Frightening… Secretary of Defense  Leon Panetta tells Congress that they will get International, UN and global permission to defend the nation and its allies… and then will go to Congress and ‘tell them’ what they are doing… Hello?!? 100% unconstitutional and anti-American.  Wake-up people… they are telling you that they are moving us toward and Global New World Order and away from sovereignty and the U.S. Constitution.

On the Road to Armageddon – Moving Ragnarok to the Middle East

The headlines today are full of the Middle East spinning violently apart and threatening to take the entire planet with them. The Doomsday Clock is relentlessly ticking towards midnight and the nuclear Armageddon we have all dreaded our entire lives is about to become reality. And what does Obama do? Why, he gleefully helps it along of course. It suits his Marxist goals and brings chaos into the mix to hurry up a new, sinister utopia, while Israel sits with the sword of Damocles hanging over their heads in a solemn nod to the coming worldwide Caliphate.

We are perilously close to the point of no return on Iran’s nukes. Israel has managed to stave off their progress somewhat by taking down a plant in Syria and by unknown others taking out nuclear scientists and letting the Stuxnet Worm do its damage.

Israel will need to make a major move soon if they are to have a prayer of taking out Iran’s capabilities – in fact, it may already be too late. They have made the tactical error of listening to the radical Progressive leadership in DC and it may cost them everything. No American hero on a white steed will ride to the rescue this time. Panetta has made it abundantly clear – R2P for Syria is a possibility, but hands off Iran. Unless of course, Obama has to have an Iranian war for reelection, in which case, I believe that Panetta will make it as bloody as possible, with Israel being the sacrificial lamb on the Marxist altar of a New World Government. The elite leadership in the US is no longer a friend to Israel – or at least one they can count on. Sadly, they are on their own as they have always been and I believe the evil that is brewing across the globe is bearing down on them. We will all pay a horrible price if we let Israel be savaged by the Iranians and radical Islam, backed by Russia and China.

The Ayatollah came out today and last week through the Internet and in fiery speeches called again for the destruction of Israel and the killing of all Jews. The Iranian government has also laid out a legal and religious doctrine that includes wiping out Israeli assets and Jewish people worldwide.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove “this corrupting material. It is a ‘jurisprudential justification” to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.”

The article, written by Alireza Forghani, a conservative analyst and a strategy specialist in Khamenei’s camp, now is being run on most state-owned conservative sites, including the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars News Agency, showing that the regime endorses this doctrine.

Because Israel is going to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran is justified in launching a pre-emptive, cataclysmic attack against the Jewish state, the doctrine argues.

And the rhetoric is heating up explosively day by day. This won’t go on much longer before something boils over. Tiny Israel will have no choice but to preemptively protect herself or try to save herself afterwards.

Take a look at the slew of events making headlines recently and ask yourself what they portend:

· 400 are slaughtered in Syria, while the UN tries to mandate a resolution. Russia and China block the resolution. And to sweeten the poison, Syria is close to having a civil war break out.

· Hard-line Islamists have taken control of Kuwait’s parliament in their elections, following in the footsteps of Tunisia and Egypt.

· Libya – whom we cheered on in the Arab Spring – had their militia torture their Ambassador to France to death after pulling out his toe nails. Yep, this is what democracy looks like.

· Iranian war ships have docked in a Saudi port. Iranian naval ships docked on Saturday in the Saudi port city of Jeddah on a mission to project the Islamic republic’s “power on the open seas.”

· Iran has begun mass production of an anti-ship cruise missile.

· Egypt on Sunday referred 43 NGO workers, including 19 Americans, to trial before a criminal court for allegedly using illegal foreign funds to foment unrest.

· Iran’s Revolutionary Guard began military exercises Saturday in the country’s south, the latest show of force after threats to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz in retaliation for tougher Western sanctions.

· Israeli facilities worldwide are on high alert against an attack from Iran, according to an internal security document obtained by ABC News.

“We predict that the threat on our sites around the world will increase … on both our guarded sites and ‘soft’ sites,” read a letter by the head of security for the Consul General for the Mid-Atlantic States, ABC News reported. Guarded sites are government facilities like embassies and consulates; “soft sites” are Jewish synagogues, schools and community centers.

Police and intelligence officials in U.S. and Canadian cities — including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Toronto — have increased patrols at Israeli government locations and Jewish institutions, ABC News reported.

· Panetta believes Israel could strike Iran within months.

· Iran is warning of a coming ‘great event.’ Since they believe that 2012 is the return of the Mahdi, you do the math.

So, whether you call it Armageddon or Ragnarok, Iran wants to bring it on and fast. It’s the end of the world baby and they’re feeling fine. There is a reason the US does not show up in end times eschatology. Will we write our own future and defend God’s chosen people? Or, will we slink into oblivion and fall to the enemy? Billions are dying to know, or getting ready to any way.

Syria – The Tipping Point Into Hell

Ask yourself, what happens if we intervene in Syria? Nothing good will come of it. As the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine raises its rough countenance and swivels its sights towards Syria, America should pause and consider where this road leads. Straight to a world war drawing in Iran, Russia and China, courtesy of the Obama administration and its thuggish goons.

I have no love for the Ayatollahs and the whack jobs that rule Iran. War with them is almost a foregone conclusion, primarily because we never had the backbone to take out their nuclear ambitions or smack them for their terrorist forays. That confrontation is coming and will rock the world. However, sticking our nose into Syria as we did in Libya, will poke the badger, so to speak. You won’t free Syria from a tyrant, you’ll solidify Islamic radicalism and embolden it. Iran will not let it go, they are vested in Syria and will step in to dance with us almost immediately. Russia is using Iran for all they are worth and will back them in conflict, as will the Chinese. That’s your formula for the war to end all wars, considering how Obama and Panetta have neutered a great deal of our military muscle. It will also get many Christians slaughtered in Syria, but our Marxist-in-Chief cares little about that I would wager.

Think of Russia as the Mob and Iran as one of their enforcers. Russia is angling for control in the Middle East and Europe. You would not want to play Risk with these guys, trust me. They will let the Islamic extremists do their dirty work by invading, warring and wiping Israel off the map. When Russia is done with them, they will attempt to put the Islamists down. Who will win? Well, Russia has might, but Iran has insane religious fervor. They are willing to take everyone out to win. My money is on the Jihadists, but that roll of the dice is anyone’s guess. Let’s pray it never gets that far, but it sure looks like it’s progressing in that direction. I suspect in the end, the Chinese will be there to claim whatever is left, if anything is.

So, why would we stick our nose once again where it does not belong? Power, control and delusion. The Progressives always believe they will come out on top and in control. But they are not the biggest dog in this fight and they will get the crap kicked out of them by the big boys in Russia, Iran and China. And there are no do-overs in this game.

I understand Syria is murdering their own. That is evil and heinous, but nothing we do will change Islamic rule there. Either Iran will win or the Muslim Brotherhood will. Both are horrific and both are very bad for us. Both sides of that coin are our enemies, make no mistake about it. Pushing the so-called Arab Spring there is just enough to really stir the war pot.

Obama’s actions massively pushed forward the worldwide Caliphate agenda. Should a Caliphate emerge, Christian and Jewish blood will be all over Obama’s hands. He won’t care. In a White House that bans Christians and enables the Muslim Brotherhood, his agenda is pretty damn clear.

R2P in Syria would set off a powder keg, ushering in war. The Obama administration knows this and they may see it as a tool to help get Obama reelected. It’s just the right kind of emergency that slays numerous dragons at once, bolstering election time patriotism to help reelect a beleaguered president and to abridge Constitutional rights even more than they already have been.

It is unlikely that the US will directly confront Syria. It is more likely that, as in Libya, we will drop bombs and encourage the locals. It’s a classic R2P template, but it will inflame the situation even more. Remember how the Arab Spring has now brought the Muslim Brotherhood into power in Egypt. It did not improve freedom or the lives of the people living there. Nope – Christians are being slaughtered, people are starving and the religious fanatics are cracking down on everyone. Wow, that really worked well, huh?

And as our leaders here in the US blithely pass legislation that will allow the indefinite detention of American citizens on American soil (such a breathtaking violation of the Constitution, I can’t even begin to fathom it), it is clear this administration is intent on waging war abroad and at home to further Progressive agendas. Yes, we finished pulling out of Iraq yesterday. Now there is another power vacuum for Iran to fill, increasing their reach and power even more. We’ve also gifted Iran with one of our drones. Well done. We don’t need enemies without, we have plenty within. Egypt suffered from the same affliction.

I believe that Syria is the tipping point into hell. R2P should not be used there and we should stay out of it, period. The Assad regime has been called a ‘dead man walking‘ by numerous parties recently. Let’s not zombify the situation.

You’d think after a decade of pointless waltzes in the Middle East, we would be disabused of that romance. Having not the stomach for real war (the breaking of things and the killing of enemies), we delude ourselves into the belief that war is something other than hell. Perhaps, somewhere in the Ninth Circle, we’ll finally get the point. Well past the tipping point.

Leon Panetta is a leftist radical who should never have headed the CIA, period, much less be confirmed as Secretary of Defense. He poses a massive security risk and he has never been vetted – at all. Panetta stands to be confirmed as Secretary of Defense soon if nothing is done. Just another brick in the Cloward and Piven strategy. Almost certainly Panetta will have two overriding objectives after being confirmed and both spell very bad news for the US, the Western world at large and our way of life.

First on his chopping block will be billions in defense budget cuts. In essence, emasculating our military and weakening our forces to the point of no return. Baring our throats to our enemies across the planet who are at this moment savoring the blood and death to come of the last superpower and freest country ever to grace the planet.

Second, Panetta is laying the foundation for further implementation of the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine. And he has powerful friends indeed on both sides of the progressive aisle (at the forefront is John McCain) backing his move to grant President Obama powers that not only render Congress totally toothless and irrelevant, but also bestowing the powers of a dictator upon our Commander in Chief. Panetta stated that the president can unilaterally use military force, without congressional authorization to “protect our national interests.” Listen to his language concerning the War Powers Act and the right of the President to wage war:

John McCain: “Does it worry you if the Congress begins to tell the commander in chief as to exactly … what the president can or cannot do in any conflict?” asked McCain.

Leon Panetta: “Senator, I believe very strongly that the president has the constitutional power as commander in chief to take steps that he believes are necessary to protect this country and protect our national interests,” said Panetta. “And obviously, I think it’s important for presidents to consult, to have the advice of Congress. But in the end, I believe he has the constitutional power to do what he has to do to protect this country.”

Notice the careful language here. Let me translate… Panetta and Obama ‘hope’ that the Congress will back his military dictates. They ‘hope’ that our leaders will see things their way. But if not, tough cookies folks. If the President decrees, so shall it be. From Wikipedia, we see the definition of a dictator:

A dictatorship is defined as an autocratic form of government in which the government is ruled by an individual, the dictator. It has three possible meanings:

• A Roman dictator was the incumbent of a political office of the Roman Republic. Roman dictators were allocated absolute power during times of emergency. Their power was originally neither arbitrary nor unaccountable, being subject to law and requiring retrospective justification. There were no such dictatorships after the beginning of the 2nd century BC, and later dictators such as Sulla and the Roman Emperors exercised power much more personally and arbitrarily.
• A government controlled by one person, or a small group of people. In this form of government the power rests entirely on the person or group of people, and can be obtained by force or by inheritance. The dictator(s) may also take away much of its peoples’ freedom.
• In contemporary usage, dictatorship refers to an autocratic form of absolute rule by leadership unrestricted by law, constitutions, or other social and political factors within the state.

I would say our government, with Panetta at the helm and Obama ruling over all, fits the bill quite nicely indeed.

Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution says Congress “shall have Power … to declare War, grant letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make rules concerning Captures on Land and Water.” At the constitutional convention in 1787, James Madison of Virginia and Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts proposed that the word “declare” war be inserted in place of “make” war in this passage so that it would leave the president the limited power to “repel sudden attacks.” Madison’s proposal was adopted.

Madison notes from the Constitutional Convention clearly indicate that the drafters of the Constitution meant to deny the president the power to initiate military action by the United States except when necessary for self-defense. “The Executive should be able to repel and not to commence war.”

President Barack Obama expressed this same interpretation when he was a presidential candidate. On Dec. 20, 2008, he told the Boston Globe: “The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”

When it suited Obama, he was against unilateral authorization of military attack. Not so any more. Now it suits his one world Marxist agenda and he is greedily digging in for a big helping of R2P. Witness the actions in Libya and now Yemen. On the chopping block: Syria and then for the coup de grâce – Israel. It’s barreling towards all of us with murderous, evil intent and Israel’s fate is not hard to discern in the military tea leaves. Obama just rendered a 30 day ultimatum to Israel demanding they return to the suicidal 1967 borders where they would be virtual lambs to the slaughter for the Islamists. If they don’t comply, well then, America will be forced to withdraw her support from her staunchest ally. UN sanctions will ensue and if financial extortion is not fruitful, well, military intervention will have its day.

Obama justifies the Libyan conflict by saying it threatens our interests in the region. But the Constitution is being flaunted and totally ignored here. Libya posed no military threat to us and did not wage war against us. Yemen – Obama is not even bothering to give an excuse on this incursion. It was a ‘covert’ operation until a few days ago. And if Americans don’t like it – too freaking bad.

Panetta sees it this way:

Panetta said it was “very important” for the president to consult with Congress after he takes military action, saying that “hopefully” Congress will agree that military action is necessary.

“[O]nce those [military] decisions are made, in order for those decisions to be sustained, that it’s very important to work with the Congress and seek the best advice and counsel of the Congress and hopefully get the Congress’ support for those actions,” said Panetta.

Panetta is a leftist radical who is very, very dangerous. If he becomes Secretary of Defense, Panetta and Obama will finish what Obama began – the dismantling of the strongest military the world has ever seen and the bankrupting of America to boot. Libya and Yeman, along with Afghanistan and Iraq have already broke the American bank. But wait, there’s more to come with Syria and the treacherous Judas treatment of Israel to come.

With Obama the anointed Manchurian President (whose Marxist strings are being pulled masterfully) and Panetta as his chief henchman, national defense will take on a whole new meaning to Americans. A very personal meaning.

The Death of Israel

From Caroline Glick, deputy editor and op-ed writer for the Jerusalem Post, comes alarming news.  An expert on Arab-Israeli relations with excellent sources deep inside Netanyahu's government, she reports that CIA chief Leon Panetta, who recently took time out from his day job (feuding with Nancy Pelosi) to travel to Israel "read the riot act" to the government warning against an attack on Iran.

More ominously, Glick reports (likely from sources high up in the Israeli government) that the Obama administration has all but accepted as irreversible and unavoidable fact that Iran will soon develop nuclear weapons.  She writes, "...we have learned that the [Obama] administration has made its peace with Iran's nuclear aspirations. Senior administration officials acknowledge as much in off-record briefings. It is true, they say, that Iran may exploit its future talks with the US to run down the clock before they test a nuclear weapon. But, they add, if that happens, the US will simply have to live with a nuclear-armed mullocracy."

She goes on to write that the Obama administration is desperate to stop Israel from attacking Iran writing that "as far as the [Obama] administration is concerned, if Israel could just leave Iran's nuclear installations alone, Iran would behave itself."  She notes that American officials would regard any harm to American interests that flowed from an Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities as Israel's doing, not Iran's.
In classic Stockholm Syndrome fashion, the Obama administration is empathizing more with the Iranian leaders who are holding Israel hostage than with the nation that may be wiped off the map if Iran acquires the bomb.

Obama's end-of-the-year deadline for Iranian talks aimed at stopping its progress toward nuclear weapons is just window dressing without the threat of military action.  As Metternich wrote "diplomacy without force is like music without instruments."  By warning only of possible strengthening of economic sanctions if the talks do not progress, Obama is making an empty threat.  The sanctions will likely have no effect because Russia and China will not let the United Nations act as it must if it is to deter Iranian nuclear weapons.

All this means is that Israel's life is in danger.  If Iran gets the bomb, it will use it to kill six million Jews.  No threat of retaliation will make the slightest difference.  One cannot deter a suicide bomber with the threat of death.  Nor can one deter a theocracy bent on meriting admission to heaven and its virgins by one glorious act of violence.  Iran would probably not launch the bomb itself, anyway, but would give it to its puppet terrorists to send to Israel so it could deny responsibility.  Obama, bent on appeasement, would likely not retaliate with nuclear weapons.  And Israel will be dead and gone.

Those sunshine Jewish patriots who voted for Obama must realize that we, as Jews, are witnessing the possible end of Israel.  We are in the same moral position as our ancestors were as they watched Hitler rise but did nothing to pressure their favorite liberal Democratic president, FDR, to take any real action to save them or even to let Jewish refugees into the country.  If we remain complacent, we will have the same anguish at watching the destruction of Israel that our forebears had in witnessing the Holocaust.

Because one thing is increasingly clear: Barack Obama is not about to lift a finger to stop Iran from developing the bomb.  And neither is Hillary Clinton.

Obama may have held the first White House cedar, but he's not planning to spend next year in Jerusalem.
