This topic reminds me of Anne Graham Lotz, Billy Graham’s daughter, saying after 9/11 that perhaps we needed to look within as a nation… for we, the Great American Experiment, was created/inspired through Divine Intervention passed through the Founding Fathers the colonists and patriots ever since who settled in this land that became the United States of America and fought for it/for us and then went on to create a Bill of Rights and a Constitution to guide us for as long as we had the sense to follow it… that even they (the Founding Fathers) would admit was far beyond their earthly wisdom. And we, the secular America we now live in, have abandoned Him in many ways, yet expect the same help, guidance and protection that we have always received.
