Sarah Palin Back as Fox News Analyst…

Sarah-Getty-Image

Sarah Palin, 49, said she's "pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at Fox."  Fox and Palin parted ways in January 2013 after she had worked there for three years as a contributor but reportedly butted heads with Ailes.  Palin was the rarest of Fox News pundits from the beginning, one who refused to march in lockstep with the network's orders… vintage Sarah!

By Marion Algier – AskMarion

Now, less than half a year after they decided to part ways, Sarah Palin has rejoined the Fox News Channel as an analyst.

The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate has signed on as a contributor to Fox and the Fox Business Network. Her first appearance back will be (was) Monday, 06.17.13 on the morning show "Fox & Friends." (See below)

Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, who said he has had several conversations with Palin over the past few weeks about her returning said:

"I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind."

Palin said that "the power of Fox News is unparalleled and that the role of Fox News in the important debates in our world is indispensable."

Palin originally joined Fox with much fanfare in 2010, less than two years after her vice presidential run with McCain, when she was being talked about as a strong 2012 presidential contender, signing for a reported $1 million a year.

In September 2008, Sarah Palin secretly met with Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes during her campaign tour through New York, a stop which included a friendly chit-chat with Henry Kissinger and a not-so-friendly chit-chat with Katie Couric. The private sit-down was a chance for Ailes and Palin to get to know each other. Ailes, who has said, "I never did focus groups on any talent I put on the air. It was all done out of my gut," spotted something early in the former Alaska Governor. "Say what you will, she hit a home run," he told Fox News executives after her electrifying convention speech at the Xcel Energy Center.

Terms of Sarah’s new contract have not been disclosed, but it is unlikely to be quite as lucrative as the first time around. But then again, Fox and Ailes may be hedging their bets. Fox stayed publicly positive when Palin’s departure was announced in January, with network executive Bill Shine officially saying that "we have thoroughly enjoyed our association" with Sarah… even though he had previously called her dumb in an interview with NY Magazine.  Those who know Sarah, have heard her speak (especially live) and who follow Palin would say she is, “charismatic and certainly ‘not’ dumb… or perhaps ‘Dumb like a Fox’”… no pun intended.

There were signs of tension in Fox's relationship with Palin all along, but when she announced she would not be a presidential candidate in 2012 on Mark Levin’s radio show instead of on Fox, which was paying her to be a contributor, they were not happy and it only worsened their relationship. Shine placed a call to Palin's rep Bob Barnett and warned him she was at risk of being "benched."  After that, Palin was (purposely) overshadowed at Fox during the 2012 campaign by analyst Karl Rove, who was one of Sarah’s biggest critics on the right. Palin’s ‘tea party message’, meaning standing up for the people and the truth, attracted the ire of GOP establishment honchos like Karl Rove, who before the 2010 mid-terms reportedly complained to Ailes that Palin was damaging to the ‘GOP brand’ and was getting too much air time.

Money may have also been a factor leading up to the Palin-Fox split. Palin was signed for the reported $1 million a year when she originally joined Fox less than two years after being McCain's running mate and possible future GOP presidential candidate in 2012, which did not materialize.  Having taken herself out of the presidential sweepstakes caused her value to the to network plummet.

At the Republican National Convention in August 2012, Palin was bumped from a prime-time interview slot and in true Palin fashion, she took to Facebook to complain about it, breaching Fox protocol.

However, as time passes and situations change, one never knows what is in Sarah Palin’s future, especially as the negative news of scandals and cover-ups allegedly involving Obama, his administration and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continue to surface. Plus many of the reports, accusations and fabricated mis-steps for which Sarah was doubted and criticized have been proven to be just that… false and ‘fabricated’.  Sarah Palin has surfaced as the winner and has been proven to be right and victorious in virtually all of the created contention and mis-information.  There could still be a senatorial or presidential run (or both) in her future. Palin’s nickname in political circles is ‘Kingmaker’ and her speeches always rock the house… as did her vice-presidential acceptance speech at the GOP Convention in 2008…  See Flashback here of media reviews of Governor Palin’s 2008 RNC Speech.  Let us remember that because of Sarah Palin, the McCain-Palin Ticket was leading until McCain foolishly decided to suspend his campaigning for a few days to go back to D.C. to get involved in the bailout talks.  Palin is and was golden on the campaign trail and almost every Palin facebook post since instantly goes viral.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has praised Palin for her fearlessness and being instrumental in electing senators such as Rand Paul, Pat Toomey, Jeff Flake, Deb Fischer, Marco Rubio, and himself (Cruz), plus governors like Nikki Haley of South Carolina; the ‘Palin Effect’.  Sarah left Fox warning she was Loaded for Bear for the upcoming elections (2014 and 2016) and has vowed to shake up the GOP machine as well as the Progressive left.

One day after the 2012 Election, in a poll taken by Greta Van Susteran, 41.9% of Republicans considered Governor Sarah Palin the leader of their party.  No one else came anywhere near that percentage in the polling.  And in December 2012, with sparks flying on both sides, Fox News spokesperson Brian Lewis said "we look forward to having a long and beneficial relationship with the Governor."  Looks like he knew what he was talking about and everybody just needed a bit of a time out!?!  Four months obviously proved long enough…

Palin’s return to Fox on Monday is (was) an attention-getting event that will come during the time slot that CNN is debuting its new morning show with a lot of fanfare. This will be the second time in a year that Palin will be used as ammunition in a television morning show competition.

Last year when NBC's "Today" show was locked in a fierce ratings struggle with ABC's "Good Morning America," Palin was a one-day guest host on the “Today” show which enabled NBC to win that day and week in the ratings.  Palin not only won the ratings war for NBC, but WON over her nemesis Katie Couric, on that Day One of the Morning Network ratings war.

Like her or not… Sarah Palin has super star-power and she creates ratings and news, good and bad, whenever she appears.  There is a sense of poetic justice to having Palin win the One Day media war over Couric and ultimately help NBC win the morning media war for the week, as well as be part of the media ranks in general after the mainstream media (MSM), beginning with CFR-darling Katie Couric, and other left-wing jour’NO’lists colluded and declared an all out war against her when they all caught Palin Derangement Syndrome that somehow has managed to continue on to this day.  But that might be changing… people are waking up, to Obama’s lies and Palin’s honesty and wisdom, plus the media is less enamored with Obama since, after being his lap dogs, it has turned out that Team Obama spied on them just like on average Americans, anyway.

Political activist and Tea Party favorite and soloist Lloyd Marcus said, “The Gladiator Sarah Palin: We Need(ed) You Back in the Arena”

Update: She’s back…  Sarah Palin made her return debut on Fox and Friends co-hosting with Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Megyn Kelly:

Video: Sarah Palin Rejoins Fox & Friends - Talks DC Scandals, Snowden, & Tea Party…

Sarah rocked the Fox and Friends house on her first morning back, even though some thought she was a little bit subdued… for Sarah, not to worry; knowing Sarah it won’t be for long before she is inspiring conservatives and scaring liberals every time she appears.  Palin was in full swing at the the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual conference in Washington, D.C. over the weekend. Palin’s best line came at the start of the Fox and Friends program, when they showed a clip of her speech from over the weekend at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference (See in full below) reminding us just how much we missed her… and need her!

Congress should “put themselves on Ted Cruz control for a week," said Palin.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), was a phone-in guest, which was how they played that bit, and note her comment that the US should “let Allah sort it out” in Syria, instead of ramping up military aid to Syrian rebels.

Palin talked a bit about her upcoming Christmas book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas, which she described as a legal how to primer to “pushing back on the politically correct who would try to take the Christ out of Christmas," but also a “festive and jolly” book with recipes. Seems she and Governor Perry of Texas are both getting an early jump on ‘the war on Christmas’.

Sarah then spent a lot of time conflating the IRS scandal, in which agency officials vetting applications for nonprofit 501(c)(4) status singled out politically and religiously conservative groups for special scrutiny, and recent revelations about the extent to which the National Security Agency (NSA) captures the communications data of Americans.

“This is one big ball of wax of a big, overgrown government that has gotten out of control and the people have had enough”, said the former Alaskan governor.

Palin appeared to agree with fellow tea party favorite Senator Rand Paul, (R-KY)  in regard to NSA leaker and self-described whistleblower Edward Snowden, observing at one point that “nothing will ever be the same for this man,” and also saying, “I think that the issue here again is that government is so large and so intrusive in all aspects of life that we need more revelations; we need more truth about what our administration is doing."

She’ll certainly ramp things up in appearances to come with utterances liberals will find outrageous and that Tea Party members and Constitutionalists in general will love… as she did at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Annual Conference!

Senator Ted Cruz Not Only Swept the Senate Floor but Took Out the Trash

Video: Senator Ted Cruz Not Only Swept the Senate Floor but Took Out the Trash

Common sense spoken over and above the passionate emotion of the hearing. Most refreshing in the age of quarrel and hypocrisy, but the left is now already beginning their focused attacks on Ted Cruz (R-TX), like waged on Rand Paul regularly, or Marco Rubio last week after he gave the rebuttal to the State of the Union and like they did with Sarah Palin right out of the shoot… and they are still doing it to Sarah Palin today.  They did it to Dan Quayle decades ago.  It is more of the same… Derangement Syndrome by the left focused on anyone who tells the truth, appeals to the masses or threatens their power.

Palin Plans to ‘Shake Up the GOP Machine’ and Perhaps the Next Two Elections

By Marion Algier – AskMarion

The jockeying for position and influence for both the 2014 and 2016 elections began, November 7th, the day after President Obama was re-elected and buyer’s remorse has already begun to set in for many Americans who either voted for President Obama or did note vote at all in the last election.  And the left, from the President himself to the progressive media have twisted themselves into pretzels to promote Hillary Clinton… gambling that 2016 might be the year for the first female American president and gambling that the low-informed voters won’t realize that voting for  Hillary will just be a replay of Obama… only on steroids!!  2016 Might Be the Election of the First Female President of the United States and if so it should to be her female nemesis… (but definitely someone other than Hillary) just like The Best Man for the VP position in 2008 Turned Out To Be This Woman…  But unless the Republican party, conservatives and patriots in general clean house, educate themselves and speak-out starting now there is little hope for them, us, or America. Time to wake-up and educate the low-informed masses!!

Palin Plans to ‘Shake Up the GOP Machine’

DailyMail: Once again Sarah Palin is showing that she has no plans to play by the rules.

She has parted ways with FOX News after a turbulent relationship with the conservative cable news channel, taken pot shots at pundits in the 'lame stream media' and slammed her own party for selecting Mitt Romney as the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.

Now the former Alaska governor says she'll use the $1.2 million raised through her SarahPAC to 'shake up the GOP machine' and unveiled a vague vision on how she'll get her message out to a larger audience.

Keep an eye out

Keep an eye out: Sarah Palin, in 2008, failed to give specifics about what's up her sleeve but financial reports show her PAC has $1.2 million in the bank

News broke on Friday night that she had not renewed her $1 million annual contract with FOX News, after three years as a contributor on Roger Ailes' network.

Palin then spoke out on Saturday, in an interview with Breitbart.com, saying that she was working to 'free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation.'

Calling the future 'wide open' with opportunities, she shared how she plans 'to pick battles wisely, and all in due season' - hinting that she still has a fight left in her.

Her vision for the future coincided with the financial disclosure from her Political Action Committee, SarahPAC, with records released on Monday showing she ended 2012 with nearly $1.2 million in the bank.

She raised around $20,790 between Nov. 27 and Dec. 31 and spent $67,800 during that time period on expenses including consulting, speech writing and legal fees.

Loser

Palin, pictured with Mitt Romney during the 2008 election; blamed the GOP for choosing Mitt the Moderate in 2012 instead of a more conservative presidential nominee

swan

Swan song: Sarah Palin made her last FOX appearance on Dec. 19

Though speculation grows over her future, she was quite clear about her view of her party's past performance in 2012.

She blasted the Republican establishment, announcing her intention 'to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC.'

Awkward

Awkward: Sarah Palin took to Facebook to complain about her employer

She didn't mince words on the presidential election of 2012, saying former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney lost because he was too moderate and blamed the party for not listening to the desires of grass roots conservatives.

'We had an election defined by a biased media plus millions of voters who sat it out in disgust. As long as we allow the media and GOP establishment to tell us who our nominees must be, we can expect to lose. I'm not interested in losing. America's next generation can’t afford another loss.'

Yet again she took a dig at what she has dubbed the 'lame stream media,' calling for more 'truth-telling' and praising conservatives, like radio personalities Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin but seemed to intentionally leave out any of her former FOX colleagues.

It's not clear how exactly Palin's arrangement ended with the conservative cable news outfit.

FOX, the News Corporation unit run by Mr Ailes, has insisted they parted ways on an amicable note despite repeated signs of a strained relationship.

'We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors,' Bill Shine, an executive vice president at FOX, told the New York Times.

Senator John McCain's former running mate joined the network in January 2010.

With her colored past in U.S. politics, Mr Ailes made no secret of her true appeal.

'I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings,' he told the Associated Press in an October 2011 interview.

Unlike former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who hosts a weekly talk show on FOX at the network's headquarters at 1211 Avenue of the Americas on West 47th Street in Midtown Manhattan, FOX News built a studio for her at her Wasilla, Alaska home.

Her husband, Todd, would occasionally take on the role of cameraman and producer during her live television appearances.

Despite the cozy arrangement that allowed the Alaskan to work from home, it was said that Palin and FOX were not seeing eye-to-eye.

Safe at home

Nice and cozy: FOX News built a studio for Palin at her home in Wasilla, Alaska and her husband, Todd, often served as her cameraman

After Sen. McCain's loss to Obama in 2008, Palin returned to her native Alaska and then abruptly resigned from her post as governor of Alaska in July 2009.

Her book, 'Going Rogue: An American Life,' was published in November 2009 by News Corp.'s HarperCollins, and she followed it up in 2010 with another book, 'America by Heart.'

Her relationship with FOX News has been known to be tense, as she and the company's CEO have traded barbs and often appeared annoyed at each another.

In late 2011, America waited to see if Palin would enter the presidential race after she openly flirted with the idea.

When Palin did finally decide not to throw her hat in the ring in October 2011, she made the announcement on a conservative radio program, The Mark Levin Show, instead of FOX.

Failing to give the exclusive to her employer was seen as a slap in the network's face.

Then months later, in April 2012, Mr Ailes bluntly stated Palin 'had no chance to be president' during a speech at the University of North Carolina.

Palin called his perspective 'interesting' and retorted that, 'I wonder if he is aware that the same thing was said about me when I ran for city council, mayor, and eventually governor,' in an interview on Breitbart.com.

Good night and good luck

Flashback: Media Reviews of Governor Palin’s 2008 RNC Speech

See ya: Sarah Palin, in 2008, downplayed her FOX departure and said the future is 'wide open' with opportunities

'No doubt many people who are told they can't do something will work that much harder, and they succeed,' she added.

Mr Ailes later clarified that he wasn't 'referring to any ...long-term prospects,' adding that 'nobody can predict the future.'

But in August of 2012, she showed she had no love for FOX when at the Republican National Convention she took to Facebook to complain that the network had taken her off as a contributor for the convention coverage.

'I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight,' she wrote to her more than 3 million followers on her Facebook page.

FOX said the changes were due to a condensed line-up of speakers but the public spat had many wondering last summer if her stint on cable would be coming to a close.

Her last appearance on FOX, the most watched cable news network, was on Dec. 19 for an interview on Greta Van Susteren's show.

Photo retrieved from Game Change: The Latest in Left-Wing Lies at SarahPAC

SarahPalinInformationBlog: Governor Palin’s PAC ended the year with a reserve of almost $1.2 million in the bank and no debt. That and the fact that fund raising continued toward the end of the year lends credence to Governor Palin’s promise to continue the battle for common-sense conservatism.

Kenneth Vogel at Politico writes:

With her Fox News days behind her, Sarah Palin is signaling she intends to become more involved in Republican primaries, and a Monday filing shows she has the cash to back it up.

Palin’s leadership political action committee, Sarah PAC, finished the year with $1.2 million in the bank, according to a report to the Federal Election Commission covering roughly the final month of the year.

Perhaps as significant as the cash on hand, Palin’s PAC has continued spending to build her fundraising list, which sources say contains about 100,000 addresses. The PAC paid $28,000 in December for fundraising related expenses including direct mail, online fundraising and thank you notes to donors, the report shows.

[...]

And her endorsements — along with accompanying Sarah PAC donations — were welcomed by several tea party candidates who defeated more establishment candidates in GOP primaries, earning her allies in the GOP freshman class and signaling that she can still be a force in the conservative base.

She was among the early backers of newly elected Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Deb Fisher (R-Neb.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) in their contested primaries, giving maximum $5,000 donations in their primaries, and then again in their general election campaigns.

Cruz returned the favor after the election, publicly attesting to her impact in a grateful letter to her email list this month.

“The governor’s vision and the support of patriots like you helped transform my long-shot candidacy into victory on election night,” he wrote. “While federal law prohibited any coordination between SarahPAC and my campaign, none of this success would have been possible without the outpouring of financial support, hard work, and word of mouth from conservative fighters like you. The governor’s support and your constant encouragement played a critical part in our triumph.”

After her breakup with Fox News, Palin told Breitbart News that she intended to broaden her outreach and become more involved in backing anti-establishment candidates.

“Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative,” she said, suggesting the Fox split would allow her to “free up opportunities” to spread her message. “It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC.”

And, in a late November message to the Sarah PAC list, Crawford signaled an even more anti-establishment path, writing that the “power brokers in Washington will still look for the easy path with candidates – those they know and that are habitual candidates.” Sarah PAC “will never stop identifying and supporting local commonsense conservatives with strong messages who understand the need to put people over politics, principals over promises, and ideals over self-interests.”

Dave Levinthal at the Center for Public Integrity also writes:

Few PACs, be they traditional or super in nature, maintain a cash balance in the seven-figure range, meaning Sarah PAC remains a force in politics…

[...]

During calendar year 2012, Sarah PAC took in nearly $2.6 million in contributions, its reporting shows.

Comment:

Sarah Palin, feared by the left and the right establishments because of her integrity and her refusal to play by their corrupted books. She remains one of the few truely trustworthy national figures--though I don't always agree with what she says-she loves America and our freedom, knowing that it is is deep danger from the ruling class in Washington and their tainted media robots.

2016 - The Election of the First Female President of the United States?

By Marion Algier – Ask Marion

Before the Electoral College Electors could even cast their votes to certify the presidential election of 2012, which many are trying to stop through recounts, investigations of suspected pre-set electronic voting machines or by the somewhat skewed use of the 12th Amendment if some states’ electors withhold their votes, suspecting a rigged election… progressive newspapers, liberal pundits and the uninformed were already writing and speculating about another Hillary Clinton presidential run in 2016.

Hillarys Next Move

The New York Times, in their Sunday, 11.11.12, Review Section ran Hillary’s Next Move and the Daily Kos wrote Why Hillary Clinton Should Run for President.  Really?  Is this the same Hillary… that cannot make it back to testify before Congress on Benghazi because of her previous plans to visit and go wine tasting with friends in Australia?

Every day, people approach Hillary Clinton and tell her she has an obligation to run and give America its first woman president. “Yes, they do!” she laughs, with the trademark H.C. chortle. Being asked to run for president is a kind of side career all by itself.

Clinton gives many variations on the theme of don’t-think-so. (“Oh, I’ve ruled it out, but you know me. Everybody keeps asking me. So I keep ruling it out and being asked.”) Also a thousand different forms of beats-me. (“I have no idea what I’m going to do next.”) What she does not do is offer the kind of Shermanesque if-nominated-I-will-not-run language that would end the conversation.

Instead, she veers off into a discussion of all the things she’ll do when she’s no longer secretary of state, and there’s time. That led to a mention of her favorite television shows, which are all about house buying and home improvement. Read in Full HERE.

On 04.26.12 the Examiner ran Sarah Palin's next move? and earlier in the year: Why Sarah Palin Should Be President (part 1) and Why Sarah Could Win

What Will Sarah DoSarah has not become famous by being shy. Throughout the primary race, she has cleverly heaped praise upon whichever candidate needed to surge in order to split-up the vote and keep the contest moving toward a possible brokered convention. She has even admitted that she would entertain the idea of having her own name appear in the running at a brokered convention. Her interviews along the way have shown that she was sticking to that plan.

When it was wise, she heaped praise on Santorum. Other times, Sarah told people to go out and vote for Newt. She has consistently said good things about Ron Paul while maintaining a neutral stance regarding Mitt Romney. Read in Full HERE.

[...]

The difference between the two articles and attitude behind them is that when the primarily ‘liberal’ members of the press talk about Sarah, even in  a positive way, it is about what she can do for the tea party, the Republican party or other candidates, not their encouragement or speculation about her running for president in 2016 and what she can do for the country in that position.  When the media talk about Hillary, as they salivate, it is about the county’s need for her to run for president, when in reality if they had reported the news and events of Benghazi impartially and truthfully, instead of being part of the cover-up, Hillary’s aspirations of being President would have been shattered… but there is always Karma.  Many feel that Hillary and Obama should have resigned over Benghazi as their foreign policy unravels. On the flipside, when they talk about Sarah the media keeps the Palin Derangement Syndrome they created going.

These two women could end up facing each other in 2016, whether it is running as the Republican and Democrat candidates for president or the Democrat and a new third party candidate.

These two women, Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, without a doubt are two of the most (if not the most) charismatic, influential, powerful, loved and hated women in U.S. politics.  And both are qualified to be president of the United States.  The difference is that the media (and Hollywood) hate one of them and love the other and their politics and belief systems are polar opposites.

Both women have experience.  Palin has been the Mayor of Wasilla, the Governor of Alaska, the GOP Vice Presidential Candidate in 2008 and a major leader in and speaker for the tea party and candidates with tea party, fiscal conservative, Constitutional and family values.  Palin is also widely credited with reviving a long-stalled effort to build a natural-gas pipeline from Alaska's Prudhoe Bay energy fields to the Lower 48 states and relatedly recently participated in a special: Paying at the Pump, with Eric Bolling. Hillary Clinton has been a First Lady where she promoted her own version of ObamaCare (HillaryCare) and the Progressive Project:  It Takes A Village, the Senator from New York, a Democratic Presidential Primary Candidate in 2008 and Secretary of State.

Other than the contrived scandals and exaggerated slipups created by the media, that have all been proved to be lies and set-ups, Sarah Palin has a flawless record, without scandal, whereas both Hillary Clinton’s personal and  political lives are filled with it!

Sarah Palin can mesmerize a crowd; Hillary not so much.  Tens of thousands regularly turned out for Palin’s 2008 appearances. It was at her first rally in Cali in October 2008 that this writer first saw Sarah Palin speak to a crowd of 23,000 in Carson, CA. I have been a supporter ever since and so are most who hear her speak, especially live, and actually listen!

Oh, just in case anyone’s memory needs refreshing on the magnificence of her 2008 RNC speech…

And for those who forgot the reaction to her speech, check out:  Flashback: Media Reviews of Governor Palin’s 2008 RNC Speech.  Greta Van Susteren just recently pulled out the old 2008 polls. And Sarah showed she had what it took and did what she needed to do in the VP debate as well!

Sarah Palin Laughing As She Signs Autographs at So Cal RallyAnd being between their ages, myself, I feel I can say that Sarah Palin is younger, prettier and more energetic; all positive assets when hillary_fx_down_underyou are running for office or holding office as a women.  But the liberal biased media loves and will promote Hillary to all our detriment and have already begun their campaign. And they collectively hate and fear Sarah with the same vengeance that they love Hillary.  Even many in her own party fear Sarah’s popularity with the people. They fear if they give her a fair shot and more people get to hear her and see her political instincts in action that they will like her and she will upset the establishment apple cart, enough so not to include her or let her speak, like at the 2012 RNC Convention.

In the end the question will be whether ‘we the people’ do our homework, go with our gut and share with the oblivious around us or whether we will allow the powers that be (the Progressives and globalists) and the liberal lamestream media (MSM) and their Hollywood buds to decide another election for us using lies, slight of hand, diversions, omissions and down right cheating like in 2008 and in 2012.

It may seem too early for most people to think about the presidential election of 2016, but as we all know, the Clintons have been thinking about it since 2008 and Bubba worked relentlessly for political foe Obama in 2012 to keep them in the limelight… and Team Obama never left some of the battle ground states like Ohio between 2008 and 2012.  As for Sarah, one never knows what is next except that you can expect her to do it her way…

Letting Sarah Speak – Updated

Marion Algier – Ask Marion

It was just four years ago that John McCain surprised the electorate with his selection of then Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, the first woman ever to be selected as a Republican VP nomination or part of the GOP ticket and only the second woman in all of U.S. history chosen to run for the #2 position in either party; Democrat Geraldine Ferraro, was the first woman on a presidential ticket in 1984.

The 2008 GOP Convention was the first time most Americans were introduced to Sarah Palin and she rocked the house the night of her convention speech and quickly changed the face of the McCain campaign. Palin soon overshadowed McCain on the campaign trail and within days the McCain/Palin ticket had surged into the lead. And for those who either don’t or choose not to remember that they were ahead in the polls after Palin joined the ticket, Greta Van Susteren just recently pulled out those old polls.

Sarah Palin Laughing As She Signs Autographs at So Cal RallyPalin took the 2008 presidential race by storm beginning with her speech accepting the GOP vice-presidential nomination in St. Paul, Minnesota with a performance that electrified the party faithful and received almost universal praise from previously skeptical pundits as well, a fact the has been conveniently forgotten or spun over the past four years.  Many people fell in love with Sarah Palin instantly after hearing her speak that first time and she rallied the party like she does every time she speaks and instantly became a tea party favorite, excited at the prospect of a fresh, inspiring, Reaganesque candidate that was a female to boot.

Tens of thousands regularly turned out for Palin’s 2008 appearances. It was at her first rally in Cali in October 2008 that this writer first saw Sarah Palin speak to a crowd of 23,000 in Carson, CA. I have been a supporter ever since and so are most who hear her speak live and actually listen!

So why isn’t Sarah Palin speaking at the 2012 Republican Convention on Tampa?

Why aren’t any of these people speaking? UPDATE (Aug. 17): It appears that Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich will now be speaking at the GOP Convention; announced since the so-called final speakers list was released after which the poster and campaign below were launched.

Click here to find out more!

Why?

After realizing Sarah Palin’s popularity with the grassroots elements of the Republican party and with average everyday Americans from all parties in 2008 and since, even after their attempts to demonize her, plus Sarah’s overall charisma, it scared the left as well as many within the Republican establishment who quickly developed a case of the phenomenon known as Palin Derangement Syndrome which was promoted by the those who suffer from it and those they control like the leftist mainstream media. ‘They’ were and are afraid that Sarah will speak her mind (Going Rogue), are afraid that they can’t control her and even more are afraid that she could win as the #1 spot on the GOP ticket or perhaps even on an independent ticket in the future. Nobody puts this much effort into someone that has no power or couldn’t upset their apple cart!

Plus, it seems fairly obvious that the RNC and the Romney-Ryan campaign’s strategy is to highlight voices that will excite party loyalists in the campaign hall while excluding those that could possibly turn-off independent voters watching on television at home, possibly giving some credence to the rumor that Palin was asked to speak during the day… when fewer people would see her. (As Rush Limbaugh has often said, “Wow what power we have given the independents!”)  That is a strategy that could backfire!  Everyone of the people in the photo above should be speaking at the Convention and Sarah Palin should definitely be speaking and speaking in prime time!

Kevin Fobbs has started a campaign to: Let Sarah Speak and the Tea Party launched a campaign to let Allen West, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Donald Trump and Sarah Palin to speak.  Join them.  Call and email the RNC, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus who had said earlier that he hoped Sarah would have a speaking role, and the Romney Campaign. Also, sign this petition or start your own.

It is not too late to change things or add speakers.  On August 17th the word was that Ron Paul and his delegates had been embraced by the RNC and it appears that both Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul will now be speaking (or were given the invite) at the GOP Convention; still no specifics available on Ron Paul though. On the 21st the RNC struck a deal with Ron Paul delegates and  Sher Valenzuela (Who… When you could have Palin or Bachmann?) landed a prime speaking slot.  And on the 22nd it was announced that  Ann Romney will Keynote the First Night of the GOP convention.  Also, Donald Trump Is Now To Play a 'Surprise' Role At Republican Convention. So there is still time and room for Sarah Palin and the others listed above!

This is not in anyway an anti-Romney-Ryan movement!  They are the comeback team that America needs right now.  But the GOP needs to create a bigger tent!

Update on Maggie’s Notebook (08.22.12):

Snippet:

Mark Levin interviewed RNC chairman Reince Priebus and asked if Sarah Palin was offered a speaking position, in prime time, at the Republican National Convention beginning next week in Tampa, Florida. Priebus says (snippet): (see video below)

PRIEBUS: Governor Palin was definitely invited to speak at the Convention, and it wasn’t like in the afternoon or anything like that. She was invited to speak one of the evenings. I don’t know if it got to the point of what time and date, and which particular period of time, but she was invited to speak and it just turned out that in her schedule, I think she was planning on staying up in Alaska anyway, and it didn’t work out….

LEVINE: But a prime time spot?

PRIEBUS: I don’t what you mean by prime time, but I can tell you between 8pm and…

LEVINE: You know, when everyone is watching TV

PRIEBUS: Yeah, between 8pm and 11 at night, I think that’s a prime time spot. Yeah. It wasn’t at 7 o’clock or 4 in the afternoon. I can promise you that. It was a time when all the delegates would be in the hall and everyone would be there attentive and ready for the evening of major speakers. Yeah.

Something here doesn’t pass the smell test. I can’t imagine that Sarah would rather be in Alaska during the time of the Republican National Convention, if she had an opportunity to further her small government, integrity-driven government agenda. In fact, I can’t imagine she would not want be at the Convention, but I don’t think a 10pm or 11 pm speaking slot can be considered desirable or an appropriate offer, if that was the offer.

##

As highlighted by Ask Marion and by Constitution Daily Palin has rented a hotel space in Tampa during the Convention time, so maybe she is not staying in Alaska. I can’t imagine that she will, but then I can’t imagine that she wasn’t offered one of the best spots on RNC speaking roster.

Stay tuned…

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Tampa as the GOP Convention Opens, another sign of how desperate the Obama campaign is. Palin Not Speaking at GOP Convention in Tampa… Huge Disappointment to Many – Mistake or Smart by Romney Campaign?

Chris Christie in, Sarah Palin out Unveiling the Romney-Ryan 2012 Republican National Convention Party/Campaign Strategy

by Marion Algier – Ask Marion

cdn-media_nationaljournal_com[1]

The final GOP Convention speaker announcements came quickly after Mitt Romney announced his vice presidential running mate.  Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is out, even though Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus had said earlier that he hoped she would have a speaking role, and her absence leaves many very disappointed! But New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is in, giving the keynote address on Tuesday night, making many across all sectors of the party happy!  And popular Florida Senator Marco Rubio will be introducing Romney at the Convention. Texas Representative and two time GOP presidential primary candidate Ron Paul, who will be holding a Rally for his Liberty Delegates on Aug 26th in Tampa, will not appear leaving many of his followers shocked, but his son, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, will take the stage (a deal that many feel was made months ago between the Paul and Romney camps on the campaign trail).  And just like the unconventional early Paul Ryan VP announcement this is a bit of a shake-up and surprise, especially for those who consider Mitt Romney and his team predictable… perhaps not so much after all!?!

Having waited to write this for a few days, still hoping there might be a few additional changes (I am one who really hoped Palin and Allen West would still be added), the full slate of convention speakers for the Republican National Convention in Tampa later this month now appears to be set and it reveals a careful attempt by the GOP and Team Romney to highlight voices that will excite party loyalists in the campaign hall while excluding those that could possibly turn-off independent voters watching on television at home, possibly giving some credence to the rumor that Palin was asked to speak during the day… when fewer people would see her. (As Rush Limbaugh has often said, “Wow what power we have given the independents!”)

So unless things change, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and the first women ever to be on a Republican Presidential ticket, who just four years ago was the first Republican female vice presidential candidate ever, will apparently not be speaking at the Republican National Convention.

Palin made her announcement through a statement released to Greta Van Susteren, after according to a report on RealClearPolitics.com, “Two Republican sources with knowledge of discussions between the Palin and Romney camps told RCP that Palin made the decision not to attend the convention after not receiving an invitation to speak in prime time: "This year is a good opportunity for other voices to speak at the convention and I'm excited to hear them.", she said. It remained unclear whether Palin would be attending the convention at all. Palin not being asked to speak at the 2012 convention by Mitt Romney’s team is considered a BIG MISTAKE by many and a bit disrespectful to the first GOP female ever to be part of a their ticket!!

Sarah Palin is a galvanizing force among many Republicans, but she was critical of Mitt Romney during the primary; her husband Todd Palin, who is presently appearing on the new high-profile reality show, “Stars Earn Stripes” even stomped for Newt Gingrich. (Eldest Palin daughter, Bristol, who is featured with her son in “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp” is also returning to Dancing with the Stars’ (DWTS) 15th season as part of their first “all-star” cast beginning soon and running through the campaign season).  And Sarah has yet to ‘officially’ endorse Romney, but offered strong words of support on the Sunday after the Ryan VP pick was announced.  Palin wrote: “As I've repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally Independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new President to get our country back on the right path."

And through it all Palin is still in spotlight despite passing on the convention

Just because the former vice presidential candidate isn’t speaking at the GOP convention in late August, it doesn’t mean Palin will be out of the spotlight!

In the annuls of former vice presidential candidates, Palin now 48, remains the exception rather than the rule. Most former VP candidates on losing tickets just faded away or returned to their previous jobs in politics after their tickets’ defeat.  But, four years after John McCain surprised the electorate with Palin’s selection, after which she soon overshadowed McCain on the campaign trail, Palin certainly shows no signs of disappearing as a political figure and she may just show up at the convention anyway.

But instead of Palin rocking the Convention house, like she does every time she speaks, a roster of other young, conservative types such as Paul Ryan (Romney’s VP choice), Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, and Ted Cruz will be on the podium in Tampa along with a few veterans like Condi Rice.

The Tampa Bay Times said Palin had already rented hotel space in Tampa down the street from the convention and will be in close proximity to about 15,000 journalists, which has also been corroborated by several pundits on Fox News, where Palin is still working as a contributor as she supports candidates around the country who espouse her same ideas.  In the statement released to Greta Van Susteren, Palin said she was looking forward to doing grassroots campaigning:

“As I’ve repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally Independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new President to get our country back on the right path.”

While Palin’s critics say her convention absence is another sign of her political decline, her supporters would say it is a sign of her strength, still feared by many in the GOP establishment, sentiments that recently emerged through former VP Dick Cheney’s remarks causing a media uproar as well as within the Republican party and among those outside the party that were swayed by the leftist rhetoric which created Palin Derangement Syndrome that sadly seems to continue.

In historic terms, Palin is one of the most high-profile ex-VP candidates in decades. Since 1912, not many losing vice presidential palin_presidentcandidates have come back around to have significant public roles. Little-known fact however, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was on the losing Democratic ticket in 1920 and obviously bounced back in a big way with his subsequent four terms in office as president. Earl Warren lost as a VP candidate in 1948 and then later became the Chief Justice of the United States. Bob Dole, Lloyd Bentsen, Estes Kefauver, Joe Lieberman, and Walter Mondale resumed their careers after their unsuccessful races for the vice presidency. Other former candidates, like John Edwards and Geraldine Ferraro, the first Democrat woman on the presidential ticket, struggled with legal issues. But the Dems did not forget their first female VP nominee and capitalized on having the first women on a national ticket ever, whenever possible.

As for Palin, she is still making headlines, has the unwavering support of the Tea Party, and is frequently mentioned as a potential 2016 presidential candidate if Mitt Romney doesn’t capture the White House, and a 2020 possibility if he does.

Recent estimates put her net worth above $10 million, thanks to her reality TV deal for Sarah Palin’s Alaska, her books including America by Heart, and her speaking engagements.

The web site The Hill says Palin’s recent endorsements in Senate primaries helped four of five candidates win in tight elections.

Rather than Sarah’s star power fading… Palin's absence From GOP Convention May Expose a Romney-Palin Rift… Or Perhaps an Establishment-Grassroots Rift

Palin stomping for Ted Cruz in Texas

Real Clear Politics noted if one of Mitt Romney's goals in choosing a running mate was to mine the same mother lode of conservative excitement that John McCain tapped by picking Sarah Palin four years ago, there's one additional dilemma for Romney to address: Palin is still around. However we will acknowledge that the Ryan announcement has definitely boosted the Romney campaign.

Only a day after Romney unveiled House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan as his vice-presidential pick, Palin suggested in her statement posted by her Fox News colleague and friend Greta Van Susteren that she would not speak at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa which tells us that perhaps Sarah was on the short least for a VP re-run shot and we are in for surprise appearance, she decided to be the grown-up in the room and do the right thing for the unity of the party and step back to stop anymore friction and speculation, or she is looking ahead to 2016 or even 2020 and figures perhaps absence will make the hearts grow fonder and the voices of those who miss her grow louder?!?

Palin’s apparent decision to steer clear of this year’s convention came almost four years after she took the 2008 presidential race by storm with her speech accepting the GOP vice-presidential nomination in St. Paul, Minnesota, a performance that electrified the party faithful and received almost universal praise from previously skeptical pundits, a fact the has been conveniently forgotten or spun over the past four years. For those who either don’t or choose not to remember that McCain-Palin were ahead in the polls after Palin joined the ticket, Greta Van Susteren recently pulled out the old polls.

Within days the McCain/Palin ticket had surged to the lead in the RCP Average before a series of questionable public stumbles and the near-collapse of the nation’s financial system causing McCain to temporarily suspend campaigning, which ultimately led to the Republicans’ defeat.

And though the differences between that vice-presidential rollout and his own are innumerable, Romney’s selection of Ryan has likewise generated a surge of enthusiasm in the conservative base that had previously rallied to Romney largely by default.

According to Romney spokesperson Andrea Saul, the Republican campaign raised $3.5 million online in the first 24-hours and over $7-million total in the first 3-days following Romney’s selection of Ryan, and the GOP ticket was greeted over the weekend by the largest crowds of the former Massachusetts governor’s candidacy, though the numbers have been less massive than the tens of thousands who regularly turned out for Palin’s 2008 appearances. It was at her first rally in Cali in October 2008 that this writer first saw Sarah Palin speak to a crowd of 23,000 in Carson, CA.  I have been a supporter ever since and so are most who hear her speak live and actually listen!

Though she has faded from her once commanding perch on the national political scene, Palin’s role in the Republican Party heading into the campaign’s final stretch remains a consequential matter for the Romney team and not having her speak at the convention may turn out to be something they wished they had addressed and handled differently.

The former Alaska governor has not only demonstrated a continued ability to wield significant influence, particularly in Senate and House primary races, but her penchant for doing things her own way has left the lingering possibility that she could either boost the standard-bearer or become a thorn in his side. For this reason it was notable, at least to some, when she initially offered only a lukewarm reaction to Romney’s selection of Ryan.

On Saturday night, the former Alaska governor posted on her Facebook page, often her venue of choice to communicate to her fans and followers, a statement that clocked in at over 1,100 words, in which she attacked President Obama’s policies and compared the nation’s fiscal mess to California’s, but offered only cursory congratulations to Romney for choosing Ryan and declining to praise specifically any of the Wisconsin congressman’s positive attributes as a running mate. Then the following morning, the aforementioned Republican sources, with knowledge of discussions between the Palin and Romney camps, told RCP that Palin would not attend the convention after not receiving an invitation to speak in prime time. We can only speculate what is and has gone on in this situation on both sides…

“They’ve got Ryan now, so they think they’ve got the Tea Party covered,” one of the sources said.

Two Palin aides did not respond to requests for confirmation that she would not speak in Tampa, leaving room for hope for her followers, but the 2008 VP nominee appeared on Fox News later on Sunday and offered up a far more full-throated endorsement of the GOP ticket than the one that she had provided earlier.

“With Paul Ryan, who’s known for his conscientious concern for our budget and for getting America out of debt, this makes it tougher for Obama to continue to do his distracting and dividing and pivoting off the economy because this ticket representing this campaign is about the economy,” she said. “There’s a lot of us who will have his back.”

In the interview, Palin was not asked why she had declined in her initial statement to join other national Republicans in heaping praise on Ryan, but her newly effusive tone surely must have come as a relief to the Romney campaign.

Shortly after her Fox News appearance, Palin released her statement to Van Susteren indicating that she would not speak at the convention, but the question of how prominent a role the Romney campaign had been willing to grant her remained unanswered.

A Romney campaign spokesperson declined to comment on whether Palin had been offered a prime-time speaking window in Tampa, rather than a less coveted daytime slot, which considering Palin’s standing in the party would have been an insult.

“Governor Palin is an important voice and leader in the Republican Party,” Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades said in ansarah_palin_speaking emailed statement to RCP. “While she will be missed in Tampa, Governor Romney looks forward to working with her to defeat President Obama, turn our economy around and strengthen America’s middle class.”

The Romney campaign has long maintained an internal policy of speaking only glowingly of Palin in public settings, but their concern remains evident that she is a polarizing figure in an election that will be decided by voters with whom she is not popular.

BuzzFeed.com reported on Saturday that in alluding to the differences between the Ryan pick and McCain’s choice of Palin, one senior Romney adviser sarcastically referred in an email to “the number one policy wonk in the country . . . Sarah Palin.”  Shame on them!

Commenters on the pro-Palin website Conservatives4Palin.com reacted angrily to the news that she would not speak at the convention, and a prominent GOP strategist with close ties to the Tea Party told RCP that he blamed the Romney campaign for not fully appreciating what Palin brings to the table.

“The Romney campaign from day one has missed her draw to the Tea Party,” the strategist said. “Even with Paul Ryan, they still miss that she’s been there from the beginning.”  They also miss that she is a historic figure in the Republican party.

How Palin handles the spotlight, if she decides to make any public statements from this point on, will undoubtedly make headlines.

Palin: Tea partiers have 'no choice' but Romney… 'Of course they're going to go with anybody but Obama (ABO)'

120813sarahpalinz

(Fox News) After a long and sharply contested GOP primary battle, many Republicans, conservatives and tea-party types have been left questioning whether they can, in good conscience, vote for Mitt Romney in November.

Romney’s statements as a former advocate of legalized abortion, his hotly contested record on same-sex marriage and his health-care reforms while governor of Massachusetts – sometimes maligned as “Romneycare” – have left conservatives uncertain if the presumptive Republican nominee is really one of their own.

Tea-party darling and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, however, is basically dismissing the concerns, telling Fox News Channel’s Shannon Bream that Romney has the Republican Party’s conservative base in the bag.

On “America’s News Headquarters” over the weekend, host Bream asked Palin if Romney’s choice of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as running mate would help persuade those “not completely sold” on the name at the top of the GOP ticket.

“A lot of maybe Tea Party patriots have understood, wisely, that they’ve had no choice,” Palin answered. “Of course they’re going to go with anybody but Obama (ABO), and now, yes, I believe that there will be a strengthening, more enthusiasm, because [of] this ticket.”

When asked how Romney needs to “coalesce” his message to communicate with voters, Palin doubled down on the notion that the GOP base is secured.

“It’s all about the independents, Shannon,” Palin said. “We don’t have to just keep on preaching to the choir, there, of the hardcore base of fiscal conservatives within the Republican Party – we got ‘em; Romney’s got ‘em. We’ve got to reach the independents.”

According to the latest polling data from Rasmussen Reports, however, Palin’s claims may be more predictive of voting in November than descriptive of the current divide within the Republican Party.

Rasmussen’s most recent poll on the question of voter enthusiasm found that only 16 percent of Republicans believe Romney and Obama are the best two options to be running for president, only 35 percent will affirm excitement about the match-up and a sobering 46 percent of all voters believe they “will simply be voting for the lesser of two evils this November.”

Nonetheless, according to the most recent Gallup polls, 90 percent of Republicans say they would vote for Romney if the election was today, and 92 percent of those who voted for GOP candidate John McCain in 2008 say they plan to vote for Romney in 2012.

When asked if she would endorse and stump for the presumptive GOP ticket, Palin responded, “Oh, 100 percent in support; I’m all in for Romney and Ryan.”

Shannon Bream’s interview with Palin can be seen below:

So while as of now Palin won’t be a featured speaker in Tampa, if she decides to go to Florida, which seems fairly probable after her political action committee spent $4,500 on hotel rooms, her presence there will draw a lot of media attention.  And who knows, the GOP could have last minute thoughts about having her speak after all or Fox News could put her to work.  And depending how the winds shift Sarah Palin may be the special gift received and opened in 2008 but not truly enjoyed or utilized to full potential until 2016 or maybe even 2020 (Sarah will only be 56-years-old in 2020; 4-years younger than Hillary was in 2008 when she ran for the Democrat nomination).

Romney-Ryan: America’s New Dream Team and a Clear Choice – Updated

Kevin Fobbs: For those not willing to hold their breath to see if they surprise us with Sarah as a guest speaker, speak up now to let the GOP know how you feel: to let Sarah speak:

In 2008, after Sarah Palin became our vice-presidential nominee, she instantly became the most prominent woman in the Republican Party. Since then, she has relentlessly supported the Tea Party and in 2010, she was one of the most valuable players in the best year the GOP has had in half a century. During that election cycle, she endorsed candidates like Nikki Haley, Renee Ellmers, Kristi Noem, Susana Martinez, Chris Christie, Sean Duffy, Bob McDonnell, Tim Scott, Rand Paul, and Allen West and she is back at is again this election cycle.  Additionally, there are few people who would dispute that Sarah Palin is a dynamic speaker with a large fan base in the Republican Party.  Donald Trump was on ‘On the Record’ the other night again stating how much he likes and respects Sarah Palin… so why aren’t they all speaking up for her now?

What this all adds up to, as Ed Morrisey noted over at Hot Air, is that Palin deserves a chance to speak at the convention.

Palin electrified the convention in 2008, and it’s just good manners to have the #2 from the last ticket and the 1st GOP woman on a presidential ticket to speak at the next convention. Few people in the party can fire up the grassroots like Palin does, and few people will draw the attention she gets. There is always room to offer her a good speaking slot at the convention, even if they have to juggle people around and they should do so, and do so quickly!

Yes, we want Mitt Romney to win, but we also want to make sure that everyone knows the bad old days of the Republican grassroots suffering in silence while our “leaders” in D.C. made decisions we didn’t agree with, are over. And Sarah Palin represents that. Right Wing News alone can’t generate enough signatures to make a difference. If it’s going to happen, it will be because YOU think they should “Let Sarah Speak”. So, if you agree that Sarah Palin should be given a speaking slot at the convention, then send a message by signing this petition (or contacting the Romney campaign or the RNC directly… or all three). If you really feel strongly about it, email this suggestion and petition out to some friends. Add the petition to Facebook, Twitter, or G+. Stand up, get the word out to let Sarah Speak!

Petition by iPetitions

PS: Some people claim Palin was offered a speaking slot and turned it down. However, that’s not what her gracious public statement about the matter actually said. Moreover, not only has the Romney campaign refused to comment, I reached out to the RNC yesterday and it also had nothing to say. I was referred over to Pam Stevens, who’s the Deputy Press Secretary for the 2012 RNC. She didn’t respond to an email about the subject. When this many people are deliberately staying silent when they could just say, “We invited Palin to speak and she declined,” it tells you all you need to know.

This article is absolutely not an anti-Romney-Ryan piece… They are the right team for the times, certainly compared to the alternative, but they would be helping themselves and the party in letting Sarah Palin speak!
