A Government Worker Takedown from an Unexpected Source

The public employee unions do not realize the forces they have unleashed with their greed. Openly boasting of their relationship with Obama as they are protected from the recession as no other Americans, recipients of lavish benefits unthinkable in the private sector, they have stirred deep resentment among the American public, a phenomenon which can only grow as taxes rise.

It has gotten to the point where even Saturday Night Live mocks the overpaid, underperforming public employee stereotype. To be sure there are dedicated, brave, and hard-working employees of government. But slackers don't get culled out, and instead are indulged - particularly if they are teachers with tenure.

Watch and enjoy this takedown of greedy public employees.

This is a funny skit, but the reality it is based in far from funny and what is even sadder is that the unions and their employees are not understanding or trying to understand that if we all don't tighten our belts and take some cuts, there will be no way to save the economy!! Everyone is going to have to make some big sacrifices or the suffering that will ultimately come to all will be unstoppable.

Just last week, the Capistrano Valley School District in South Orange County, CA, a well to do area overall, asked their teachers to take temporary pay cuts because their district is millions is debt (as is LA). The union refused... on their behalf. The teachers went on strike and today the school board caved in.

It is time for all of us to educate some of these people on some reality and math.

I can only hope that these parents will insist on 110% percent from these teachers... as long as there is a school district. But if some of these unions don't concessions or the unions aren't broken... soon there won't be jobs or benefits... or teachers for anyone in states like California!!
