Concentrate on these targets first

Video Above:  Puerto Rico Could be 51st State

*Video:  Beck’s TV Show on the Dems’ Puerto Rican Power Grab *

The Democrats are looking at 12 million illegal aliens, SEIU union voter control (39,000) voters in the Dist4ict of Columbia which the 4 million felons, 4 million Puerto Ricans – 2 additional senators and 6 additional house members for just Puerto Rico.  This is all about diluting the vote, redistributing the wealth and controlling those above for their purposes.

Anyone who stands against Puerto Rican Statehood will be accused of being a racist…  It has already been started.  Is this really the hope and change people voted for???

Please let us remember… it was the Republicans who freed the slaves and fought for Civil Rights. Martin Luther King was a Republican, until JFK cut him a deal.  Democrats have a legacy of using minorities for their purposes and then holding them down.

H.R. 2499 - THEY ARE VOTING TODAY

(Information supplied to me via email by Eagle Forum on 4/28/2010)

This bill appears to be a rather vague - and we have learned that is exactly the intent of MOST legislation - especially legislation from this administration! Glenn Beck's show tonight reveals how this is actually going to sew another star on our flag.

Remember, concentrate on these targets and ask to speak with the Chief of Staff listed.

The way this bill is explained -

Supporters of HR 2499 state that this is simply a non-binding, self-determination process for the people of Puerto Rico. There’s nothing further from the truth.

The fact is that this is a Statehood Trap for both the people of Puerto Rico and the U.S. House of Representatives.

The process is rigged to force voters to select one of the two least popular options. And then force Congress to admit Puerto Rico as a State under public pressure and charges of bigotry.

The rabidly pro-statehood New Progressive Party, known by its Spanish acronym “PNP,” controls both the governor’s office and the legislature in the self-governing U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Frustrated to the point of apoplexy that Puerto Ricans have rejected statehood and voted to remain a U.S. Commonwealth in all three elections in which they have voted on the issue, PNP leaders have decided to exert their one-party control of Puerto Rico’s government to implement their own version of the “nuclear option.”

This time however, the PNP is leaving nothing to chance. To avoid the possibility that Puerto Ricans might choose to remain a commonwealth again, in Hugo Chavez fashion they simply removed that option from the ballot.

In recent referendum on the status of the island, none of the three options have received a majority of the vote. Commonwealth always wins with a plurality of the vote. Statehood supporters believe that by having a first round vote focusing on Commonwealth Yes or No, the combination of statehood and independence supporters will guarantee that Commonwealth is eliminated as an option. After that vote, statehood is guaranteed to receive an overwhelming majority of voters who fear the economic and social consequences of independence.

The problem for the U.S. Congress is that under the vague language of HR 2499 statehood supporters will achieve a majority vote for statehood in a “congressionally sanctioned referendum”.

What happens next is spelled out in the 2008 Statehood Party Platform and in the local legislation (HR 2497) drafted to authorize the local referendum.

Eight months after statehood wins a majority vote, there would be another election to choose U.S. Senators and six or seven U.S. Representatives. “…after the term of 8 months has elapsed, the People shall be convened so that they may elect the Congressmen and Senators who shall become members of the United States Congress.” (Based on the current leadership - PNP - do you think that these representatives are going to be conservatives or progressives?)

The 2008 PNP platform says that Puerto Rico will follow the same strategy Tennessee used to gain admission to the Union in 1796. That is to dispatch its newly elected congressmen to Washington to demand their seats in Congress.

But the Puerto Ricans will have one weapon the Tennesseans didn’t.  As PNP leader and former Governor Carlos Romero Barceló, told local newspapers, “They [congressional leaders] will have to support [statehood] in order to avoid being accused of bigotry against Hispanics.
