the advance of sharia (Islamic law) across the West.

The strategy doesn't exist because there's little understanding that the entrenchment of sharia in the Western zone poses a threat to liberty in the Western zone.

This understanding doesn't exist because the critique of sharia (a legal system best described as sacralized totalitarianism) required to devise a defensive anti-sharia strategy, is not considered possible.

Why not? The main obstacle is, well, the advance of sharia across the West. In other words, we cannot criticize the spread of sharia simply because sharia, or its influence, has spread. (Sharia Law and Islamic teaching are promoted in America and all Western coluntries education and textbooks as truth, while Christianity, Judaism and other religious beliefs are either not mentioned or promoted as theory). Thus, from Norway to New Haven, from BBC to Fox News, the reflex reaction to critical commentary -- even a newspaper page of political cartoons -- is to follow Islamic law and stop it (or try), or just shut up.

That's certainly what Yale University has done, as events beginning in August demonstrate. That's when news broke that Yale and Yale University Press were omitting the Danish Mohammed cartoons (and other Mohammed imagery) from a forthcoming book expressly about the Danish Mohammed cartoons.

This sudden act of censorship, Yale said, was due to fear of Muslim outrage over the Mohammed cartoons again turning into Muslim violence. (Roger Kimball, Stanley Kramer and I have laid out evidence that Yale's censorship was also due to fear of alienating Muslim donors.) This violence, along with general Muslim outrage, has its roots in Islamic legal prohibitions of life imagery, criticism of Mohammed and sarcasm about Islamic law -- all outlawed by the standard Al Ahzar University-approved sharia manual, Reliance of the Traveller, and all tools for the political cartoonist moved to comment on the connection between Mohammed and jihad violence. And why not? Indeed, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, arguably the most influential Islamic cleric in the world, calls Mohammed "an epitome for religious warriors.

The publication of the Danish cartoons forced the question: What is more important to the West -- freedom of speech, or Islamic law masquerading as something Orwellianly known as community harmony? (The concept of community harmony is part of the progressive or radical program of The (deliberate) Dumbing Down of America that includes homogenizing the world and history and intimidating people with the concept of political correctness that began in the 1920’s – 30’s, but has really taken hold during the pas 40 years and is in warp speed in the United States since the election of Barack Obama).

With its censorship of the Mohammed imagery, Yale chose sharia. But that wasn't all. Wearing my hat as vice president of the International Free Press Society (IFPS), I asked Yale's Steven Smith, master of Branford College, one of Yale's 12 residential colleges, if he would be interested in hosting Kurt Westergaard, the most famous of the Danish cartoonists, at a "master's tea" for students. The IFPS was then finalizing Westergaard's U.S. tour long-planned to coincide with the fourth anniversary of the publication of the cartoons on Sept. 30.

Smith agreed and held the event on Oct. 1. And Yale, it seems, will never be the same.

Of course, Yale was already "never the same," something the Westergaard visit further confirmed. If the Western reaction to the Danish Mohammed cartoons exposed the humiliating bargain the West had already made with Islam, trading away freedom of the press in exchange for "community harmony," the Yale reaction to Westergaard's visit following its censorship of the Mohammed cartoons exposed the rotten fruit at the core of American academia: namely, the politically correct drive to censor material "offensive" to multiculturalism mated to the sharia-correct drive to censor material "offensive" to Islam.

Even now, institutional consternation at Yale over Westergaard continues. In the pages of the Yale Daily News, ire is directed at Westergaard's Yale host, Steven Smith, simply for having issued the invitation, as attested by letters from University Chaplain Sharon Kugler and "coordinator of Muslim Life for the University" Omer Bajwa, and even Smith's fellow Yale masters, Davenport College's Richard Schottenfeld and Tanina Rostain. At a panel this week sponsored by the Chaplain's Office and the Yale Muslim Student Association, several Yale professors discussed "what made the cartoons offensive ... and how the West's response heightened tension." (Given the West's near-universal capitulation, I'd like to have heard that last bit.)

The lesson here? Free speech about Islam at Yale is a liability: something to censor, oppose, even remove physically, as symbolized by the administration's decision to bus students to the edge of campus to attend Westergaard's talk. Campus security -- bomb-sniffing dogs, two SWAT teams -- was so extreme it stood as a reproach to critics of Islam, and perhaps as justification for Yale's decision to censor the cartoons in the first place.

Having shrouded free speech in the Islamic veil, Yale stands exposed.

Three Must Read Book Suggestions and Reviews

Here are some must reads suggestions for today's climate, even if you are not generally into politics or reading non-fiction. I would highly recommend them if you have not already read them.  I am reading both Arguing with Idiots right now as well as What Americans Really Want... Really.  And I refer to American Progressivism a lot.

What Americans Really Want...Really

5.0 out of 5 stars Insight into our priorities and desires, September 15, 2009

Review by:  Steve Adams, MA

As the owner of a small business, I'm looking for insight that will help me understand my clients and make decisions that will help my business grow, especially in our current economy. I pre-ordered this book based on the strength of Dr. Luntz' previous book, Words That Work, which offered some great tips on how to communicate more effectively. While he and I are on different sides politically, his new book does not seem to have any party affiliation (the first quote he uses is from JFK!). His writing style is engaging and entertaining, and fairly balanced as well.

I found the chapter on jobs and work ("I Can't Get No Satisfaction") to be the most interesting. Not only does he talk about what workers want from their employers, he also turns the tables and discusses what employers expect from their employees. Putting both in the same context is revealing, highlighting the areas where the two sides are out of synch. The aspects of an employer that Luntz lists as being important to employees are valid when customers look at a company as well.
His analysis of the "2020 Generation" was an eye-opener. The picture Luntz paints is of a large group of consumers who think and act (and react) so differently than their predecessors, so the old way of thinking no longer applies. Luntz' interviews and focus groups sounded like they were painful for the media executives to observe, yet they produced some good advice on how to appeal to this segment.

The chapter on politics was useful, although I might have read it differently than then author intended. I found value by looking at the voters as consumers and government as the product. The "lessons" section at the end of the chapter is as relevant to a business, or to any interpersonal relationship, as it would be to an elected representative.

The old joke is that a consultant is someone who looks at your watch and tells you what time it is. Luntz is effective in this role - to me, his identification of our priorities show what people around me are thinking, which is a valuable lesson to learn.

What Americans Really Want...Really, Frank also gives some common sense solutions to changing the tide and what is wrong in America.

1.  Have Dinner with your family/kids and talk

2.  Take your kids to church... let them see that there is something bigger than themselves and the government.

3.  Check your kids homework at least 3-times a week. Be interested and know what is going on in their school.'

4.  Take at least a 1-week family trip a year with your kids without electronics (for everyone).  No texting, video games or even cell phones, except perhaps one for you for emergencies.

5.  Demand the Truth.  Where were you?  Who were you with...

6.  Make sure your kids are all enrolled in a Team Sport or Scouting.  Learn the values of teamwork, sharing, winning and losing.

Things that used be common sense and common place!

Arguing with Idiots - A Book Review By Jay Taylor of The Patriot Update

Glenn Beck’s new book Arguing with Idiots is quite an amazing book. When you first pick it up you know it is unyielding. It is very solid: coming in at 2 pounds 6 ounces. This is not your typical non-fiction book where the author goes on about various topics. Flipping through it, you immediately notice that it is different—it has more in common with a textbook than with a popular novel. Sure there are topics and chapters, but there are also many practical examples, charts, pictures, graphs, quotes, sidebars, and much, much more.

The book is divided into 12 chapters and also includes a “How to use this book” and “Citations” section. Each of the twelve chapters thoroughly discusses a particular topic that is extremely relevant in today’s political culture. Here’s a brief look at each one:

Chapter 1: In defense of Capitalism – Giving the free market a fair shake
Goes through all of today’s economic arguments with a humorous “Adventures in Capitalism” throughout.

Chapter 2: The Second Amendment – Ammunition to defend your rights
Gives you all the facts to refute every absurd argument to take away your gun rights.

Chapter 3: Education – Readin’, writin’, and futility
All the reasons why the dumbing down of America is occurring.

Chapter 4: America’s Energy Future – Cars, corn, carbon, and controversy
This will quickly become your one stop spot for countering the insanity of environmental wackos.

Chapter 5: Unions – When is America finished paying her dues?
Discusses how the unions have gone too far and really aren’t for workers anymore.

Chapter 6: Illegal Immigration – The Chapter Americans just won’t write
Should be easy enough to understand, since the key word is “illegal,” but Beck spells it out anyway.

Chapter 7: The Nanny State – Saving you from yourself, one right at a time
Shows that the more the government takes care of you, the more your rights are taken away.

Chapter 8: Owning A Home – Waking up from the American dream
Describes why the dream should be earned, not given.

Chapter 9: Economics 101 – Smaller government, bigger wallet
Demonstrates that government is the problem, not the solution.

Chapter 10: U.S. Presidents – A steady progression of progressives
A concise history lesson of the power grab of our commanders in chief.

Chapter 11: Universal Health Care – Why a paper cut may soon be fatal
Gives pages of examples of what government run health care has already done around the world and what it will do here.

Chapter 12: The U.S. Constitution – Lost in translation
Another (much-needed) history lesson containing plenty of examples of where today’s politicians have it wrong.

The bottom line is that this book is going to be a best seller for many weeks. It is informative, well laid out, and extremely fun to read. In fact, it would be easy to mistake the book for lighthearted reading if it wasn’t dealing with such serious issues. The reference material is invaluable and will give you a quick guide to today’s hot topics. Arguing with Idiots is a coffee table book that you’ll want to share with others. Liberals are going to hate it and you can be sure their criticisms will be loud. The volume of an argument doesn’t make it valid though. Be sure to get your own copy so you can see for yourself. You won’t regret it.

American Progressivism

Synopsys:  American Progressivism presents some of the most important essays and speeches from the leading figures of national progressivism. Students and scholars of American political thought and development, American politics, American history, the presidency, Congress, and political parties will find this reader to be an invaluable resource on the characteristics of progressive thought and the role of progressives in the development of the American political tradition.

In today's political climate, this book really is a must read to understand and connect the dots of what is going in our country.  Below is a review of the book in parts that I put together months ago

GLENN: Do you think Barack Obama got this into your kids' schools? I want you to listen to this. This was sent to a watchdog who doesn't want to be identified. We did some research. 7,000 schools and churches and organizations are now playing this across the country. This was played in a school which we won't reveal yet. Watch tonight. I have my reasons. This was played in a school and we got a watchdog who alerted us to it. Now I'm going to play just the audio, but wait until you see. This is what the New York Times says is far better than Al Gore's movie, far better because it's more accessible. Listen to what they're teaching in this little movie.
VOICE: I spent 10 years traveling the world tracking where our stuff comes from and where it goes. And you know what I found out? That is not the whole story. There is a lot missing from this explanation. For one thing, this system looks like it's fine, no problem. But the truth is it's a system in crisis.
PAT: What's the system we're talking about here, by the way?
GLENN: How our stuff how does our stuff get here.
PAT: Yeah. Mostly the capitalist system.
STU: Yes, the capitalist system.
PAT: It's capitalism. She's not saying that, but that's what she's alluding to.
VOICE: And the reason it's a system in crisis is it's a linear system and we live on a finite planet. And you cannot run a linear system on a finite planet indefinitely. Every step along the way this system is interacting with the real world. In real life it's not happening on a blank white page. It's interacting with societies, cultures, economies, the environment. And all along the way it's bumping up against limits. Limits we don't see here because the diagram is incomplete.
GLENN: This is
VOICE: So let's go back through. Let's fill in some of the blanks and see what's missing.
GLENN: This is in schools.
VOICE: Well, one of the most important things that's missing is people. Yes, people. People live and work all along the system.
GLENN: Oh, no.
VOICE: And some people in this system matter a little more than others.
GLENN: Uh oh.
VOICE: Some have a little more say. Who are they? Well, let's start with the government. Now, my friends tell me I should use a tank to symbolize the government, and that's true in many countries and increasingly in our own. That's
GLENN: Stop. I should use a tank. I should use a tank to demonstrate, illustrate our government. And then it turns into a tank. It is the capital and then it turns into a tank. This happens in a lot of countries, and some say more increasingly in our very own.
STU: I was on the way in today and I got run over by a tank.
GLENN: Did you?
STU: It was
PAT: Were those government tanks?
STU: rolling down the street. They were government tanks.
GLENN: Well, maybe I shouldn't give her such a hard time because I think I agree with her that maybe the tank thing is in our future. I mean, for the love of Pete. Are we not, are we not engaging in anti American, anticapitalism propaganda now in our schools? Go ahead.
VOICE: Now more than 50% of our federal tax money is going to the military.
GLENN: Military.
VOICE: Because I told true to the vision and values the government should be of the people, by the people, for the people.
GLENN: Listen to this.
VOICE: It's the government's job to watch out for us, to take care of us. That's their
GLENN: Stop. It is not the job of the government to watch out for us and to take care of us! It is not the government's job. That kind of government leads to a tank and a man on a lonely bridge standing there with his hand up trying to stop the tank. That's a government that takes care of you, watch out for you. Not the American government. That is never the goal of the American government. It never has been. That has been the goal of every despotic government ever created on Earth.
STU: It's not like this is going to 7,000 schools, though. So don't worry about it.
GLENN: Oh, okay, thank you.
VOICE: Job. Then along came the corporation. Now, the reason the corporation looks bigger than the government is that the corporation is bigger than the government. Of the 100 largest economies on Earth now, 51 are corporations. And as the corporation has grown in size and power, we've seen a little change in the government where they're a little more concerned in making sure everything's working out for those guys than for
GLENN: Stop. I actually agree with this part of it. I have no problem with corporations getting big. I have every problem with corporations joining with governments. The rules apply for the government and the corporations and the people alike. Laws are laws. No special favors. No special breaks. I don't care how big you are.
STU: It's a ridiculous premise, though, to say that everything's getting so much easier for businesses these days. And this is not the way we're going.
GLENN: It is. It is. It is much easier if you are the right corporation.
STU: If you are, maybe for certain ones you can make that argument.
GLENN: Yes, the right corporations.
STU: That's not the argument she is making, though, at all.
GLENN: No, uh uh.
STU: I mean, obviously if you are GE, yes, things got a lot easier for you the last nine months.
GLENN: Oh, no, there's nothing that happened like, you know, Barack Obama opening the gateway right to Russia so he could they could have meetings with Vladimir Putin. That didn't well, that happened, but it didn't wasn't tied.
PAT: Nothing to do
GLENN: It happened on the same day that we gave up the missile shield over in Europe and we sold Poland out.
PAT: Pure coincidence.
GLENN: That's a sheer coincidence.
PAT: Stop with your hate.
GLENN: Yeah, I'm sorry, sorry.
VOICE: Okay. So let's see what else is missing from this picture. We'll start with extraction, which is a fancy word for natural resource exploitation, which is a fancy word for trashing the planet.
PAT: Wow. Talk about propaganda.
STU: This is unbelievable, unbelievable.
PAT: Unbelievable.
GLENN: Wait until you see it tonight. Wait until you see it. It's you know what? Can we include a link, please, in our newsletter? If you have the free e mail newsletter at GlennBeck.com, you will get a copy of this and then you also see it tonight. And there is so much to show you about I'm blowing out that, tonight the hour is on propaganda. Tonight the hour is, I'm tying some things together on the blackboard that we started last night. I'm telling you it is going to come fast and furious. This stuff is going to start coming down and raining down on the program fast and furious. You are going to start tying it together. I think last night was a show that a lot of people had, oh, my gosh, an a ha moment where they looked and went... I get it, I get it, I see where it's all leading. I see how it's all being done. You remember when we met six months ago and we were talking and I said, you don't know what's going on. And I was so frustrated because I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't figure it out. Well, some of us, unlike others in the media, have been up almost 24 hours a day at times trying to figure it out. And I got I'm telling you, I know what's happening. I know how to show it to you. I can't show all of it, but I will tell you this: I said last week off air and I'll say today, I know exactly how to stop it, and it certainly is not through force. It certainly is not through guns. It certainly is not it is with the truth. And I know what the truth is and I know where to snag em. And just, by the way, my brakes work fine and I'm not suicidal.

Linda Harsh of the The Evergreen Freedom Foundation Rebutting School Propaganda Films

This is what all this liberal indoctrination and watering down of the curriculum has done for us… Interview with University Students from Berkeley University.

One of the scariest parts of this entire situation is that many of the teachers teaching your children and grandchildren, America’s future, are already products of years indoctrination and dumbed down education themselves… so they don’t even notice that there is a problem with the curriculum the are teaching. Others are liberals indoctrinated by the system. And those that are older, have had a more rounded better education, or more conservative views are often forced into a curriculum they don’t want to teach with threats of punishment or retribution if they do not conform.

It is up to parents to be watchdogs, form parent groups and vote out politicians and school boards who teach and promote values against their beliefs and against the American Way of Life . We have always known that academics tend to be liberal. But it is no longer that they are exposing your children to anti-American rhetoric and thoughts as well as Communist Black Panther Professors at the College and University level like, Angela Davis , when I/we went to college. It is now happening from kindergarten on. Textbooks and our history has been sanitized and rewritten, anti-American rhetoric is being taught regularly in school in all grades, even through worship type songs and programs for President Obama, as people like ex-Weatherman like Bill Ayers have input into academia.

Nearly 20 young children are captured in an online video as they sing songs that overflow with campaign slogans and praise for "Barack Hussein Obama," as they repeatedly chant the president's name and celebrate his accomplishments. CONTINUE READING & WATCH VIDEO ON PATRIOTUPDATE.COM

These types of worshipping songs are taught in countries like Venezuela, North Korea, Iran and once upon a time in Germany…

We can’t sing Christmas Carols in school anymore, but…

Wake-Up America!

WE are given the gifts of fear and common sense, but somehow we, Americans, have stopped using them or listening to ourselves!! When you have immigrants from places like Cuba, Venezuela and Iran telling Americans… “We had to learn to read between the lines and really listen to the words with little access to contrary information, why aren’t you hearing it?” or a little old come up to you at the end of a HC meeting point at the tabooed number on her arm and say “It is happening again”, it is almost past time to wake up!!
