…The resolution to proclaim Sept. 24, 2009, as Islam Day passed the Senate on a 22-3 vote. It had previously passed the House.
The bill seeks to recognize “the rich religious, scientific, cultural and artisti contributions” that Islam and the Islamic world have made.
There is, as far as I know, no “Christianity Day” designation
in Hawaiian law, though the state did designate Good Friday a government holiday,
which courts ruled was “primarily proposed to increase the frequency of legal holidays.”
No such rationale here.

20 Years With Wright but Won't Celebrate Nat'l Prayer Day?
President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning. All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance.

For Obama not to celebrate a National Day of Prayer is no surprise. He refuses to speak in a the presence of Christ's name at a Christian college, he professes that this country is not a Christian nation, he worshiped ( I mean attended for 20 years) Rev. Wright's congregation, he voted to kill children who survived abortions, he bows to muslim leaders, and he has yet to choose a Christian church to attend in D.C. The people who voted for him based on ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, are finding out just how un American he actually is. He is worse than any president I have ever lived under. I hope you O BAAA BAAA ma sheep dip followers are happy. You, too, will suffer from his socialistic deceptive leadership.
