ObamaCare Repeal or Rationing…

On a Mission to Repeal 'Obamacare' - 'Lock, Stock, and Barrel'

September 24, 2010

Rep Mike Pence and possible candidate for President in 2012 is
on a Mission to ‘Repeal Obamacare' - 'Lock, Stock, and Barrel'
Rep. Mike Pence spoke on what the GOP would do if it regains the majority at the midterms but no commitment on whether he's aiming for a higher office when he appeared on GretaWire last night.

"We said" is becoming more and more the shorter phrase of "see we told you so." As pointed out on September 9 in my post, "Premium Hikes, coming to an insurer near you" that what Conservatives have said before and still say about ObamaCare and it's obvious oppressive ideas of a Government run system are very quickly becoming a reality long before the majority of the provisions are actually put into place, conveniently after this midterm election and even still after the 2012 election.

Here, yet one more example of "we said" in this post by the Conservative website redstate.com aptly named, "ObamaCare Promise of Rationing Broken by FDA". This is simply stunning, the fact that this ObamaCare was passed and enacted without any Republican or Public support for the measure and to add to this the only Bi-Partisanship that was related to this massive bureaucratic nightmare was the opposition to it.

Now, let's be honest the FDA for a long time have not allowed certain drugs to be massed produced for many reasons mostly due to the uncertainty that they may actually work or harm the person using the drug but never and I do mean never has the FDA used this particular excuse for the denial of production and use of any drug and that excuse is this, "an advisory panel for the Food and Drug Administration recommended that the late stage cancer drug Avastin be "de-labeled" because of cost considerations."

Well, there you have it Laredo just six months into ObamaCare and the very first death panel shows its face. This is the rationing body that was so heavily discussed in the debate against this law, these faceless bureaucrats have absolutely no RIGHT to take something away from an American that may save a life, but wasn't that what ObamaCare was all about, saving lives.

No, this quote from the post explains further, "It is critical to note, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) did not propose denying cancer victims the right to the drug because of the safety of the drug, but because of a formula containing cost as a factor."

What formula you say, "By using as a cost factor in their decision-making, the FDA has begun the implementation of ObamaCare and breast cancer patients may be its first victim."

The formula is called QALY for Quality Adjusted Life Years or in ObamaCare terms its called 'the complete lives system' and it looks like this.

Read more about it from American Spectator writer David Catron titled, "How much is a year of your life worth?" where he explains this radical theory of the "cost" of a human life to a bureaucrat. David writes, "If you are under the impression that it is impossible to calculate the value of a human life, you are obviously not a progressive policy expert or health care bureaucrat. This calculation, so elusive for philosophers and sages throughout the millennia, is child's play for such people. They have, in fact, already devised a formula for pricing out your life. It is called the
"quality-adjusted-life-year" (QALY), and it assigns a numerical value to a year of life."

"A year of perfect health, for example, is given a value of 1.0 while a year of sub-optimum health is rated between 0 and 1. If you are confined to a wheelchair, a year of your life might be valued at half that of your ambulatory neighbor. If you are blind or deaf, you also score low. All that remains is to assign a specific dollar value to the QALY and, voilĂ , your life has a price tag."

This is the most radical and perverse idea one could imagine and it is happening already. Now, get informed and get ready to vote in November so this oppressive intrusion into private life and property can be defunded and eventually repealed.
