Palin: I Do Not Want to Leave the Republican Party, But If They Leave Me…

Sarah Palin said the people have spoken, so she is considering a run for the U.S. Senate in 2014.  In several recent independent polls including one taken by HotAir.com on whether Sarah should run for the Senate, an overwhelming number of participants said YES!

Asked by Sean Hannity on his radio show Tuesday about rumors that she will seek the Senate seat currently held by Democrat Mark Begich, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin replied, "I've considered it because people have requested me considering it.

"I'm still waiting to see, you know, what the lineup will be and hoping that, there again, there will be some new blood, new energy — not just kind of picking from the same old politicians in the state," Palin said.

So far, fellow Republicans Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell and Joe Miller have both announced their candidacies. Begich is up for re-election in 2014.

Saying “Begich has got to be replaced, Palin said he has not done what he has promised to do for the people of Alaska, and that was to represent what it is that the nation needs in terms of energy development and so many other ... development issues that are near and dear to an Alaskan's heart."

Palin was the spark that lit McCain's White House run on fire in 2008 with her electrifying VP convention acceptance speech and they were ahead until Senator McCain made the decision to temporarily suspend his campaign and head back to Washington to help deal with the pending financial crisis.  Senator Obama did not suspend his campaign.

Sarah Palin… spitfire, Mama Grizzly and mother of five, was a member of the City Council and the Mayor of Wasilla.  She chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and was the Governor of Alaska until she resigned the governor's office out of good conscience, when inundated with frivolous and unfounded lawsuits stemming from a media phenomenon known as ‘Palin Derangement Syndrome’ after running for VP, so the people of Alaska could have a focused Governor, as they deserved.  Palin was cleared of all the (trumped-up) charges, but felt it was unfair to her state to have a governor tied up in legal battles, no matter how unfounded.  The same media, of course, used her resignation as fodder against Palin as well.

Speculation of a Palin presidential bid in 2012 was high, but she instead starred in a reality TV show about her life in Alaska, focused on her family, became a Fox News analyst and aided other conservatives in their bids for office across the country in both 2010 and 2012.  She was so effective, she has been dubbed the ‘Kingmaker’. Sarah also hinted last week that she would be open to forming a new political party  for conservatives disaffected with the Republican party if the need arises.  “I do not want to leave the Republican Party”, said Palin, “but if the they leave me…?”

Brent Bozell just released his new book: Collusion: How the Media Stole the 2012 Election---and How to Stop Them from Doing It in 2016. (On Kindle: Collusion)  The full story really began in 2008… how the media stole the 2008 Election and colluded to destroy Sarah Palin.  See:

One can only hope that Americans are smarter than that and are waking up to the especially dirty politics and unholy marriage between the mainstream media and the Progressive politicos of past 5-years.

So the watch is on… Will Sarah jump into the race or not? Current incumbent Senator Mark Begich won the 2008 U.S. Senate race in Alaska by less than 4,000 votes over the late-Senator Ted Stevens because of prosecutorial misconduct by Department of Justice attorneys that wrongfully convicted the legendary political titan only one week before the election.

As for the compelling nature of the possible candidate herself, there is no question that Sarah Pain is one of the few public figures in America with the larger-than-life persona, charisma, communication skills, and sheer ability to connect with voters that can overwhelm an election. The enormous regard with which Palin is held throughout the heartland of America would generate a rallying cry to propel her to victory as a United States senator... in Alaska or Arizona where she and Todd now own a home.
