Soros-funded organization charged former Fox News host with 'anti-Semitism'

A George Soros-funded leftist group that describes itself as a Jewish organization last night honored Van Jones at its annual dinner gala.

The Jewish Funds for Justice, or JFFJ, was the driving force behind a campaign to paint former Fox News host Glenn Beck as anti-Semitic after Beck used his show to air a special investigation into Soros.

WND previously found JFFJ is led by individuals associated with communist and socialist groups, the children of Soviet spies and a U.S. socialist organization that seeks to infiltrate the Democratic Party.

The group has been vocal in its support of the Occupy movement.

Together with the Progressive Jewish Alliance, the JFFJ held its annual “Pursuit of Justice” award gala last night. The event took place at the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles and was hosted by comedian Paula Poundstone.

The dinner honored Jones, President Obama’s infamous former “green jobs” czar who resigned after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and called for “resistance” against the U.S.

The gala also honored Steve Rohde, the former president of the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

“Attending this event will be over 500 deeply committed, politically active, highly influential and progressive supporters which ally themselves with social justice issues. Join us!” read the JFFJ invitation.

It was Beck’s Fox News show that helped spotlight Jones’ radicalism, which was first reported by WND and by the New Zeal blog months before Beck took up the issue. The Fox News spotlight eventually led to Jones stepping down.

After Beck’s weeklong special on Soros, the JFFJ in January 2011 delivered a petition with 10,000 signatures to Fox News in protest of the Soros show in which Beck referred to the billionaire as a “puppet master.” JFFJ deemed the show anti-Semitic.

JFFJ also took out full-page ads in several newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal, demanding that Beck be sanctioned.

JFFJ recently had defended the Occupy movement in the face of charges it had taken an anti-Semitic tone, as WND previously exposed.

JFFJ activists also reportedly led high-holiday services last year at New York City, Boston and Los Angeles Occupy sites, including prayers for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The group helped erect sukkot, or customary temporary booths, at Occupy sites during the Feast of Tabernacles.

JFFJ is led by an assortment of radicals.

The group says it is seeking to create a just, fair and compassionate America, with social and economic security for all citizens. The group believes that “by transforming leaders, we are better able to transform society” and “create a more just world.”

The group also promotes “green” jobs, immigration reform and was a champion of Obama’s health-care bill.

JFFJ is funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute.

In 2009, the Open Society provided a $150,000 grant to the JFFJ and its associated group, the Funder’s Collaborative on Youth Organizing.

In 2010, Open Society provided a $200,000 grant to last a period of two years.

JFFJ was founded by Si Khan, who serves on the board of the Rosenberg Fund for Children, which seeks to aid the children of parents the group deems “targeted, progressive activists.”

“We also assist youth who themselves have been targeted as a result of their progressive activities.”

The group was founded by Robert Meeropol, whose parents Ethel and Julius Rosenberg were accused of passing crucial nuclear secrets to the Soviets and executed in 1953.

JFFJ board member Amy Dean, meanwhile, has keynoted a Communist Party event and was involved with a U.S. socialist party.

She keynoted the Chicago Communist Party USA’s 22nd Annual People’s World Banquet last December. At the event, CPUSA labor secretary Scott Marshall deemed Dean’s work visionary and innovative.

Dean reportedly used the address to call for “much more” to be done “to build up the movement to ensure the Obama agenda and progressive change is advanced in Congress.”

In November 2011, Dean keynoted the seventh annual Working Class Media & Democracy Forum in St. Louis, which the New Zeal blog reports was arranged by Communist Party member Tony Pecinovsky.

Dean also was involved with the New Party, a controversial 1990s political party that sought to elect members to public office with the aim of moving the Democratic Party far leftward to ultimately form a new political party with a socialist agenda.

WND previously reported on evidence from the party’s own newsletter listing President Obama a member of the New Party.

Also, Marxist activist Carl Davidson recalled in a 2009 WND email interview that Obama participated in the New Party. He affirmed that Obama’s views overlapped with those of his party.

JFFJ board member Janice Fine was also a New Party leader and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, another socialist group.

JFFJ board member Donna Katzin is a former activist with the Cuba Resource Center.

New Zeal reported she is a donor to the Oakland, Calif.-based Data Center, which itself has close ties to Cuba.

JFFJ’s president and CEO, Simon Greer, previously worked as a labor and community organizer and social change leader for 15 years.

Greer previously wrote that he has had the “privilege of getting to know George Soros.”

“During our conversations, he made it clear that his experience surviving the Holocaust seared a simple but profound truth in his brain,” Greer said.

WND reported JFFJ runs a Selah Leadership Program, which provides community organizing training to local leaders. As of mid-2007, more than 200 leaders from 165 organizations had gone through the program.

Past participants include Heather Booth, founder of the radical Midwest Academy, which teaches the tactics of radical 1960s community organizer Saul Alinsky.

WND was first to report that the Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit on which Barack Obama served as paid director alongside Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, provided money to Midwest Academy.

WND also broke the story that the executive director of Midwest Academy was part of the team that developed and delivered a group of volunteers for Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Another past participant in JFFJ’s training program is Working Families Party Executive Director Dan Cantor.

JFSJ was listed as an endorsing organization of the One Nation rally in Washington, D.C., in October 2010, which was meant to counter Beck’s Washington event in August of that year.

The group has worked with the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR.

“We are proud to be associated with the work of CAIR,” declared Jeffrey Denko, JFSJ’s senior vice president.

Statement by ALEC in Response to the Outpouring of Support in Wake of Intimidation Campaign Against Its Members

(Washington, D.C.) April 12, 2012—Ron Scheberle, Executive Director of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), issued the following statement today in response to the support the organization has received in response to the intimidation campaign against its members:

“Over the last 24 hours, ALEC has been inundated with letters of support from elected officials, community leaders and concerned citizens in response to the intimidation campaign launched by a coalition of extreme liberal activists committed to silencing anyone who disagrees with their agenda.

“I am thankful for the support and want to take this opportunity to remind people what we are facing:

“First, the people now attacking ALEC and its members are the same people who have always pushed for big-government solutions. Our support for free markets and limited government stands in stark contrast to their state-dependent utopia. This is not about one piece of legislation. EPA to property owner: 'Your land is our land'

At the GOP Debate last week the two agencies that got the most votes from the public and the presidential candidates to either get rid or completely or get rid of start over were the EPA and the Department of Education… and the IRS was the 3rd if you put the fair or flat tax systems in place.  Under Obama they’ve all grown and will keep growing.

$40 million in fines pending over plan to build new home

Just imagine. You want to build a home, so you buy a $23,000 piece of land in a residential subdivision in your hometown and get started. The government then tells you to stop, threatens you with $40 million in fines and is not kidding.

That's the case now before the U.S. Supreme Court, with briefs being filed today by the Pacific Legal Foundation on behalf of a Priest Lake, Idaho, family, Chantell and Mike Sackett.

Attorney Damien Schiff, who will be arguing before the high court in the case, said it's simply a case of a government run amok, and it poses a potential threat to perhaps not every landowner across the nation, but untold millions.

The Sacketts, Schiff said, "bought property, and the government in effect has ordered them to treat the property like a public park."

"The EPA has not paid them a dime for that privilege," he said. "The regime we have operating now allows the EPA to take property without having to pay for it, or giving the owners the right to their day in court.""

The case developed when the Sacketts bought a .63-acre parcel of land for $23,000 in a subdivision in their hometown of Priest Lake, Idaho. The land is 500 feet from a lake, had a city water and sewer tap assigned, had no running or standing water and was in the middle of other developed properties.

The couple obtained all of the needed permits for their project and started work. Suddenly, the Environmental Protection Agency showed up on the building site, demanded that the work stop and issued a "compliance order" that the couple remove the fill they had brought in, restore the land to its native condition, plant trees every 10 feet, fence it off and let it sit for three years.

Then they would, for costs estimated at roughly a quarter of a million dollars, be allowed to "request" permission from the government to build on their own land.

Or else, warned the agency, there is the possibility of fines of $37,500 per day – with the total now surpassing $40 million.

Chantell reported she was told by the EPA that if "you're buying a piece of property you should know if it's in wetlands."

"I started to do research. I said, 'So how do I find this piece of property in the wetlands [registry]'? And she said, 'Here's the coordinates.' When I actually pulled up the coordinates, it's not there."

No matter, said the government. Do what we want.

So the Sacketts went to court, only to be told the courts can't address a decision like this, as it's an administrative decision. The couple would have to meet the demands of the "compliance order" and pay the $250,000 to apply for a building permit, then challenge the eventual decision.

Or they could expose themselves to $37,500 per day in fines by refusing to cooperate.

The "taking" of their private property without due process now is the focus on the high court's hearings.

The brief explains that the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requires that "no person shall be … deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law." But the Clean Water Act gives the EPA authority to issue compliance orders, then fine defendants who are "in violation."

"Any citizen engaged in a range of activities may run afoul of the act," the brief explains. "The Clean Water Act's reach is extremely broad, requiring a permit for the discharge of 'pollutants' from a 'point source' into the 'waters of the United States,' which phrase has been interpreted by regulation to include 'wetlands.'"

The regulations, the brief contends, had been defined so broadly by the EPA that they have pertained to "land that appears to be totally dry."

"If the EPA has completed an analysis and made a determination that the property contains jurisdictional 'wetlands,' the citizen has no right to judicial review of that analysis. If the citizen hires professionals to conduct a 'wetlands' determination, EPA is not obligated to accept it. Despite any evidence, professional opinions, or agency advice the citizen obtains, EPA may still impose sanctions by a compliance order if it has 'any information' that" it wants to use to call it wetlands, the brief explains.

Further, the "compliance order" also demands that the private property owners give the EPA full access not only to the lands but to their private records about what is done to the land.

"Given that the order is not based on probable cause, it withdraws the Sacketts' constitutional right to be free of unreasonable searches by requiring them to grant access to 'all records and documentation related to the conditions at the site and th restoration activities conducted pursuant to this order.'"

The EPA ordered the planting of specific trees and shrubs and then demanded that the land "be fenced for the first three growing seasons."

"Monitoring of vegetation on the restored site for survival and ground coverage shall be performed in October 2008, June 2009, October 2009, and October 2010," it ordered.

"The very existence of the order, subjecting the property to a federal mandate, prohibiting the intended, authorized use, and requiring expensive remedial actions, substantially reduces the value of the property and limits the Sacketts' ability to [use] it," the brief said.

"Although there has been no judicial decision to establish EPA's jurisdiction and authority to impose these deprivations, the compliance order threatens the Sackets with various 'sanctions.'"

The couple's eventual lawsuit claimed the EPA does not have jurisdiction and the order violates their due process and other constitutional rights.

"The second claim turns on the basic principle that, before a person can be deprived of liberty or property, he is entitled to a full and fair hearing 'at a meaningful time and in a meaningful manner,'" the brief argues. "The third claim is based on the related principle that a person cannot be punished for conduct that violates an 'impermissibly vague' law."

The district court rejected their case, as did the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

"The court created a constitutional problem by reading the Clean Water Act to preclude judicial review of the compliance order," said the brief. "The court acknowledged both that the Clean Water Act's express language does not mandate the interpretation it ultimately adopted … and that courts should avoid statutory interpretations that raise serious constitutional questions," the brief said.

"The court never considered whether contrary inferences might support the conclusion that Congress did intend for individuals like the Sacketts to obtain review under the APA. Similarly, the court never considered whether the nature of the compliance order itself supports review."

Additionally, it's an order issued without probable cause and "the process that produces the order is entirely secret, with no notice given to property owners like the Sacketts."

"In sum, the compliance order has deprived the Sacketts of the only economically viable use of their property permitted under local law, deprived them of their right to exclude unwanted persons from their property, and deprived them of their right to be free from unreasonable searches of their property and effects. The Sacketts have never received any review, let alone meaningful review, of the compliance order," the brief argued.

Schiff earlier told WND the significant property rights and due process issues need to be resolved.

"When the government seizes control of your land, and you disagree with the justification, shouldn't you be allowed your day in court? Just as important, should EPA be a law unto itself, without meaningful accountability to the courts and the Constitution?" he said.

"We're very encouraged that the Supreme Court has recognized how important our case is," said Mike Sackett in a statement released earlier by the foundation. "We are standing up against an agency that seems to have unlimited resources and few if any limits on what it can do to property owners. We're standing up for everyone's right to go to court when the government hands you a raw deal– or takes over your hard-earned property. Thank goodness PLF has been helping us, and now PLF will be making our case in the nation's highest court."

Schiff told WND earlier that there is "no question that the power the EPA is claiming it has under the Clean Water Act is significant."

"Even if you have a good basis the think the EPA is wrong, the EPA won't let you get into the courthouse," he said. "They are able to shut the courthouse door by issuing compliance orders that are not judicially reviewable."

That puts a landowner in the impossible situation of either complying with the order with its potential cost of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars or facing that same penalty in fines.

And it's not just the Sacketts' land that could be subject to such orders. The foundation arguments suggest that private property across the nation could be at risk.

EPAofficials have declined WND requests for comment. They referred WND to a Department of Justice office, which did not respond.

The legal team noted that between 1980 and 2001, the EPA issued up to 3,000 compliance orders every year across the nation.

"The reality of the Sacketts' situation is that they have been unambiguously commanded by their government not to complete their home-building project, to take expensive measures to undo the improvements that they have made to their land, and to maintain their land essentially as a public park until the property is 'restored' to the satisfaction of the EPA. They have been threatened with frightening penalties if they do not immediately obey; but they have been refused the prompt hearing they should have received as a matter of right in any court," Pacific Legal argue

After weeks of asking the White House to answer questions on the radical background and beliefs of Obama's Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, they STILL have not responded. Probably with good reason because the guy is a radical Marxist and has latched on to the Green jobs movement in order to achieve 'social justice.' Take a look at this video from waaaaaay back in 2009 where he says:

GLENN: From high above Times Square, this is the third most listened to show in all of America. Hello, you sick twisted freak. I want to take another look with some new audio now that I swear to you I cannot believe that there is no one in this country that is willing to take on this audio, that is willing to ask the tough questions. In the last few days George Soros and the left have been trying to scrub this guy's image clean to the point where they are actually now claiming that he has totally transformed from communist into raging capitalist. All of a sudden he's a combination of Bill Gates and J. Paul Getty. He's main streamed now. The perfect young go getting entrepreneur to kick job creation into high gear. All he wants to do is create green jobs, right? That's like saying Sonia Sotomayor just wants to make the best decision based on the law. Then what's all this social justice thing? It has nothing to do with the laws. It has nothing to do with the Constitution. It's about social justice. Could the same thing be said about the green jobs? Because that's all he wants to do, remember, just create new green jobs. "Well, I hate to intrude with the facts here." But let's listen to Van Jones' own words. Granted, we do have to go way, way, way back. I mean, I don't even know how old Barack Obama was when this event happened. It was clear way back, time machine before April. Yes, yes. We have to go all the way back into the past to March, to the Power Shift '09 conference. Just before Van Jones was appointed as our president's special advisor, someone that would advise the president of the United States on how to create green jobs, just before that appointment he said this:

VAN JONES: This movement is deeper than a solar panel. Deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system. We're going to change the whole thing. We're not going to put a new battery in a broken system. We want a new system. We want a new system.

GLENN: We want a new system. We want a new system. A new system of what? He says he's talking about more than just solar panels. What are you talking about, wind energy? New system of what? Well, let's listen to the entire context of this statement. He is saying that this cannot be only about new forms of energy. Listen carefully, America.

VAN JONES: All we do is take out the dirty power system, the dirty power generation in a system and just replace it with some clean stuff, put a solar panel on top of this system. We don't deal with how we are consuming water, we don't deal with how we're treating our other sister and other brothers' species, we don't deal with toxins, we don't deal with the way we treat each other, if that's not a part of this movement, let me tell you what you'll have. This is all you'll have. You'll have solar powered bulldozers, solar powered buzz saws, and biofuel bombers and we'll be fighting wars over lithium for the batteries instead of oil for the engines and we'll still have a dead planet. This movement is deeper than a solar panel, deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system.

GLENN: When will America wake up? The left has started a revolution. No different than Hugo Chavez. When Hugo Chavez was elected, he was elected by Democratic process. But he did not tell the people when he was running that he was a communist. Can we stop claiming that this man, Van Jones, is an average everyday capitalist America, an American? Is that I mean, did that sound like you, Iowa? Did that sound like you, Nebraska? Did it sound like you, Texas? Did it sound like you, Florida, Georgia, Maryland? Did it sound like you, New Hampshire? It sure sounds like Berkeley, California, San Francisco, California, and now Washington, D.C. We must start having the necessary critical discussion of, do we want communists, radicals, revolutionaries in the United States government as special advisors to the president of the United States? Do we even want communists to have lunch with our president? I wasn't comfortable with Putin having lunch with Barack Obama. We had to do that. Barack Obama did not campaign openly on changing the whole system, or did he? Five days before the election this now tells us much.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.

GLENN: Are we changing the whole system? Very few Americans paid attention then. Are you paying attention now?

You know, I don't want to believe these things about our president. I didn't want to believe the things that I believed about George W. Bush, that he was in bed with gigantic global corporations, that he was harming our security by keeping our border on the south open for some God only knows reason. I didn't want to believe those things. I certainly didn't want to say those things. Those things hurt me financially. Those things hurt me to say. It hurt me in business; it hurts me as an American. Now I'm saying very similar things except the stakes have been raised. If our founding principles are somehow or another no longer relevant, if the system in which this country was founded is somehow unjust or unworkable now and communism, Marxism, socialism is the right and relevant path, then that is the discussion in a republic we have. But to subversively bring in a new system through the back door in the middle of the night and build it piece by piece by overwhelming the system, that is not acceptable. But this goes farther than whether Van Jones is a capitalist or a communist. Listen to what Van Jones said at this same conference.

GLENN: We owe them a debt. Remember when I told you that Barack Obama said that reparations he's against because they don't go far enough. We owe them a debt. Does that rhetoric sound familiar to anyone? Have you heard that before?

REVEREND WRIGHT: We believe God sanctioned the rape and robbery of an entire continent. We believe God ordained African slavery. We believe God makes Europeans superior to Africans and superior to everybody else.

GLENN: Is this Marxism? Is this socialism? Is this racism? Is this freedom of speech? Is this mainstream? What is this, America? History, our children, our grandchildren will demand an answer! No answer is not good enough! You will have to answer. If we lose man's freedom, you will have to answer at the foot of God. You will at least have to answer at the feet of your grandchildren. No answer, putting your head in the sand is no longer good enough. You must pay attention and you must demand an answer! That didn't sound familiar to you, those two things didn't sound alike to you? GLENN: Where do you even begin on that? The wrong agricultural system. Now, this is from an interview he did as the head of the Ella Baker Center.
VAN JONES: The white polluters and the white environmentals are essentially steering poison into the people of colored communities.

GLENN: Have you heard this any has the president ever been around anyone who has ever said anything like that before Van Jones?

REVEREND WRIGHT: The government lied about the Tuskegee experiment. They purposely infected African American men with syphilis.

GLENN: The president of the United States has tried to pass himself off as a guy who just sat in Jeremiah Wright's Black Liberation Theology church for 20 years. A friend. He's like an old uncle. He didn't even notice. He baptized Barack Obama's children. He baptized Barack Obama, but he never heard these things before. And even if he did hear them, he didn't really even notice. Okay, so that's the explanation for the crazy uncle. What is the explanation this time? What is the excuse this time for appointing the same type of radical, saying almost damn exact same words as Jeremiah Wright to an influential position in our government? Is it that you didn't vet these people?

Because gee, that sounds like a problem, that our president of the United States didn't vet him enough to know. Is it that the FBI didn't do its job? I mean, we found all of this stuff. Sure, I only have a staff of seven producing books, TV, radio shows, I only have a staff of seven. And all of a sudden we can come up with these things. Gee, you'd think the FBI or the president of the United States would surely be able to find these things.

When I asked the White House to answer, did you know of his radical past, the White House issued a statement. Their response was the green jobs special advisor is very narrowly focused on creating green jobs. As if that was an answer to the question of why this guy is in our government, anywhere near our president. It's not an answer. It's not an answer. And this one's not your crazy uncle. And this one's not way, way, way, way back in the past.

When let me rephrase this. How. How, America. I ask this sincerely. Show me where I have it wrong. I want to be wrong, but I can't find any other way to explain this. The president is wearing a mask. He has surrounded himself with radicals and revolutionaries. He has surrounded himself his whole life with radicals and revolutionaries. How? How? Please, help me. Read it another way. Show me the error of my ways. If you can't do that, show me how I can get this word out to more people. How do we wake people up? How do we wake Democrats up? Democrats, is that who you are? Are you this person? Do you believe those things? If you do, we're in much bigger trouble than I thought. I don't believe that's who the American people are. There are Democrats that I vehemently disagree with. I don't believe they think those things. He's not the only guy in this administration that feels this way!
Look, I know this is the hard truth. I don't want to believe them, either. But these statements from Van Jones are from this last spring. I have more that I'm not prepared to release yet because it paints even a bigger, more terrifying picture, and I'm not going to release them until I can fill in all of the dots on this picture. But why am I the only one bringing you this? Why will no one bring this information? The answers that I can come up with, either they are afraid and I understand that or because they think it just doesn't matter. Am I the only American, just you and me? Is it just us? Are we the only one left that think that this might be important, the guy who is creating the green jobs is doing it to repay for smallpox blankets?
Let me just leave you one more time with the words of the special advisor to the president of the United States.

VAN JONES: This movement is deeper than a solar panel, deeper than a solar panel. Don't stop there. Don't stop there. No, we're going to change the whole system. We're going to change the whole thing. We're not going to put a new battery in a broken system. We want a new system. We want a new system.

Fairness Doctrine Raises Its Ugly Head Under New FCC “Diversity Czar”

What’s a poor liberal progressive to do when the radio airwaves are dominated by conservative talk and they can’t seem to “get a word in”? Why not diversify it? After Dan Rather got hammered recently for suggesting the news media needs a public handout, now on the horizon is an FCC Diversity Czar calling for private broadcasting companies to fund public broadcasting companies their total operating cost. Matt Cover at CNSNEWS.COM files this report:

(CNSNews.com) - Mark Lloyd, newly appointed Chief Diversity Officer of the Federal Communications Commission, has called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do. Lloyd not only wants the money to come from private companies, he is planning on regulating the content:

“Local public broadcasters and regional and national communications operations should be required to encourage and broadcast diverse views and programs,” wrote Lloyd. “These programs should include coverage of all local, state and federal government meetings, as well as daily news and public issues programming. Lloyd wrote a book back in 2006 that must have caught someone in the Obama administration’s eye titled Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America, published by the University of Illinois Press. Matt Cover explains that “Lloyd wrote Prologue to a Farce while a senior fellow at the liberal Center for American Progress. In that capacity, he co-authored the 2007 report The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio”

The report argued that large corporate broadcasting networks had driven liberals off the radio, and that diversity of ownership would increase diversity of broadcasting voices

Did you catch that? These unfortunate liberals have been “driven” off the radio. Why wait for the liberals to produce a fairness doctrine when you’ve got a Diversity Czar under the White House’s thumb?

Obama has ANOTHER unelected person in a powerful position that will make rules we all have to live with and he reports only to Obama.

This latest of a long line of czars will have the power to assess any radio station 100% of their gross operating expenses if he does not like their content. Further, if any of the talk show hosts say anything he doesn't like, he can refuse to renew that station's license for the following year. He can, at will, give the license to ACORN or any other group or person he chooses.

More communist action from a communist president. Can anyone say "state-run media"?

OK, Bush-haters, where are your Hitlerian signs now? Who is the real Hitler here folks? Do any of you CARE? Are you Obama worshippers so totally enamored with this guy that you can't see who and what he is?

How does Obama rationalize all this power-grabbing, all these take-overs, this entire slide into communism? "I won".

Obama Official Linked to Racially Charged Boycott of Glenn Beck - Updated

A racially charged activist group called “Color of Change” founded by Van Jones, a special advisor to the Obama Administration, is trying to silence popular radio and Fox News personality Glenn Beck by calling for a boycott of Beck’s TV advertisers.

On July 28th, Beck made a comment on the Fox & Friends morning show about Obama’s reaction to the arrest of Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. During the discussion of “Professor-Gate,” Beck connected the President’s past association with Rev. Jeremiah Wright to Obama’s comment that Cambridge police officer, Sgt. James Crowley, acted stupidly. Though Beck acknowledged most of the Obama administration is in fact white, he concluded that the President’s world experience made him a “racist.”

Now “Color of Change” has bullied at least five of Beck’s big advertisers -- SC Johnson, Progressive Insurance, Geico, Procter & Gamble and Nexus Lexis -- to pull their ads from Beck’s national cable program. Jones, the founder of “Color of Change,” was named Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality -- a key administrative post -- this past March.

Putting tax-payer dollars to dubious use, the not-for-profit organization has hired well-heeled Hollywood publicist Ken Sunshine to further instigate the boycott.

America… This is another stealth attempt at the Fairness Doctrine; to control information and decent. This is not an issue of whether you agree with Glenn Beck or conservatives in general. This is a question of the Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Information and the Freedom of the Press.

Do not ever think that if someone that you disagree with is silenced that next time if won’t be you or someone you agree with.

I live in a senior community 55+, just moved here. (For those of you are between 55 and 65, like my husband and I, it is the greatest way to feel young. We are the “kids” on the block and the richness of information of the people around you if you take he time time to listen is amazing!!) We had a meeting here, a couple weeks ago, about healthcare reform (ObamaCare). With less than 2-full days notice we had over 300 people attend and most to them had at least begun to read HR 3200 if not finished it in its entirety… and so have I. The discussion was amazing… We had a combination of 10 still practicing or retired physicians and attorneys in the crowd; and everyone of them was pro reform but absolutely against the present bills. And more than a handful of people in the group volunteered that they had voted for Obama.

At the end of the meeting a little lady, 100-years old, who still drives to the local store, lives alone and had gotten up to read something to the group came up to me and a couple gals who were cleaning up and said, “Thank you for helping to put this together today! And please do not stop standing up. There is something very scary happening in our Country… I know!!” she added as she point to the faded concentration camp number on her arm.

Write and call Rupert Murdoch and Fox News and write to all the advertisers that are being threatened by Obama’s Green Czar to pull their advertisement from Glenn Beck’s show. You are not just fighting for Glenn Beck… you are fighting for freedom of speech, freedom information, freedom of the press… your Country and yourself and your family!!
