Democratic Socialists of America Goes National For Occupy Wall Street

Adding one more to an extensive list of Marxist supporters of Occupy Wall Street, Democratic Socialists of America joined the leftist fray with a page dedicated to the movement today. And why not? They share the goals of chaos and top down, bottom up, inside out that the radical left jointly embraces. They are targeting the young, filling them to the brim with propaganda and then sending them out to their local Occupy Wall Street rallies. An army of useful idiots descends not only on Wall Street, but America as a whole. These are your children, your friends, your neighbors… and they are being sucked into a death trap baited with honeyed phrases of hope and redistributive wealth that in actuality are as poisonous as the apple that struck down Snow White. But this time, there is no prince, just the grim reaper lying in wait to collect as violence, death, hunger and war bloom in America’s streets. Viva la revolucion!

Evidently, the Socialists are here to save the day. Yesterday, I heard about a transaction tax the Democrats are pushing. Guess what the top idea of DSA is? Bingo. Welcome to Conyers HR 870: The Humphrey- Hawkins 21st Century Full Employment and Training Act. Mark my words, this will not create jobs, it will just redistribute more wealth through more taxation and cause more chaos and pain. Which is exactly what DSA and their cohorts want.

DSA is incredibly well-organized and well-funded. And these smooth-talking, slick devils have their game down pat.

Listen to one of DSA’s biggest supporters, Frances Fox Piven of the Cloward and PivenStrategy for destroying America:

Chris Maisano: What have you thought of the protests so far?

Frances Fox Piven: I think they’ve been pretty terrific. And I really am hopeful that it’s the beginning of a new period of social protest in this country. I think a lot about the protest is absolutely on target, it’s so smart. It was so smart to pick Wall Street because Wall Street looms so large not only in the reality of inequality and recession policy, but it looms so large in the minds of people now because everybody knows that they’re stealing the country blind. So they picked the right place, they had somehow — I don’t know how self-consciously, maybe self-consciously — absorbed a kind of lesson from Tahrir Square of staying there, because usually we have demonstrations and marches and parades and things, and they’re over in a nanosecond. And all that the authorities have to do is wait, because they’re gonna be over.

So what they tried to do is take this classical form of the mass rally — they didn’t do it alone, obviously it happened in Egypt too — and connected it with the disruptive potential of mass action because they said “we’re staying.” And “we’re staying” is more troublesome. Not only that, “we’re staying” makes it possible for them to organize and mobilize throughout the course of the action, which is what they do. So that part of it was pretty, pretty smart.

They are smart in being very inclusive. I mean, they’re very happy to include everybody, and they’ve actively reached out to the unions. When has a youthful protest done that in living memory? A very long time since that’s happened. But they knew from the beginning — probably they were helped to learn that from Wisconsin. And they’re so happily counter-cultural, you can’t even get angry at them if you’re a stiff old person! Then you read their statements, I’m sure you do. Well, I do too. And I think they’re very thoughtful for statements issued by a general assembly sitting on the cold cement – they’re very good statements, and they really are statements that include the 99%. So it’s great.

Smart indeed, as the whole idea was cooked up by Marxists like Piven who poured lots of money into coming up with phrasing such as the 99% vs. the 1%. That didn’t just appear out of no where. If was lovingly crafted and staged as all the protests are. It’s an old revolutionary tactic to make things look like they have no organization when they are just the opposite. It’s been used time and again throughout history and now it is being used against America. And none of these dingbats seem to be able to figure out that they are being used. That they are fodder for Marxists who don’t give a damn about them and will cheerfully eliminate them once they have served their purpose. Oh, a purging they will come…

There is no way the Marxists will let this opportunity to ‘remake’ America slide. They hate our form of government, they hate our Constitution and they hate capitalism. Winter may slow them down a bit, but this is Obama’s army of radicals. They won’t stop until they are forced to. DSA is just one face of the an evil hydra leading us into another civil war. Get ready because something wicked indeed this way comes by next spring and summer. Occupy Wall Street and the Marxists behind the curtain have taken the movement national – coming soon to your city or town.

And right on the heels of OWS, look for Van Jones who will be singing a siren’s song that many will fall for. He will try and falsely appear as another Reagan, when in reality what he brings is Communism and revolution. Don’t fall for his words or his promises – among all of them, Van Jones is perhaps the most dangerous of the lot. Whatever you do, stay as far away from Van Jones and these movements as you can get. They will not end well.

The Occupiers’ Siren Song

clip_image001

NY Daily News

Occupy Wall Street is a movement that has been planned and executed by Marxists in America. There may be lots of useful idiots at play in the movement, but nevertheless, if you follow the money and influence, you find the likes of Democratic Socialists of America,ACORN, SEIU, the DNC, the Obama administration, the Working Families Party, the New Party, Tides and of course, that old evil spider, George Soros.

So far, so good, right? Them bad, us good… You can imagine my horror when I heard of how the left was seducing Conservatives and Libertarians to the dark side. Some of the things they say ‘are‘ what we are saying. But as Beck says, watch out who you stand next to. And while you are at it, watch out for their agenda. I fear we will lose many patriots to the Occupy Wall Street movement using the guise of stopping bailouts. Don’t get me wrong… I’m all for ending bailouts. There should never have been any – period. Just not this way. You can’t stand with Marxists and not be tainted by their goals, no matter how noble the cause seems.

Last week, I received word that Oath Keepers was joining Garrett John LoPorto and the Wayseer movement. LoPorto heads Occupy Boston. This turns out to not be quite accurate and Oath Keepers claims that LoPorto is only a volunteer. In fact, he has since been removed as even a volunteer. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since I know many loyal patriots who belong to that organization. They had an editor who got carried away after seeing a video and reading a book. It happens – but rest assured, that before anything like that would ever occur at Oath Keepers, there would be a full investigation and a vote on it. These are Constitutionalists and real American patriots. But I would suggest that they stay far, far away from Occupy Boston if they can. Marxists of a feather flock together and recruit heavily from the masses.

Oath Keepers is not who I am referring to specifically here. I’m referring to rank and file Americans who are hurting. Who have lost their jobs and have been unemployed for a long, long time. People who can’t figure out how they are going to feed their children and themselves much less where the rent/mortgage is going to come from. If you were scared, hungry and desperate, you’d be angry too. And many are being seduced by the Occupiers’ siren song of: ‘Get ‘em!‘ But the call is a death trap that will crush America on the rocks.

Yes, there are evil banks. But you know who was behind the latest atrocity of Bank of America putting a $5 fee on debit card usage and Citibank leveling a $15 fee on their debit card users? Why, the Progressive yelling the loudest from the Senate floor of course: Tricky Dickey Durbin. The guy who added an amendment to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform bill that caused the banks to have to add these fees. The banks warned it would happen and it is always middle America who pays in the end. Always. And he did it because he can’t be held liable for speaking from the Senate floor and causing harm to Bank of America if it causes a run on the bank. Thanks Dick.

Yes, there are evil corporations and evil rich guys like George Soros. There always have been and always will be. But by and large, big companies and the wealthy are what create jobs and prosperity in this country. Without them, you have no America. You have Russia.

So instead of protesting the banks, corporations and feeding the ‘eat the rich‘ mantra, Americans should look to the Fed and to the White House and DC. This is where protests and anger should be leveled. Not through a Socialist/Marxist lens that focuses on wealth redistribution and something for nothing schemes. Instead of living in the freest nation on earth and having the chance for anyone to succeed, regardless of race, age, religion, sex or political bent, everyone will equally live in poverty and slavery and the elite will rule over us. That is what Occupy Wall Street accomplishes. It doesn’t address the burdens this nation is struggling under, it advances our demise at warp speed.

Here is the breakdown of the connections behind Occupy Wall Street and those who created the movement from The Blaze:

· The Working Families Party was established in the 90s by key members of the socialist organizations The New Party, ACORN, SEIU, and a coalition of other labor unions and community organizations.

· Patrick Gaspard, the current executive director of the DNC, former director of Obama’s Office of Political Affairs, was an organizer for the New Party, the executive vice president of the SEIU Local 1199, political director for Bertha Lewis (the former president of ACORN) and a co-chair of the Working Families Party.

· The New Party is a socialist political coalition co-founded in 1992 by academic and political activist Joel Rogers.

· The first strategic meetings to plan the New Party were held in Joel Rogers’ Madison, Wisconsin home; Wade Rathke, ACORN and SEIU founder and Gerry Hudson from Democratic Socialists of America and SEIU were in attendance at those meetings.

· The New Party’s influential Chicago chapter began to form in January of 1995. Its members consisted mainly of individuals from ACORN, SEIU and the Democratic Socialists of America. Obama attended a New Party function and received their endorsement in 1995.

· In 1994, a New Party newspaper listed more than 100 activists “who are building the NP;” some names among the list of 100 were Noam Chomsky, Frances Fox Piven,Wade Rathke, Cornel West, Jon Barton of SEIU, Maude Hurd of ACORN and Margaret Shelleda of SEIU.

· Gerry Hudson, SEIU Executive Vice President and original New Party member, serves on the board of the Apollo Alliance organized by Joel Rogers’ group COWS Center on Wisconsin Strategy. The Alliance is a project of the Tides Center. Harry Reid credited the Apollo Alliance with helping to write the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

· George SorosOpen Society Institute is a major source of money behind the Apollo Alliance and the Tides Foundation.

One more, Jim Wallis is out there supporting, organizing and recruiting for the movement, claiming that occupiers stand with Jesus. All I can say to Wallis is, ‘beware false prophets.’

Those are the players and they are behind the Occupy Wall Street movement. They will lure as many in as possible before the door slams shut. They’ll lure Americans in with soothing words and false friendship and camaraderie. But, it is a trap – top down, bottom up, inside out. They want people to be so desperate that they will plead for the government to come in and take over. You might get a little food and a roof over your head, but you will end your days as a slave. If you are going to fight, make it for all the marbles. Make it count and keep your freedom. Don’t answer the occupiers’ siren song.

Organizer admits to paying ‘Occupy DC’ protesters (Video)

A liberal organizer told the Daily Caller on Thursday afternoon that he paid some Hispanics to attend “Occupy DC” protests happening in the nation’s capital.

TheDC attended the protest event, an expansion of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement that began in New York City. Some aspects of the protest, it turned out, are more Astroturf than grassroots.

One group of about ten Hispanic protesters marched behind a Caucasian individual from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting rent control in Washington, D.C.

Asked why they were there, some Hispanic protesters holding up English protest signs could not articulate what their signs said.

Interviewed in Spanish, the protesters told conflicting stories about how their group was organized. Some said it was organized at their church, and that they were there as volunteers. Others, however, referred to the man from the DC Tenants Advocacy Coalition — the only Caucasian in the group — as their “boss.”

TheDC asked that organizer whether he was paying the group to attend the protest, and he conceded that some protesters “aren’t” volunteers.

“Some of them are volunteers. Some of them aren’t,” he explained. “I can’t identify them. I’m not going to get into an identification game.”

See Video at The Daily Caller

These protests are being staged and funded… all over the United States. They are astroturf not grassroots movements, like the tea party, and they are backed by the far far left promoting violence and revolution.

Wall Street protesters accuse feds, biz of infecting food supply - Obama Says He Supports Them… It is Escalating~

Update: Obama Just Admitted He Sides With The Protestors & They Are Going To Take The Country By Force!

The President  just said the protests will continue unless he gets his way with Congress..
This is f__king insane people
Do you realize what's happening here?
----
When asked about the protests he just said
"the American people will run congress out of town"
"we need to do something bold - something big"

…Godlike Productions

Important: If you have not been paying attention to this… it is time you did!!

Remember Rahm Emanuel's adagenever let a crisis go to waste… or is it more like create one if you need it?!?  Many believe that this entire protest was not only created by the Left but that it was always supported if not encouraged by the administration.   Many believe it is the first step in creating enough chaos to cancel the elections. Others think it is a way of diverting attention and focus from a closer investigation of the Federal Reserve. These theories of a direct tie in to the administration, globalist allies and their minions seems to to be proving correct by Obama’s own words.

I’ve Seen it on Television: Obama Responds to Wall Street Protests

A National Call to Action

Wall Street protesters accuse feds, biz of infecting food supply

The U.S. government and corporations have "poisoned the food supply" and "undermined the farming system," charges the group behind the ongoing Wall Street protests.

The website for the Occupy Wall Street group posted on Saturday what it called its first official declaration of demands.

The document claims "corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments."

The treatise is replete with assorted accusations, including:

  • They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.
  • They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity and continue to give executives exorbitant bonuses.
  • They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one's skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.
  • They have poisoned the food supply through negligence and undermined the farming system through monopolization.
  • They have profited off of the torture, confinement and cruel treatment of countless nonhuman animals, and actively hide these practices.
  • They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.
  • They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.
  • They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.
  • They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

The food supply claim is not unique to the website document.

On Sunday, Jason Mattera, a host on New York's WABC Radio, randomly interviewed a handful of protesters on Wall Street using a roaming reporter, Jill "Flipper" Vitale.

Two of the protesters accused the government of poisoning the food and medicine supplies.

"A Marxist system will be the best thing for all of us in America," one protester told Mattera.

"A system that does not kill people and infect us with the food that they give us," the protesters said. "The food that they feed us with the soybeans that they give to animals. And they are changing our DNA structure."

Another protester, who goes by the name Cuz Joe of Black N Blue Productions, treated the radio audience to a rap song he wrote that including the following lyrics:

Those are the basic necessities/ Chemical concoctions pass off as remedies/ That has been the poisons and toxins designed to control your mind/ So u don't find the real food and that stuff u consume is heading to the landfill.

Who's really behind Wall Street protests?

As the news media struggle to find a unifying theme behind the "Occupy Wall Street" protesters, a closer look at the activists behind the agitation reveals a transformative agenda aimed at assaulting U.S. capitalism.

The Occupy Wall Street movement launched two weeks ago and has been escalating ever since.

Police closed the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday and arrested more than 700 anti-Wall Street protesters for blocking traffic lanes and attempting an unauthorized march across the span.

The protests spread across the U.S., including to Boston, Seattle and Los Angeles. The organizers' exact motivation has until now been sketchy.

The Twitter feed of a group calling itself Take the Square, one of the social media planners behind the Wall Street protests, has been blasting a multitude of messages, including:

  • "Fight market dictatorship."
  • "People of the world rise up!"
  • "We are legion."
  • "Take to the streets."

Organizers have also been calling for rewriting the U.S. Constitution, imposing a "Robin Hood Tax" on most financial transactions worldwide with the goal of taking from the "rich" to give to the "poor" and giving the Federal Reserve permission to regulate interest rates on savings accounts.

The scheme seeks to bring to American streets the "same indignation that has prompted the people of Greece and Spain to occupy streets and squares on a permanent basis, the people of Egypt and Tunisia to overthrow their governments, the people of Iceland to nationalize their bank system and rewrite the constitution."

So reads a call to arms by a group calling itself the General Assembly of New York City.

The group has been asking supporters to participate in a "Day of Rage" that started last month and seeks to escalate into protests across the nation.

The General Assembly of New York City has listed some of the possible goals of the current protests:

  • The imposition of a Robin Hood Tax on all financial transactions: The tax is the brainchild of nongovernmental organizations largely based in the United Kingdom. It calls for a new tax on most goods and services to be implemented globally, regionally or unilaterally by individual nations.
The name of the tax originated in 2008, when Italian treasury minister Giulio Tremonti introduced a windfall tax on the profits of energy companies. Tremonti called the tax a "Robin Hood Tax," stating it was aimed at the "wealthy" with revenue to be used for the benefit of poorer citizens.
A prominent supporter of the Robin Hood Tax is Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University economist who crafted a controversial economic "shock therapy." Sachs is a key member of the Institute for New Economic Thinking, or INET.
Billionaire George Soros is INET's founding sponsor, with the billionaire having provided a reported $25 million over five years to support INET activities.
In April, Sachs keynoted INET's annual meeting, which took place in the mountains of Bretton Woods, N.H., at Mount Washington Hotel, famous for hosting the original Bretton Woods economic agreements drafted in 1944. That conference's goal was to rebuild a post-World War II international monetary system. The April gathering had a similar stated goal – a global economic restructuring.
  • Rebooting the system and rewriting the Constitution: The concept seems to be a reference to a plan to push for a new, "progressive" U.S. Constitution by the year 2020.
WND previously reported at least three White House advisers and officials, including President Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, have ties to the Constitution rewrite effort, which is funded by Soros.
Sunstein has also been pushing for a new socialist-style U.S. bill of rights that, among other things, would constitutionally require the government to offer each citizen a "useful" job in the farms or industries of the nation.
According to Sunstein's new bill of rights, the U.S. government can also intercede to ensure every farmer can sell his product for a good return while the government is granted power to act against "unfair competition" and monopolies in business.
  • Reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act, which sought to enforce more government regulation of the banking industry. Some provisions of the act allowed the Federal Reserve to regulate interest rates in savings accounts.

Wall Street protests to turn violent?

Meanwhile, there are indications the Wall Street protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.

Activists advertised on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a "Day of Rage" on Sept. 17 to begin the "occupation" of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation.

Planners have their own website – USDayofRage.org – which is not specific about the purpose of the "Day of Rage" other than calling for "integrity" to be "restored to our elections."

The site accuses corporations of using "money to act as the voices of millions, while individual citizens, the legitimate voters, are silenced and demoralized by the farce."

Advertisements claimed the protests at Wall Street and nationwide will be "non-violent."

However, the official website provides resources, including videos and detailed written instructions, for protesters to engage in "civil disobedience." The resources provided include instructions on how to resist police arrest and disrupt court hearings.

Similar instructions are provided on the website of an affiliated organization, which calls itself "Occupy Wall Street" and was also involved in planning the Sept. 17 protests.

The use of the term "Day of Rage" recalls the "Days of Rage" organized in the 1960s by the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization co-founded by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, close associates for years of President Obama.

Purple shirt power

In March, ACORN founder Wade Rathke announced what he called "days of rage in 10 cities around JP Morgan Chase." Rathke was president of a Service Employees International Union, or SEIU, local in New Orleans.

The efforts are being organized by Stephen Lerner, an SEIU board member who reportedly visited the Obama White House at least four times. Lerner is considered one of the most capable organizers of the radical left. He recently organized the SEIU's so-called Justice for Janitors campaign.

As part of his planned protests, Lerner called for "a week of civil disobedience, direct action all over the city."

His stated aim is to "destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement."

In an interview about the protests, Lerner outlined his goals: "How do we bring down the stock market? How do we bring down their bonuses? How do we interfere with their ability to, to be rich?"

Forecast for American cities: Confrontation, intimidation?

There are other indications radicals and unions are planning chaos using the current economic crisis.

Last month, WND reported that a slew of extremist organizations, some tied to Obama, are preparing protests to coincide with major NATO and G-8 summits in Chicago next May.

Foreshadowing possible violent confrontations, some of the same radical trainers behind the infamous 1999 Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization have been mobilizing new protest efforts geared toward world summits as well as the current economic crisis.

The NATO and G-8 summits are not the only focus of radical groups. WND reported Heather Booth, director of a Saul Alinsky-style community organizing group, the Midwest Academy, was among the main speakers at the "2011 State Battles Summit" in June at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Booth's husband, Paul, also was a speaker at the union summit. Paul Booth co-founded Midwest Academy in the 1970s.

The four-day summit was organized by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, with participation from the AFL-CIO, the nation's largest union.

An official schedule for the event, obtained by WND, declared: "Our union is under unprecedented attack in every state. Extremist politicians want to weaken us as we head into 2012. Their tactics include budget cuts, layoffs, privatization and the denial of our very collective bargaining rights."

Continued the flyer: "New challenges require new energy and new thinking. We encourage union activists to attend this conference and bring their creative ideas on how to overcome the challenges ahead."

Heather Booth participated in a panel entitled, "Our Message, Alliances and Best Practices."

Another speaker at the union event was John Podesta, who co-chaired President Obama's transition team.

Podesta is president of the Center for American Progress, which is heavily influential in advising the White House. The center is funded by philanthropist George Soros.

Mideast rebellions coming to U.S.?

Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an arm of Booth's Midwest Academy, is part of the Moving Wisconsin Forward movement, one of the main organizers of the major Wisconsin protests in February, as WND first reported.

The protests were in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker's proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.

WND reported at the time speakers at the rallies likened the Wisconsin protests to the ongoing revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa while calling for similar uprisings in the U.S.

And just this past week, former Obama czar Van Jones told MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell that "October is going to be the turning point for the progressive fight back" and referred to the Occupy Wall Street protests as part of a "progressive counterbalance to the tea party."

"You're going to see an 'American Autumn,'" Jones said, "just like we saw the Arab Spring."

'Redistribution of wealth and power'

Obama himself once funded Midwest Academy and has been closely tied to Heather Booth.

Booth has stated building a ''progressive majority'' would help for ''a fair distribution of wealth and power and opportunity."

Her husband Paul is a founder and the former national secretary of Students for a Democratic Society, the radical 1960s anti-war movement from which Ayers' Weather Underground splintered.

In 1999, the Booths' Midwest Academy received $75,000 from the Woods Fund with Obama on its board alongside Ayers, In 2002, with Obama still serving on the Woods Fund, Midwest received another $23,500 for its Young Organizers Development Program.

Midwest describes itself as "one of the nation's oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change."

It later morphed into a national organizing institute for an emerging network of organizations known as Citizen Action.

Discover the Networks describes Midwest as "teach[ing] tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation."

WND first reported the executive director of an activist organization that taught Alinsky's tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation was part of the team that developed volunteers for President Obama's 2008 campaign.

Jackie Kendall, executive director of the Midwest Academy, was on the team that developed and delivered the first Camp Obama training for volunteers aiding Obama's campaign through the 2008 Iowa Caucuses. Camp Obama was a two-to-four day intensive course run in conjunction with Obama's campaign aimed at training volunteers to become activists to help Obama win the presidential election.

Also, in 1998, Obama participated on a panel discussion praising Alinsky alongside Heather Booth, herself a dedicated disciple of Alinsky. The panel discussion followed the opening performance in Chicago of the play "The Love Song of Saul Alinsky," a work described by the Chicago Sun-Times as "bringing to life one of America's greatest community organizers."

Obama participated in the discussion alongside other Alinskyites, including political analyst Aaron Freeman, Don Turner of the Chicago Federation of Labor and Northwestern University history professor Charles Paine.

"Alinsky had so much fire burning within," stated local actor Gary Houston, who portrayed Alinsky in the play. "There was a lot of complexity to him. Yet he was a really cool character."

11 Reasons Why Occupy Wall Street Protesters Are Hypocrites If They Do Not Call For Obama To Resign

The American Dream
Oct 4, 2011

If the Occupy Wall Street protesters truly believed in the things that they are proclaiming, then they would be calling for the immediate resignation of Barack Obama and his entire cabinet. The truth is that the Obama administration is responsible for most of the things that Occupy Wall Street is supposedly complaining about.

If the Occupy Wall Street protesters were intellectually honest, we would see a flood of anti-Obama signs during these demonstrations. But instead we have barely heard a peep of criticism for Obama. In fact, the vast majority of the protesters seem very excited about sending Obama back to the White House in 2012. As will be clearly demonstrated in the rest of this article, this makes the Occupy Wall Street protesters tremendous hypocrites. If Occupy Wall Street wants to have any credibility whatsoever, it needs to call for Barack Obama to resign. Either Occupy Wall Street protesters will call for Barack Obama to be held accountable for his actions, or they are just a bunch of sheep. They cannot preach to us about how principled they are and yet turn a blind eye to everything that Barack Obama has been doing for the past 3 years.

Below I am going to analyze many of the demands that Occupy Wall Street protesters have been making. A lot of them have been directly taken from the formal list of complaints posted on the “official” organizing website of Occupy Wall Street.

As you will see, there are a whole lot of reasons why there “protesters” should be very angry with Barack Obama.
But we all know that nearly all of them will show up to vote for Obama once again in 2012.

Just like so many “true conservatives” apologized for George W. Bush for all those years, now we are seeing those on the left apologize for Barack Obama.

It is truly sickening.

Posted below are 11 reasons why Occupy Wall Street protesters are hypocrites if they do not call for Barack Obama to resign immediately…

#1 Occupy Wall Street says that they are angry that the big Wall Street banks “have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give executives exorbitant bonuses.”

Well, if Barack Obama and John McCain had not aggressively pushed for the Wall Street bailouts back in 2008, they never would have happened. After Obama took office, he rammed through even more bailouts. The reality is that you could easily call Barack Obama “the king of the Wall Street bailouts”.

#2 Occupy Wall Street says that they are angry that the big Wall Street banks “have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them.”

Yet they ignore the fact that 3 of the top 7 donors to Obama’s campaign in 2008 were the very Wall Street banks that the Occupy Wall Street movement is protesting.

Once again, Barack Obama will be taking in huge amounts of money from the wealthy and from big Wall Street banks for his run in 2012.
So why aren’t they complaining about that?

#3 One of the big themes of the Occupy Wall Street protests is the fact that Wall Street has way too much influence and power over the federal government.

Well, the Obama administration is absolutely packed with ex-executives of giant corporations and big Wall Street banks. Earlier this year, Michael Brenner wrote the following about the current composition of the Obama administration…
Wall Street’s takeover of the Obama administration is now complete.

The mega-banks and their corporate allies control every economic policy position of consequence. Mr. Obama has moved rapidly since the November debacle to install business people where it counts most. Mr.William Daley from JP Morgan Chase as White House Chief of Staff. Mr. Gene Sperling from the Goldman Sachs payroll to be director of the National Economic Council. Eileen Rominger from Goldman Sachs named director of the SEC’s Investment Management division. Even the National Security Advisor, Thomas Donilon, was executive vice president for law and policy at the disgraced Fannie Mae after serving as a corporate lobbyist with O’Melveny & Roberts. The keystone of the business friendly team was put in place on Friday. General Electric Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt will serve as chair of the president’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

#4 Occupy Wall Street says that it is deeply concerned about the rampant corruption in our financial system.

The Federal Reserve is the very heart and soul of our financial system, and yet there has been very little real criticism of the Fed by Occupy Wall Street protesters.

If Occupy Wall Street truly wanted to do something about our financial system they would be calling for the Federal Reserve to be shut down.

But their hero, Barack Obama, actually nominated Ben Bernanke for a second term as Federal Reserve Chairman and Obama continues to support him 100 percent even after a horrible track record of failures that is legendary.

#5 Occupy Wall Street says that it is angry that big corporations “have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.”
This issue alone should be enough for Occupy Wall Street to call for Barack Obama to resign.

The Obama administration has pushed very hard for new “free trade” agreements with Panama, South Korea and Colombia and the Obama administration is currently making the Trans-Pacific Partnership (“the NAFTA of the Pacific“) a very high priority.

The Obama administration has been very aggressively trying to expand the “free trade” policies that are costing us millions of jobs.
In fact, members of the Obama administration run around and openly talk about how there are things that “we don’t want to make in America”.

For example, the following is what U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk recently told Tim Robertson of the Huffington Post about the Obama administration’s attitude toward keeping manufacturing jobs in America…

"Let’s increase our competitiveness"… the reality is about half of our imports, our trade deficit is because of how much oil [we import], so you take that out of the equation, you look at what percentage of it are things that frankly, we don’t want to make in America, you know, cheaper products, low-skill jobs that frankly college kids that are graduating from, you know, UC Cal and Hastings [don't want], but what we do want is to capture those next generation jobs and build on our investments in our young people, our education infrastructure.

Unions should be screaming bloody murder about this.

But instead they are going to line up behind Barack Obama once again in 2012 like good little sheeple.

#6
Occupy Wall Street says that the big health insurance companies “have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.”

Well, as I have written about previously, the health insurance companies helped to write huge portions of Obamacare. Instead of reducing the power of health insurance companies, Obamacare actually gives them more power and will actually increase their profits. The sad truth is that large portions of Obamacare are virtually identical to a bill that was written by the health insurance trade association in 2009. Under Obamacare, our health care costs will go up even faster and the quality of our health care will continue to go down.

#7 Occupy Wall Street says that they are angry because the big banks “have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.”

Occupy Wall Street is correct about this.So where has Barack Obama been on this issue? The reality is that the Obama administration has done very little about the horrific foreclosure abuses that have been going on.

#8 Occupy Wall Street is upset that “our privacy” has been sold “as a commodity.”Well, why aren’t Occupy Wall Street protesters calling out Barack Obama for his horrific track record on civil liberties.

The national security apparatus that George W. Bush set up has been greatly expanded by Barack Obama.

It was the Obama administration that decided that it was necessary for TSA thugs to feel our private parts before we board our flights and it was the Obama administration that decided that TSA “VIPR teams” should run around the country conducting approximately 8,000 “unannounced security screenings” a year at subway stations, bus terminals, ports and highway rest stops.

So where is the outrage?

The truth is that under the Obama administration the United States is becoming more like a totalitarian police state every single day.
Once again, this issue alone should be enough for Occupy Wall Street to demand that Barack Obama should resign.

For much more on how America is turning into a “Big Brother” police state under Obama, please see these articles…

#9 Occupy Wall Street is angry that the United States has “perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.”

Oh really  ?

Under Barack Obama, the U.S. military has been used as the “police of the world” even more than it was under George W. Bush.
Under Obama, the war in Afghanistan was greatly expanded and the U.S. military began bombing the living daylights out of Libya. In addition, under Obama the U.S. military has been conducting air strikes in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

Today, there is a U.S. military base in over half of the countries on the planet and U.S. military spending is more than 7 times larger than the military spending of any other nation on earth.
So if “the left” was angry at George W. Bush for what he did, then why aren’t they filled with rage at Barack Obama for his policies?

#10 Occupy Wall Street is angry that the U.S. has “participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.”
Well, Barack Obama did not shut down Guantanamo Bay as he promised to do.

So where is the accountability?
Under George W. Bush, millions of “evangelical Christians” were cheering for torture.

Today, millions of “liberals” are cheering while the Obama administration conducts “enhanced interrogations” of prisoners and performs “extraordinary renditions” in foreign countries.

If liberals want to complain about “torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas”, it isn’t the Republicans they should be angry at.
Barack Obama is running our foreign policy, and he should be held accountable for what is going on.

#11 Occupy Wall Street is angry because the wealthy are not paying their “fair share” of taxes.

Well, it is undeniable that many big corporations (such as Obama’s good friends over at GE) quite often get away with paying no taxes at all.

But Barack Obama and the Democrats controlled the White House and all of Congress for two whole years.

So why didn’t they “fix” the tax code while they had the chance?
Could it be that they actually like the current system?

The truth is that our current tax system is so flawed, so complex and so full of holes that it needs to be thrown out entirely.

Many big corporations get away with bloody murder under the current tax system, yet nearly all establishment Democrats and nearly all establishment Republicans want to keep the current system of taxation.

In a previous article, I noted some of the big corporations that make a ton of money and yet have paid less than zero in taxes in recent years…

What U.S. corporations are able to get away with is absolutely amazing.

The following figures come directly out of a report by Citizens for Tax Justice. These are combined figures for the tax years 2008, 2009 and 2010.

During those three years, all of the corporations below made a lot of money. Yet all of them paid net taxes that were below zero for those three years combined.

How is that possible? Well, it turns out that instead of paying in taxes to the federal government, they were actually getting money back.

So for these corporations, their rate of taxation was actually below zero.

If you have not seen these before, you are going to have a hard time believing some of these statistics…

*Honeywell*
Profits: $4.9 billion
Taxes: -$34 million
*Fed Ex*
Profits: $3 billion
Taxes: -$23 million
*Wells Fargo*
Profits: $49.37 billion
Taxes: -$681 million
*Boeing*
Profits: $9.7 billion
Taxes: -$178 million
*Verizon*
Profits: $32.5 billion
Taxes: -$951 million
*Dupont*
Profits: $2.1 billion
Taxes -$72 million
*American Electric Power*
Profits: $5.89 billion
Taxes -$545 million
*General Electric*
Profits: $7.7 billion
Taxes: -$4.7 billion

Are you starting to get the picture?

The amazing thing is that GE can get away with all this and still ship thousands upon thousands of good American jobs out of the country.
There is no way that our current tax code can be fixed with a few “tweaks” here and there. Our current tax code is an abomination that should be immediately repealed and flushed down the toilet.

But the Democrats and most Republicans seem to want to keep it around. They like to play their little social engineering games with the tax code, and the current tax code enables their wealthy donors to do quite nicely.

Occupy Wall Street is right to argue that our tax code is fundamentally unjust, and the number one person that they need to point the finger at is Barack Obama.

So can any “liberal” out there actually defend Barack Obama after reading all of this?

Can anyone out there put forth an intellectual argument for why Occupy Wall Street protesters should be supporting Obama?
The truth is that most of the Occupy Wall Street protesters are intellectual hypocrites.

Most of them are so scared that a Republican might win in 2012 that they won’t say anything bad about Obama.

It is the same trap that many Republicans fell into with George W. Bush.

Look, George W. Bush was a nightmare for this country.
Barack Obama is even worse.

If we are not going to be intellectually honest with ourselves, then we might as well tattoo the word “sheeple” on to our foreheads.
If Occupy Wall Street really believes the stuff that they are saying, then they need to call for Barack Obama to resign.
Does anyone disagree?

‘U.S. Day of Rage’ Being Orchestrated for ‘Worldwide Democracy’ (think pseudo-anarchist, neo-Marxist, globalist)

Alert: Anyone Noticing the call for US Day of Rage on September 17th? (vanity)
8/10/11 | 30Moves

I just noticed on Twitter and Facebook that the Left is calling for a US Day of Rage on September 17th.

The Twitter #s are: #USDOR, #occupywallstreet, #revolution

Facebook: Occupy Wall St. or US Day of Rage

They invite people to occupy Wall Street and DC and State Capitals.

Publius is Very Unhappy! Bring your tents! Wall Street belongs to us! Demand the the top 2% pay their fair share!

Lots of tweets but the Facebook pages are low volume.

In addition, there is a group of Muslim activists that are pushing this and in England for the rioters to overthrow the government. -  UK: Islamists call on the Internet to support rioters

My question to them would be: then what?

Gulag Bound

European Revolution

We thought this would be happening, now didn’t we?!?

A movement is suddenly springing up from nowhere (ah-huh) to take on the free enterprise, “capitalist” system. In America, they are especially targeting Wall Street, a place still somewhat constitutionally sovereign to the U.S.A. and not thoroughly controlled yet by authoritarian global collectivism.

That is a Wall Street which has already been damaged by the Cloward-Piven orchestrated mortgage meltdown and stemming from that was assailed by the protorevolutionary Obama-Peloisi-Reid government, which brought boa constrictor regulation — by “reform” with loopholes wide enough to fit Brinks trucks for large and coordinated hedge fund manipulators, and which shielded a Securities & Exchange Commission gone dark from the kinds of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiries that uncovered Bernie Madoff. Cloward-Piven government, indeed.

A “U.S. Day of Rage” is scheduled to start an “Occupy Wall Street” camp-out on “17/9/2011″ (which would denote orchestration by those who use the British means of writing dates). And as with the “Arab Spring,” much of the organizing is being done through social media, especially super-popular Facebook and Twitter.

Immediately upon clicking links, one finds it to be the America-targeting element of a worldwide movement, especially popular by the looks of it, in Old Europe. Again, that is no surprise to those who have looked into the updated mode of Marxist revolution stemming from the Gramsci and Trotsky schools and historically, even the days before Marx and Engels. Revolutionary proponents likes to hide behind the non-American ideal of democracy(as in permanent rule of the proletariat majority, forget about a republic) along with nebulous and mysterious anarchistic labelling.

The term “Day(s) of Rage” is the product of Chicago’s Weathermen, led by Obama workmate Bill Ayers and cohabitants.

This Day of Rage speaks of non-violence, yet plays up the violent terrorism of the current rioting proceeding in Great Britain.

Review: The Debt Ceiling and Economic Crisis Debate Rages On

Obama Warns that the ‘World Is Watching’ As Boehner Says “No Blank Check”

Obama:

Good evening. Tonight, I want to talk about the debate we've been having in Washington over the national debt - a debate that directly affects the lives of all Americans.

For the last decade, we have spent more money than we take in. In the year 2000, the government had a budget surplus. But instead of using it to pay off our debt, the money was spent on trillions of dollars in new tax cuts, while two wars and an expensive prescription drug program were simply added to our nation's credit card.

As a result, the deficit was on track to top $1 trillion the year I took office. To make matters worse, the recession meant that there was less money coming in, and it required us to spend even more - on tax cuts for middle-class families; on unemployment insurance; on aid to states so we could prevent more teachers and firefighters and police officers from being laid off. These emergency steps also added to the deficit.

Now, every family knows that a little credit card debt is manageable. But if we stay on the current path, our growing debt could cost us jobs and do serious damage to the economy. More of our tax dollars will go toward paying off the interest on our loans. Businesses will be less likely to open up shop and hire workers in a country that can't balance its books. (Yet it is Obama and his party who won’t support Cut Cap and Balance whose lynch pin is a balanced budget amendment… so go figure) Interest rates could climb for everyone who borrows money - the homeowner with a mortgage, the student with a college loan, the corner store that wants to expand. And we won't have enough money to make job-creating investments in things like education and infrastructure, or pay for vital programs like Medicare and Medicaid. Per Dick Morris, former Bill Clinton advisor, “No disrespect to the President (or the office) but Obama is lying!  There is enough money to pay the interest on our debt, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, the military and about 100 other things.  The things that wouldn’t get paid are things that most of us don’t care about… or is waste.”

*BTW has anyone noticed that the FAA has been shut down for 4 days now? Has anyone noticed?  Planes are still flying.  Air traffic control and ground control are considered essential, as are safety inspectors.  The impasse has idled about 4000 government workers.  No one wants to see anyone lose their job but the funding for the FAA stopped but the world did not end.  And the world would not end if the TSA was cut back to using just those expensive machines we all paid for and some well-trained dogs and a few profilers.  (See and Hear Rest of Speech Below)

OBAMA SPEECH: TRANSCRIPT | VIDEO

We’d give you the Obama Plan Explained… like below by Rush, but Obama has offered no plan

The closest Obama got to a plan was a Speech suggesting the cutting of $4 Trillion over 10 years… no details and the CBO said they can’t score speeches (which Obama knew).

Boehner:

Good evening. I'm John Boehner. I serve as Speaker of the whole House -- of the members of both parties that you elect. These are difficult times in the life of our nation. Millions are looking for work, have been for some time, and the spending binge going on in Washington is a big part of the reason why.

Before I served in Congress, I ran a small business in Ohio. I was amazed at how different Washington DC operated than every business in America. Where most American business make the hard choices to pay their bills and live within their means, in Washington more spending and more debt is business as usual.

I've got news for Washington - those days are over.

President Obama came to Congress in January and requested business as usual -- yet another routine increase in the national debt limit -- we in the House said 'not so fast.' Here was the president, asking for the largest debt increase in American history, on the heels of the largest spending binge in American history.  (See and Hear Rest of Speech Below)

BOEHNER  SPEECH: TRANSCRIPT | VIDEO

The Boehner Plan Explained
The Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Show Thread, Tuesday, July 26, 2011

The President, in his speech to the nation, urged a 'balanced approach' in the deal to raise the debt ceiling, while the House speaker responded that the GOP's negotiations have been been thwarted by the White House.

The President again delivered a campaign speech yesterday using words that his pollsters told him would appeal to Independents (which are abandoning in droves) and then he went on to his usual routine:  blame Bush, scare seniors and stir the class warfare pot.  Obama’s speech droned on with the usual themes for fifteen minutes and then he asked those uninformed Americans who were listening to his speech, but hadn’t been following the events or just in the MSM, to flood Congressional phones and tell them to find a compromise by Geithners artificially created and ever moving deadline that “He” could sign.

Boehner delivered a concise 5-minute speech that covered all his points, probably the best speech of his career.  He reiterated that the House of Representatives have already come up with 3-plans and passed Cut, Cap and Balance.  The Senate thanks to Harry Reid didn’t allow a debate or due consideration of that bill, but had no bill of their own, until now at the 11th hour.  And the President also had no bill and kept changing the demands on the so-called Grand Plan.  And the craziness that keeps getting thrown around by the Obama and the Democrats that the GOP is not willing to compromise is total insanity.  Raising the debt ceiling again is a huge compromise on the part of the GOP, especially tea party supported and elected freshman.  Boehner even agreed to tax increases as part of the Grand Plan deal between Boehner, Reid and Obama and then Obama kept demanding more, which ended those talks and the deal.

This writer watched, read and listened to everyone’s review and responses to these speeches for hours yesterday into the wee hours of the morning including AB Stoddard, Steve Hayes, Neil Cavuto, Charles Krauthammer, Dick Morris, Sean Hannity, Bob Beckel, Sam Youngman, Senator Tom Coburn, Congressman Jason Chavitz, Senator John Thune, Senator Jon Kyl, David Plouffe, Greta Van Susteren, Rick Klein, Senator Jim DeMint, Senator John Barrasso, Mary Katherine Hamm, Congressman Rob Andrews, Senator Joe Walsh, Bill O’Reilly, Peter Barnes, Senator Lindsey Graham, GOP Candidate Gary Johnson and the list goes on… plus dozens of online sources.  The overall agreement by all is that we need to do something to stop the problem… our ‘spending addiction’.  Raising or not raising the debt ceiling really isn’t the issue.  It was also pretty much agreed that the only way to hold Washington accountable is to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment and although that will take years, we need to start the process now!  49 of the 50 states have a balanced budget amendment.

Senator Tom Coburn, who is part of the Gang of Six who have a proposal on the table, said that the best option out there is the Cut, Cap and Balance Bill that was passed last week by the House of Representatives in a bi-partisan vote, but Harry Reid killed it in the Senate, not allowing a debate.  And of the 3 deals on the table right now, Senator Colburn agrees that Speaker Boehner’s short term fix bill is the best but that they need to keep working on this between now and January 2012 and a Balanced Budget Amendment must be part of the final bill.  We also need tax reform and must attack the entitlement programs.

It was also sadly agreed by almost everyone that Obama has one focus and one focus only and that is the election in 2012 and that is why he wants the Reid deal, which will kick this issue down the road again until after Election 2012, after he hopes and plans to be re-elected.  Everyone else interviewed, Democrats and Republicans, said we need to deal with the issues now!  It was also pointed out that S&P and Moody’s threat to downgrade the U.S. credit must not really be as serious as it has been made out to be or the stock market would not have gone up Monday, internationally and in the U.S.  But if we don’t control our spending and get started on a Balanced Budget Amendment, the issue will explode in 2012; Obama hopes not until after the election.

As Speaker Boehner, Senator Tom Colburn, Senator Jim DeMint, Senator Joe Walsh, Senator Jon Kyl and Senator Thune and Barrasso and Congressman Jason Chavetz all said we must do what is right for the country, not the next election!  And it will be painful for everyone if done right, but not as painful as it will be if we do nothing or wait.  They all also admitted that no one person will get everything they want and that included President Obama.  Americans and especially the federal government, which let us face it is us, will have to tighten their belt and sacrifice even more than they already have to save America for our kids and grandkids. So, we have the right at this point to ask the tough questions (like: how many federal government employees are really needed? How many government agencies have a glut of positions and employees who are overlapping others or are unnecessary to running their agency.  How many whole programs and departments are unnecessary?  Why did everyone on the White House staff just raises?) get honest answers, and then be heard and listened to.

So when you hear craziness like below, your antenna should go up!!

Obama: "It's Tempting to BYPASS Congress and CHANGE THE RULES ON MY OWN" (See Video) These words should make each of us shutter!!  Ever wonder where Obama gets these ideas from?  His socialistic globalist friends, that’s where from, including Bill Clinton: Use the 14th Amendment to raise debt ceiling and deal with the courts later says Democratic Senator who agrees with Clinton that Obama should Usurp Congress’ power and start a constitutional court battle.  See Video What needs to happen if Obama even thinks about this is the start of the impeachment process!!  “Use the 14th Amendment and Deal with the Courts Later” says this old bastard who agrees with Progressive globalist Bill Clinton.

On Monday before Obama and Boehner’s speeches Judge Andrew Napolitano on the Five talked about the fact that Obama or any president does not have the power to cover financial debt, raise the debt ceiling or the power to cover any financial issues or debt by using an Executive Order. Obama quotes the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution as his reference and justification for his threat to execute and sign an Executive Order (EO) to raise the debt ceiling if the Congress does not do what he wants. According to the Constitution under the wise concept of separation of powers, the House of Representatives holds the purse strings and the Congress must initiate and pass any and all bills regarding funding and finances. The President’s only power is negotiation and to veto the bills sent to him. The provisions in the 14th Amendment were written to deal with unique issues caused by the Civil War and the execution of the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. The left keeps distorting the facts and the Constitution and wrongly applies the provisions to allow them to do whatever they want… not what is legal, Constitutional or what the American People want!!

And let us also consider, with the facts at hand, that what we (Americans) want or what America needs is probably ‘not’ raising the debt ceiling.  Kicking the can down the road will only make the pain worse or the problem beyond fixing.  Sounds like a globalist plan to me, opening the door to a new economic world order!

Wake-up and Stand-up America, while you still can!

BREAKING NEWS - GOP Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) Demands Spending 'Cuts of $Trillions!'

Cartoons By Clayton Liotta @DickMorris.Com - Obviously, There Is No Inflation - Click Here!

Cartoon By Clayton Liotta @DickMorris.Com  - Obviously There Is No Inflation

It looks like John Boehner is finally listening to the Tea Party/9.12 Project movement that put him in the office of the Speaker of the House!
In a stunning turn of events, the Ohio Republican has publicly called for "actual cuts and program reforms, not broad deficit or debt targets that punt the tough questions to the future."

Boehner has been under fire from Tea Party & 9.12 Project groups ever since he chose to compromise with the passage of multiple continuing resolutions, then a feeble compromise that cut an effective amount of LESS THAN A BILLION DOLLARS.

Has the Speaker of the House actually heard the grass roots activists who wish to restore America to greatness, or is this just more political rhetoric? Have the new GOP Constitutionalists made themselves heard, or is something else afoot?

Here's the story from Roll Call:
--------

Boehner: Spending Cuts Should Be in Trillions

By John Stanton | May 9, 2011, 6:50 p.m. | Updated: 7:57 p.m.

Speaker John Boehner warned Monday that he won’t agree to raising the debt ceiling unless Democrats and the White House accept spending cuts that exceed the increase in the nation’s debt level.

“Without significant spending cuts and reforms to reduce our debt, there will be no debt limit increase. And the cuts should be greater than the accompanying increase in debt authority the president is given,” the Ohio Republican said in a speech at the Economic Club of New York.

“We should be talking about cuts of trillions, not just billions,” he said. “They should be actual cuts and program reforms, not broad deficit or debt targets that punt the tough questions to the future.”

Boehner’s demand for such large cuts marks a sharp escalation in his rhetorical war with Democrats in advance of talks to increase the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner predicts that the nation will default in early August unless Congress acts.

Boehner also reiterated his opposition to increasing taxes to address the nation’s debt and remained adamant that entitlements stay on the table.

“With the exception of tax hikes, which will destroy jobs, everything is on the table,” Boehner said. “That includes honest conversations about how best to preserve Medicare, because we all know, with millions of baby boomers beginning to retire, the status quo is unsustainable.”

Boehner’s speech could help blunt growing concerns among fiscal conservatives that he will cut a deal with the White House that does not include significant cuts.

He also hammered Democrats’ other economic policies, including the Dodd-Frank financial regulatory overhaul law, which he called “all wrong.”

“There was a financial meltdown in our country, and millions of Americans were hit hard. But Washington’s response was all wrong. We got a banking system that is less competitive, pitting the small community banks like the ones in my district against giant banks that the federal government deems ‘too big to fail,’” Boehner said.

“We got a consolidated banking system with a small number of large firms operating as public utilities,” he added. “We got a lot of new rules that make job creation and investment more difficult. And the government mortgage companies that triggered the whole meltdown went untouched.”

Video: Judge Napolitano on Economy in for GB on 05.09.11

Judge Andrew Napolitano once again fills in for Glenn again, who took a surprise trip to Israel and should return this week. The President’s popularity has soared in the wake of the killing of Osama (or Usama) Bin Laden. Yet behind all of the celebrations, America’s economy is still sputtering. Unemployment has ticked up back north of 9%. The national debt is pushing past 14.3 trillion dollars and the Federal Reserve shows no sign of ending its century long war on the dollar. But that didn’t stop the President from taking a victory lap last week. Now, he plans to ask Congress to borrow another 2.7 trillion dollars.

Glenn decided late last week to make a surprise trip to Israel, and is off radio and TV today to visit the country. He plans to broadcast his radio show tomorrow.

Is Obama's 'Freeze' a Fraud?

Is Obama’s ‘freeze’ a fraud? Is there even a question??

Barack Obama: Too Much Pie

Obama Campaigns Against Spending Freezes

Obama will ask Congress to freeze spending for some domestic programs for three years. "Given Washington Democrats’ unprecedented spending binge, this is like announcing you’re going on a diet after winning a pie-eating contest. Will the budget still double the debt over five years and triple it over 10? That's the bottom line," said Michael Steel, a spokesman for Boehner.

First of all, the spending freeze won't start until 2011. Second, the part of the budget singled out — $447 billion in domestic programs — amounts to one-eighth, of the overall federal budget. The estimated $250 billion in savings over 10 years would be less than 3 percent of the roughly $9 trillion in additional deficits the government is expected to accumulate over that time. And third, it would exempt security related budgets for the Pentagon, foreign aid, the Veterans Administration and Homeland Security, as well as the entitlement programs that make up the biggest and fastest-growing part of the federal budget: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Just for fun, let's flashback to the debates when Obama said, "The problem with a spending freeze is you're using a hatchet where you need a scalpel." Of course, as with most things this president does, it's a "symbolic" move. But his move is certain to further anger liberals in his party and senior Democrats in Congress, who are already upset by the possible collapse of health care legislation and the troop buildup in Afghanistan, among other things. The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder reports that labor and other liberal special interest groups are venting fury at the White House already. It won't do anything to make conservatives like him. Alex Conant: This isn't news. In the budget proposal that President Obama submitted to Congress last year, his budget office already projected actual cuts and freezes in "non-defense" discretionary spending for the next three years. That's in part because of the huge increase in that area of spending that the president requested (and received) for the current fiscal year. To be specific: FY2009 (President Bush's last budget) had $589 billion in non-defense discretionary spending. That number jumped to $687 billion in FY2010 (Obama’s first budget) and then drops to $641 billion in FY2011, $622 billion in FY2012 and $625 billion in FY2013. So for the White House to now boast that it will freeze non-defense discretionary spending is hardly news. If anything, it's backtracking on its earlier plans to actually cut that area of spending.
