Michelle Obama’s Nutritional Finger-Waggling

Amen!! I felt exactly the same way… How dare Michelle Obama intimidate and scold a disciplined Olympian who just won two Golds for her country for splurging by eating an egg McMuffin. (NBC for once had the fortitude to title their coverage… Michelle Obama scolds Gabby Douglas instead of ‘teases’ like a lot to the a_s kissers did, but then felt they had to soften it by adding a lot of kitsch to their video coverage).

Wow talk about being out of touch and a wet blanket. It almost made me feel bad for the President and certainly did for their girls!

I mean really? For an Egg McMuffin? These Olympic athletes can eat endless calories because they work out all the time and if you know this gal’s story… she is disciplined and deserves a splurge! And it wasn’t like she said ‘I ate a quarter pounder with cheese, fries, and a chocolate shake followed by an apple pie…’ It as an egg McMuffin~

I am not a McDonalds defender. Americans need to eat better and we certainly eat too much fast food but this is not the way to cure that ill!

God help us if Ms. O and crew get 4 more years to police our food and everything else! M~

Setting Her Back?

On Monday night’s renewal of the Jay Leno show, Michelle Obama appeared along with Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, and as the discussion went on, Douglas mentioned eating a celebratory Egg McMuffin from McDonalds. Self-appointed National Nutrition Czar Michelle Obama, who enjoys telling everybody on the planet what to eat, chided Douglas over the choice. I realize this was said mainly in jest, but frankly, Michelle Obama needs to shut the hell up. Gabby Douglas needs Michelle Obama as a nutrition adviser like I need her husband as an automobile consultant. “No, I don’t want an exploding electric car, Mr. President.” There’s something wrong with the Obamas, and it comes down to their desire to run the lives of others, but more than this, there is something unseemly about a woman who has no accomplishments of note (beyond marrying a guy who was elected President), counseling or even jokingly chiding an Olympian about her choices of foods.

Really, what the hell has Michelle Obama ever accomplished? She was an attorney for a while, and there are questions to whether she can still practice. And she served in some positions in Chicago that appeared to have been little more than political favors to her husband, where a cloud still hangs over her (and cronies Axelrod and Jarrett’s) decisions and programs. Apart from that, and apart from spending millions of taxpayer dollars on her seemingly endless string of vacations, I can’t imagine what has qualified the lady to give any sort of nutritional advice to anyone, never mind an Olympian who has managed to train her whole life long and win Olympic glory all without the help of Michelle Obama. There were no quotas, no set-asides, and no special favors for Gabby Douglas, her only way forward and up to the top available having been to achieve it by her own efforts. She didn’t obtain Olympic fame and fortune by marrying a gymnastics judge.

I have no problem with first spouses who are accomplished in their own right. I think it’s terrific to see First Ladies becoming involved in various causes, but they shouldn’t have any official power, and in truth, they shouldn’t have any role in governance because we don’t elect them. Until Hillary Clinton, most first ladies tended to restrain themselves to charitable activities and voluntary efforts, more or less, but something was wrong with Hillary Clinton becoming involved in health-care plans, just as there’s something wrong with Michelle Obama nattering-on about nutrition. Hillary Clinton is not a medical professional, an insurance professional, and at the time, she hadn’t been elected to anything. Similarly, Michelle Obama is not a nutritionist, knows damnably little about food beyond consuming it, but certainly little about its production, and yet here she chastises the Olympian? Of course, she also toured Army posts earlier this year examining their dining facilities, and what nutrition is available to our soldiers, as if the Army needs her advice or direction.

I’m tired of this nonsense. I’m tired of her fake wisdom and her husband’s fake Presidency. For the better part of four years, we have had to listen to these two self-aggrandized nit-wits chiding the nation over this or that, but frankly, it’s time for them to shut the hell up. At every turn, here they are to remind us of a ruling family in some tin-pot dictatorship, like Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos of the Philippines, and while we can guess than Michelle doesn’t have 2700 pair of shoes, she does seem to have a thing for belts. I don’t believe the American people hired Barack Obama to provide a nutrition consultant in the form of his wife, and I don’t think the American people need any more lectures on the evils of oil. It’s long past time for these two to leave the White House, and be stricken from the American memory in the same way we have tried to forget James and Rosalyn Carter.

The next time I see Michelle Obama doing anything athletically, gracefully, and with extraordinary discipline, it will be the first, but until then, she should leave the nutritional concerns of our Olympians, our soldiers, and indeed our entire nation to qualified parties. When I notice how emaciated Barack appears, I wonder how well she’s looking after her own family’s nutrition. In stark contrast, like the champion she is, Gabby Douglas handled the situation with good humor, and her gracious approach sits well with her Olympic achievement. It’s too bad we don’t have a First Lady with similar grace and class.

Let us also remember that McDonald’s is a huge multi-national (CFR elitist company) sponsor of and contributor to the Olympics… But can you really take their money and demonize them at the same time?

And So It Begins… Ann Romney critic frequent White House visitor

There was a time when the goal of all Americans was to have moms stay home and raise their own children with their family’s values and run their households.  Look at this nice family.  Ann and Mitt Romney did a great job.  

Women married to businessmen often are also invaluable to their husbands in organizing entertainment, social and charity events as well as being active in their churches and their children’s schools; all of which is true of Ann Romney!

Ann Romney has M.S. & is a breast cancer survivor.  If she were a Democrat or a NOW member she would be a hero just for surviving.  But because she was a stay at home conservative mom married to the presumptive GOP nominee, where she is an invaluable asset… her life just isn’t enough?!?  Targeted by friend of radical Obama advisors Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod the low life Democrat Hillary Rosen, demeans stay at home moms.  

What is it with Progressive women?  Why is there this need to go after their more conservative sisters?  Look what they did to Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann for starters, both women have degrees, smarts, are successful in their own rights, have stable families and children, only married once to the same husband and are good looking to boot.  So why are they and more traditional conservative women like Laura Bush and Ann Romney fader for the left’s negative comments… while Hillary Clinton can do no wrong?  Envy would be my initial reaction!

As long as we allow the progressives to divide us, whether it is through using race, religion, color, politics, income level or personal preferences… they win and our nation, our values and principles and all groups lose!

Divide and conquer is part of the Progressive playbook that is in full use right now and will continue through the November election and into Obama’s second term and beyond, if there is one.  This week alone they have hit the Romneys on their religion, remodeling their home and now Ann being a stay at home mom.

Game on… the stakes are high.  And congratulations to Ann Romney for winning this round!

WND Exclusive: Democrat consult ant met with top Obama advisers Jarrett, Axelrod

While the Democratic National Committee was quick to distance itself today from marketing strategist Hilary Rosen, WND has found that Rosen held strategy meetings with top Obama aides Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod.

Rosen also sits on the board of a progressive organization described as the “idea factory” of the Obama administration.

Rosen is now under fire after she insulted Ann Romney and stay-at-home mothers, saying the wife of GOP candidate Mitt Romney never held a job.

“Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” Rosen said in an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper about women’s issues.

Ann Romney took to Twitter to respond, writing, “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.”

Rosen is a partner at SKD Knickerbocker, the public relations and strategy firm of former White House communications director Anita Dunn. SKD handled Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Among those distancing themselves from Rosen is David Axelrod, who tweeted his disapproval: “Also Disappointed in Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. They were inappropriate and offensive.”

WND has found that Rosen held five White House meetings, including a March 11, 2009, meeting with Jarrett and a March 12, 2009, meeting with Axelrod described as a “communications message meeting.”

Rosen’s meeting with Axelrod was reported by the Associated Press and CBS News in November 2009.

CBS News noted Axelrod’s White House meeting with Rosen and 18 other strategists demonstrated “the political element of the health care debate.”

Rosen, meanwhile, serves as political director and Washington editor-at large for the Huffington Post and also is a regular commentator for CNN.

She’s on the board of the Center for American Progress Action Fund.

The center is deeply involved in helping to influence White House policy under Obama.

Its founder, John Podesta, directed Obama’s 2009 transition into the White House.

Time magazine called CAP Obama’s “idea factory,” noting that “not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan’s transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway.”

Time reported it is “difficult to overstate the influence in Obamaland of CAP.”

Rosen serves on the board of the George Soros-funded Human Rights Campaign Foundation and the Creative Coalition.

Already, the DNC has commented on Rosen’s remarks, with an official telling Politico, “Hilary Rosen is not an adviser to the DNC. Our contract for media services is exclusively with Anita Dunn.”

Rosen took to Twitter to further her remarks, writing, “When I said on [CNN] Ann Romney never worked I meant she never had to care for her kids AND earn a paycheck like MOST American women!”

Rosen later tweeted that Mitt Romney “now makes up false concern for women’s economic struggle” and “he should stop saying that she is his guide to women’s economic problems. She doesn’t have any.”

Rosen seemed to backtrack a bit when she posted an explanation at the Huffington Post.

“I have nothing against Ann Romney,” Rosen wrote. “She seems like a nice lady who has raised nice boys and struggled with illness and handles their long term effects with grace and dignity. …What is more important to me and 57 percent of current women voters is her husband saying he supports women’s economic issue because they are the only issues that matter to us and then he fails on even those.”

But don’t feel sorry for Ann… Ann Romney destroys attacking Obama advisor in 1 tweet!  Obama advisor Hilary Rosen’s mockery of Ann Romney for ‘never having worked a day in her life’ backfired in a huge way. Given she is a mother of 5 boys, has M.S. & is a breast cancer survivor - trying to go after her for ‘never working’ is not smart (and not true). Ann joined Twitter and dismissed Rosen in 1 tweet.

President Obama stated in his interview on 60 Minutes last Sunday that “I didn’t run for President to be controlled by the Fat Cat Bankers who just don’t get it!” Hmmm… Fat Cats… Fat Cat Bankers… When you look up Fat Cats you find the definition of people like George Soros and Andy Stern… Hmmm the people who financed this campaign, pull his strings and visit the White House regularly. Odd isn’t it??

Obama Slams "Fat Cat" Bankers In 60 Minutes Interview

Various heads of American banks will be heading to the White House on Monday to discuss lending and pay, and it would seem that their host -- the President -- is none to happy with them.

CBS News: In an interview with "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft, the president went after what he called the "fat cat bankers on Wall Street." He said bankers have not shown "a lot of shame" about their behavior and outsized compensation despite the bank bailouts and economic downturn.

After stating that the financial crisis was "caused in part by completely irresponsible actions on Wall Street," Mr. Obama suggested that some banks paid TARP bailout money back to the government specifically to free themselves from government-mandated constraints on executive compensation.

"I think in some cases that was a motivation," said Mr. Obama. "Which I think tells me that the people on Wall Street still don't get it. They don't get it. They're still puzzled, why is it that people are mad at the banks?"

"To the extent there was any misunderstanding about what the NEA may do to support the national service initiative, we will correct it. We regret any comments on the call that may have been misunderstood or troubled other participants. We are fully committed to the NEA's historic mission, and we will take all steps necessary to ensure that there is no further cause for questions or concerns about that commitment."

Valerie Jarrett Is Obama's 'Eyes and Ears'

Officially, Valerie Jarrett is White House senior adviser and assistant to the president for intergovernmental affairs and public engagement.

In reality, Jarrett is Obama's "intermediary to the outside world" and his "closest friend in the White House," according to an in-depth New York Times report on Jarrett's role in the Obama administration.

Obama told The Times' Robert Draper that Jarrett has served "as my eyes and ears."

He also said Jarrett, former head of a Chicago real estate development firm, "combines the closeness of a family member with the savvy and objectivity of a professional businesswoman and public-policy expert."

And an Obama associate disclosed that there are two people Obama is "not going to say no to" — his wife Michelle, and Jarrett.

Jarrett, 52, was born of Africa-American parents in Iran, where her physician father was working with an American aid program. She earned a law degree at the University of Michigan, and was serving as Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley's deputy chief of staff in 1991 when she befriended a young lawyer named Michelle Robinson, and through Michelle, her fiancé, Barack Obama.

Jarrett and Obama became close friends, and she gave him guidance on the book he was writing, "Dreams of My Father."

When Obama, then a state senator, decided to run for the U.S. Senate in 2002, Jarrett originally opposed the idea. But she went along when Obama promised his wife he would quit politics if he lost the election, and Jarrett helped with his fundraising efforts.

She was again at Obama's side in 2006 when he discussed a run for the White House with political strategist David Axelrod, and again served as an important adviser during the campaign.

A few days after Obama won the presidency, Draper reported, he told his new chief of staff Rahm Emanuel: "I want her inside the White House."

When Emanuel found out in December that Jarrett had been looking at office space in the White House, "Emanuel was not happy to learn this," according to Draper. "He confronted Jarrett, and today he says, 'There was a misunderstanding . . . It wasn't a dust-up.'"

Jarrett's director of intergovernmental affairs said there is no "power struggle" between Jarrett and Emanuel. But Draper notes that when Emanuel talks about Jarrett, "it's fair to say that his words fall short of effusive."

In the administration, Jarrett now serves as Obama's conduit to the business community, and as "unofficial champion of minority issues," the Times report discloses.

Beyond that, a friend of advisers Jarrett and Axelrod observed that while Obama gets "brilliant political advice from David, from Valerie he gets wisdom."

When Draper asked Obama if he runs every decision past Jarrett, he answered quickly: "Absolutely."
