Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere, and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council.Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday.

One of the main reasons that our children don’t share the same values as their parents, especially this generation, is because they don’t learn history, they don’t go to church or know their spiritual history and most everyone spends their free time attached to, watching, listening to or operating some type of electronics instead of talking and sharing with their family and friends in person or participating in activities and events with their mentors or peers. Spend time with your kids sharing, going on valuable outings and even watching movies that can generate discussion or an interest in them to read and research further. Choosing a book a month to read and share (between parents or grandparents and kids) is another good instructional opportunity) Every holiday, outing, event or evening at home is an opportunity for fun, togetherness and learning!!
