GUN OWNERS YOU HAVE TO READ THIS-BIG BROTHER IS AT THE VA HOSPITALS..PASS THIS ALONG AT ONCE
VA and Concealed Carry
Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun owners...
Thanks From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:
“I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass along. While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three questions : 1 . Did I feel stressed? 2. Did I feel threatened? 3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone? The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.”
Looks like they are going after the vets first. Other gun people, like retired law enforcement will probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will they have? Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as considering veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner veteran or not, you've been warned.. If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to them.
Be Very cautious about what you say and to whom. (From Facebook)
Family Facing $4 Million in Fines for Selling Bunnies
by Bob McCarty, Big Government – Photo AP File
Almost nine months after a Missouri dairy was ordered to stop selling cheese made from raw milk, I share details of another hare-raising story from the Show-Me State: John Dollarhite and his wife Judy of tiny Nixa, Mo., have been told by the USDA that, by Monday, they must pay a fine exceeding $90,000. If they don't pay that fine, they could face additional fines of almost $4 million. Why? Because they sold more than $500 worth of bunnies - $4,600 worth to be exact - in a single calendar year. 30 cities dropped from U.S. anti-terror grants
WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security has notified more than 30 cities across the country that they are losing anti-terror funding from the federal government.
The department said Thursday that money for the Urban Areas Security Initiative grants has been cut by about $170 million as part of a larger budget cut that eliminated more than $780 million in grant money from the latest federal budget. The budget cuts mean that only 31 high-threat urban areas, including New York and Washington, will still receive grants this year.
Texas is taking the largest hit, with Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio no longer eligible to receive millions in funding through the Department of Homeland Security’s Urban Areas Security Initiative grant program. Combined, the cities received more than $14.5 million in federal funding last year. Full Article Here
Circumcision Ban to Appear on San Francisco Ballot
SAN FRANCISCO—A group seeking to ban the circumcision of male children in San Francisco has succeeded in getting their controversial measure on the November ballot, meaning voters will be asked to weigh in on what until now has been a private family matter.
City elections officials confirmed Wednesday that the initiative had received enough signatures to appear on the ballot, getting more than 7,700 valid signatures from city residents. Initiatives must receive at least 7,168 signatures to qualify.
If the measure passes, circumcision would be prohibited among males under the age of 18. The practice would become a misdemeanor offense punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 or up to one year in jail. There would be no religious exemptions. Read rest of post HERE at the WSJ
McDonalds CEO: The Clown Stays, Food Nazis
Okay, he didn’t quite put it that way, but that’s how I heard it:
The 48-year-old, red-haired mascot has come under fire from health-care professionals and consumer groups who, in recent days, have asked the fast-food chain to retire Ronald McDonald. But McDonald’s Chief Executive Officer Jim Skinner staunchly defended the clown at the company’s annual meeting on Thursday, saying, “Ronald McDonald is going nowhere.”
Shareholders seemed to agree, voting down a proposal to require the hamburger giant to tally the financial impact of defending its children’s meals. Just 6% of shareholders voted in favor of the resolution.
McDonalds has been sued, they’ve been lobbied to remove toys from Happy Meals because that makes them pedophiles or something, and now this.
Can you imagine sitting around all day not only worrying about what somebody else is eating, but making a concerted effort to tell everybody what to eat and control what restaurants sell and how they sell it?
It just occurred to me that this is the first time I’ve come to the defense of a clown since once admonishing myself for calling Al Gore fat (I loathe ad hominem attacks).

Uttering 'Jesus' in school 'not protected free speech'
A hearing is scheduled Monday before the5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appealsin New Orleans that could determine if students in elementary schools have the protections of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The case arose in the Plano Independent School District in Texas where Thomas Elementary School Principal Lynn Swanson and Razor Elementary School Principal Jackie Bomchill were sued for restricting student speech when it referenced "God" or "Jesus."
According to the Liberty Institute,in the first incident, officials banning 8-year-old Jonathan Morgan from handing out candy canes with Jesus' name on them to classmates at a school party.

But that's not all, the group said.
'Then they confiscated a little girl's pencils since they mentioned God'

Second Amendment Takes Double Shot in California
A double-whammy came down today against gun rights advocates in California. First, the California Assembly voted to prohibit the open carry of unloaded handguns. Current law had allowed unloaded weapons to be carried openly in public.
“You are disarming our citizens” while doing little to disarm criminals, said Assemblyman Jim Nielsen, R-Gerber.
“It is not just the right to keep, it is the right to bear arms,” said Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks.
California Democrats had seized upon the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in the bill’s introduction. Unable to pass a bill last year that accomplished the same goal, they brought a similar measure to the Assembly days after the Giffords’ tragedy in Arizona.

Secret Service Grills 7th Grader Over Facebook Post About Obama… And Without Parental Notification
A 13-year-old boy in Washington state faced federal interrogation by a Secret Service agent over a Facebook posting that warned President Obama of suicide bombers, q13fox.com reports.
Vito LaPinta of Tacoma, Wash., said he posted a message on Facebook after Usama bin Laden’s death, saying Obama should be careful of possible retaliatory acts against him by other terror members, according to the station.
“I was saying how Usama was dead and for Obama to be careful because there could be suicide bombers,” the boy told the station.
A week later, the boy said a man walked into Truman Middle School “with a suit and glasses and he said he was part of the Secret Service.”
“He told me it was because of a post I made that indicated I was a threat toward the president,” he said.

Feds Sting Amish Farmer for selling Raw Milk Locally… Really? With all our problems, this is what the Feds are focusing on and using our taxpayer money for?
FDA Headquarters, Silver Spring, Maryland
A yearlong sting operation, including aliases, a 5 a.m. surprise inspection and surreptitious purchases from an Amish farm in Pennsylvania, culminated in the federal government announcing this week that it has gone to court to stop Rainbow Acres Farm from selling its contraband to willing customers in the Washington area.
The product in question: unpasteurized milk.
It’s a battle that’s been going on behind the scenes for years, with natural foods advocates arguing that raw milk, as it’s also known, is healthier than the pasteurized product, while the Food and Drug Administration says raw milk can carry harmful bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli and listeria.
